This classic southern home is located on Lady's Island, just minutes from Historic Downtown Beaufort, Parris Island, Hunting Island State Park and Fripp Island.

Beautiful views of the marsh provide exceptional sunsets, and a moss draped live oak several hundred years old allows visitors to experience the best the Southern Lowcountry has to offer.

Perfect for golf excursions, Marine Corps graduations, weddings, family vacations, or any opportunity to explore Beaufort and the surrounding Lowcountry. Relax and enjoy this calm retreat or take advantage of the many activities in the area - either way, you are sure to plan a return trip before your first has ended.

This property does not accommodate pets of any kind. There are many nice boarding facilities in the area. Advance reservations are recommended and in many cases, required.

What a great place!

This place is amazing. Very clean, has everything that you would need, and a great location. The beds are so comfortable! I highly recommend this place if visiting Beaufort!

Right place, right time

We were expecting a group of 9 for a wedding, so we needed enough beds for 7 adults and 2 kids. This place checked all the boxes and was close to the wedding venue on Hunting Island. It was comfortable for what we needed and the property manager was available when needed. It reminded us of our farm house we grew up with in the midwest!

Cute cottage great location Martha the manager was super nice and always available to help us not fancy just very southern beach comfort we will definitely stay here again close to town and good restaurants view of bay marsh and river across street in open space was beautiful

Lovely home with all of the amenities you could possibly need. Very quiet well kept neighborhood. This all made to a perfect girls weekend.

USMC Graduation

Great location to Parris Island and convenient to stores etc. Would highly recommend this as the go to location for a larger group coming in for the events.

Homey & relaxing

This was a perfect setting for 4 generations of family to relax and celebrate our sons graduation a Marine. Older but lovely home, well kept and clean. The location is ideal if you're attending a Parris Island graduation--just 15 minutes away.

Comfortable, clean and cozy

We had a lovely time in this home. We were there for my sons graduation from Bootcamp. It was close to base and other places. It was clean and comfortable. It was great to be able to have the whole family stay together and be able to enjoy time with our new Marine. I'd stay here again.

Healing Dragons

This is the second time we have rented this house for the Beaufort Dragon Boat Festival. The ladies had a great time here. It was nice that we could have team dinners here without having to worry about finding a restaurant for all of us. We will definitely be back.

Marine Graduation

Beautiful property with a large kitchen and plenty of bedrooms. Perfect for our large family. The only downside was we spent so much time on the Island we had very little time to really enjoy the property! Would definitely recommend!

Charming

This property is not new or renovated. It felt like we were guests at someone's MeeMaw's house- and I mean that in the best way! This property felt so much like a family home that my new Marine chose to stay there and hang out with the family before heading home after bootcamp! This is probably one of my favorite places we've stayed!

Beautiful setting

The trees and sunset are delightful. The house is spacious but smelled very strongly of mildew. We had to air it out upon arrival. Even still it was a very strong odor. The beds were comfortable and it worked well for our family trip.

Third Times a Charm

This was the third time me and my family chose to stay at Southern Comfort. It was just as pleasant as the first time. After being together all day, it was nice to come home and have enough space to mellow out by one's self in a bedroom, on the porch, or in the yard. Everything we needed was there. Thanks for the southern hospitality!

Everything was terrific. I rented Southern Comfort for my In-laws at Thanksgiving. They enjoyed the comfort of the furnishings, the warmth of the area, and the condiments that were on hand in the pantry. I would gladly rent this house again for my out of town quests.

Lovely southern home

We had six adults (three couples) and this lovely old southern home afforded us each a comfortable bedroom, plenty of bathroom space, a washer/dryer, and peaceful surroundings in which to relax and refresh after busy days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property to others. As a parent, it was heartwarming after a long day to hear the whole family in the living room laughing and watching television. The kitchen had everything we needed too. A very nice HOME! -- much better than a hotel.

First experience with vrbo

The home was lovely. It was clean and well maintained. Communications between us and the property manager were very good. The home worked well for the size and dynamics of our group. Our family was there for Marine Corps graduation and the home is located conveniently for that occasion. The view of the sunset over the water from the look out across the road is fabulous. Also close to stores and restaurants if any are necessary. Had a wonderful family time.

