We do our best to work with the elements of living in the woods in close proximity to the marsh, but sometimes following many days of rain, it can get ahead of us. I am usually the one who checks the house prior to check in however I was out of town and someone else did it. It was brought to my attention that the two HEPA two air purifiers may not have been turned on prior to your arrival. If that is the case, please accept our apologies, as these units have been a huge support in reducing the mustiness in the home. We appreciate your comments and please know we are committed to staying ahead of the situation by continuing to look for additional viable solutions. Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize it was not what you had hoped for. As mentioned to you when you informed of the problem upon departure, our pest control service had just been in a few days prior. Thankfully you mentioned many of the palmetto bugs were dead which of course is what we hope for.....even if we don't want to see them at all. None of the housekeeping crew, guests since your stay or myself, have seen any, dead or alive, since your departure. This feels like a timing thing that had some 'coming out of the woodwork' on the way towards their demise. Again, we regret that you had to experience one of the many joys of being in the Lowcountry which is all too common at a property with multiple trees next to the water.
