The Maple Cottage - WALK TO BEACH, LAKE MICHIGAN, AND DOWNTOWN!

This is a beautifully decorated and very well cared-for home in a great location just a few blocks from downtown Frankfort, Frankfort Beach, and Lake Michigan. The location is also very quiet and safe! It has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a full-size kitchen, a dining room, a washer and dryer, a backyard deck with dining table and chairs, a new propane grill, and a very nice backyard with a backyard fire ring and chairs. It is truly an exceptional home that provides for a great vacation!

NEIGHBORHOOD:

Frankfort has a beautiful Main Street that runs along Betsie Lake and ends at Frankfort Beach and Lake Michigan. The vibrant downtown has lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants to explore. The house is located just north of downtown. It is about a 5 minute walk to downtown Frankfort, Frankfort Beach, and Lake Michigan from the house. The house is also just a 20-minute drive from the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Guests have access to the entire house, except for the basement which is locked off for storage of personal items.


THE SPACE:

In terms of technology, the home is equipped with 400 Mbps high-speed Wi-Fi. There is also a newer Roku television with live digital streaming. Hulu provides the equivalent of cable channels and Pure Flix, Netflix, Disney+, and HBOMax are available on the television as well.

​The house is available for rent year-round as it has a forced-air furnace using nature gas. Although it does not have air-conditioning, this vacation home generally stays pleasantly cool in the summer given its proximity to Lake Michigan. There are also lots of fans in the house (including one in each bedroom) if needed. There are It is truly an exceptional home in a fantastic location for exploring Frankfort, Lake Michigan, and all that northwest Michigan has to offer!


TRANSIT:

The Benzie Bus does provide public transportation, but it is recommended to have your own vehicle.


PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1) PET POLICY: Up to 3 dogs are permitted at the property. If bringing 1 to 3 dogs, please make certain that they are included on the reservation and that the pet fee is appropriately paid. More than 3 dogs is strictly prohibited and any pets other than dogs are also strictly prohibited.

2) AIR CONDITIONING: Please note that the property does NOT have air conditioning. As such, it may get warm in the house during the summer if it is warm outside.

3) NUMBER OF GUESTS: Please note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct.

4) EARLY CHECK-IN: Our policy is to allow early check-in on the day of arrival if the property is available for check-in. We will not know until the day before arrival whether or not the property will be available for early check-in or not. You can check with our local property manager the day before arrival or on your arrival day to see if the property will be available for early check-in or not.

5) LATE CHECK-OUT: We maintain a very strict and structured cleaning schedule. As such, late check-outs are strictly prohibited.