Beautiful, Comfortable House! Perfect for Marine Graduation!

The house is very cozy, comfortable, and spacious. Our family stayed here four nights, as we attended Family Orientation, Family Day, and Graduation at MCRD Parris Island. The house is about 15 minutes away from the base, so it is an easy drive to and from PI. It was a great place to bring our son "home" after graduating boot camp. We all enjoyed our stay at the house! Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Martha in person, she was very helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Our family definitely recommends this beautiful property!

Relaxing!

This was the halfway point for all of my mom’s siblings to meet one more time before one of them passes away. The crowd I traveled with was well into their 80s and 90s. While this house is not handicapped accessible, it was a lovely and relaxing place for everybody to stay. It was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. We made ourselves at home and it felt just like being at grandmas house. Everything we needed was right there and it was only minutes from good restaurants, entertainment, and the water. I would highly recommend this place and would certainly stay there again.

Healing Dragons

My dragon boat team came down from Charlotte, NC to participate in the 1st dragon boat race as a part of the 58th annual water festival. I had 10 of my teammates staying in Southern Comfort. It was nice that most of the team was able to stay there and we were able to cook dinner both Friday and Saturday for the team rather than having to go out. We will definitely stay again next year if the team comes back down for the race. I have never been to Beaufort before and I would like to have had more time to do some exploring. It looked like a great little town.

Wouldn't stay again.

The house was overall nice, but absolutely full of roaches, had the everywhere in the bathroom and kitchen, our friend even had some in the bed with him. House definitely needs updating and a exterminator!!!!!!! Now we have to worry about carrying them home in our bags :-(

Excellent Spacious, Cozy, Quiet Home!!

11 of us from six different states recently attended our new Marine's graduation and had the great pleasure of staying together at this lovely home. Other than the food, it was well supplied with everything that we needed so all we had to do was concentrate on being together and enjoying the moment in this very spacious yet cozy home. The family's artwork and photos are wonderful and added the perfect touch for inspiring us to feel "at home". The location is excellent as it is not far from the MCRD or the quaint surrounding towns. Thank you for making your amazing home available as it contributed perfectly to our family gathering! Lastly but certainly not the least... the lovely lady who manages the property is such a delight to work with! Thank you!!!

Family with four kids aged four & under!

We were in town for my brother's Marine Corps graduation. Myself & my husband, our two kids, my sister & brother-in-law, their two kids, my mother, and one family friend. The house was very spacious and clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view out front is beautiful and the kids enjoyed exploring the backyard. There was plenty of room for all of us, and we were able to move a few mattresses around so that the little ones could sleep in the rooms with their parents. (The window alcove spaces in the top floor bedrooms are a perfect fit for a twin mattress.) It's a short distance from Parris Island and also close to downtown Beaufort. The bathrooms are large and the showers are comfortable. We stayed three nights and would definitely choose this house again if we came back as a large group. After the graduation, my brother, his girlfriend and her parents, and my stepdad and his girlfriend all joined us at the house to open presents. Lots of comfortable seating for everyone. It really felt like home. Thank you so much!

Marine Graduation

The home was quaint and spacious, and the pictures shown reflected this, but when we arrived for our new Marines' graduation, the house seemed to be marginally kept up. The carpeting/remnant area rugs were not the cleanest, and when I opened the fold-out couch I found "dust bunnies" with a sock and a childs ball underneath. Apparently a dustmop had not been used under there. Outside,the grill cooking surface was dirty and propane tank was empty. There are cobwebs and no screens in the windows and there was no way to prop open windows to allow fresh air in if wanted. The half-bath toilet had note on it to make sure it doesn't continue to run after being flushed (why not repair it instead)? House is advertised to accomodate 11 and will fine, but there are only 4 dining chairs for the table and 4 bar stools. We had 10 in our party and used patio chairs from outside to have enough seating. We found food/condiments in the refrigerator; we have never seen this before in a rental house/condo that we have used in the past. After these findings, we thought the rental price and cleaning fee was too high for the value.
