The Cooper is a private bungalow unit just blocks from West River Parkway -minutes from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. The main floor of this charming home has rich hardwood floors -a sun filled living room with gas fireplace , a spacious dining room -a well equipped kitchen- 2 delightful bedrooms - a full bath with tub/shower and in the lower level there is an inviting media /family room with a 55ā€ tv with sound bar and a laundry room . Perfectly located , convenient to most everything. Itā€™s a great place, quiet area and I have loved living in this neighborhood for the last 20 years!

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as good as the first time! As a really nice touch, the host added a drying rack to the laundry room, which was something I had noted in my previous review. Always nice to see someone who takes feedback into consideration!

Lovely home, nice furnishings, comfortable beds, kitchen with all essentials. Loved having the fireplace, so cozy on the cold evenings spent watching the snow fall. Great basement room with big TV for family viewing. We loved the location, walked to coffee shops, diners, and cute shops, as well as the parkway along the River.

The Cooper was perfect for our needs. Loved that the main living area was all on one floor as my husband has walking difficulties. Having a laundry was terrific as was the immaculate stove and refrigerator. The location was great...easy to get around. All the folks we needed to see in different directions were about 20 minutes away.
A trip to nearby Minnehaha Falls brought back many memories.
I had my brother-in-law translate the beautiful wall hanging. "I think there is a child in all of us, but we often forget to free the child to play."

Great Neighborhood in a prime location

This is a great place in a quiet, residential neighborhood, yet only a few blocks from E. Lake Street. Downtown, the airport, the river, and the U. of Minnesota campus are all short drives away. We were in town for our daughterā€™s graduation at the U and it suited our needs perfectly.

The Cooper is a clean, cozy and quiet place to stay. Great location, close to Lake Street, Turtle Bread (excellent brunch location) and not far from Minnehaha Falls. The unit is located in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood, with plenty of street parking. Good communication with host. We were in town for a family event and the tasteful bungalow suited our needs perfectly. Lots of amenities, including a clothes steamer. We will definitely stay at the Cooper for our next visit.

I have family that has lived in the neighborhood for 60 years so I was so excited when we found the Cooper! The Cooper was amazing and we would love to stay there again. The duplex was the perfect size for us and had all of the essentials we needed. Backyard is so cozy, I just wish weā€™d had the time to really enjoy the outdoor space. This neighborhood is great!! It is quiet and relaxing. Just blocks away from the River road where you can walk, run or bike along the Mississippi River. We are from the St Louis metro area so I liked walking across the Lake St bridge to see the mighty Mississippi. This is such a great location, close to everything. The host, Beck, was great. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your place.

The place is pretty much as described, and was a good spot for us to stay while visiting family. The beds are SUPER comfortable, and the location was great for us. Checking in & out was a breeze and the owner responded quickly to messages. Like every TC house we've stayed in, the floors creak - not a complaint, just a heads up for anyone not used to these old houses. Laundry in the basement is great. The kitchen is somewhat sparsely stocked, but it served us well and there are markets not too far away. I just hope the smoke alarm has been moved away from the bathroom door - if not, keep the bathroom door closed after showering until the steam is completely gone,

Perfect home for a month visit for our small family

Clean, convenient, comfortable, quiet neighborhood with easy access to twin cities activities. 2 br home with furnished basement had everything our family needed for a month long visit. Very clean everywhere and responsive owner. Former school with park across the street was perfect for romping in the park with other kids. Brand new deck with tables and chairs for enjoying summer evenings. Recommend for family visits!

Lovely bungalow and location

The house was great with comfy beds and nicely furnished. I loved the location near bike paths and Lake Street with easy access to Minneapolis or St Paul. So, overall an excellent choice. A couple of suggestions from this (older) traveler:ā€”the shower and tub are fine but it needs a grab bar on the side. ā€”when itā€™s really hot out (like now) the AC should be slightly lower than the fixed 78 degrees. Nights were just too hot. ā€”the kitchen is fine in every way, but it needs a new garbage disposal that works well.ā€”And it would better to have slightly hotter water; it is nicely warm but I would not say it is really hot. Sorry to be a bit picky but everything else was wonderful and I simply wanted it to be nearer perfect.

We had an excellent stay here. This property is walking distance from family for us, so it was ideally located to provide both some independent space while making it easy to spend time together. The proximity to the river was also perfect, it's very quick to hop onto neighboring bike paths for scenic runs. Check-in was well-described by our host ahead of time, so we had no issues getting settled in despite arriving rather late at night.The space itself was perfect. Spacious enough to make breakfasts and coffee together in the morning, with a nice sitting room upstairs to wind down before bed. All rooms were immaculately clean, with the beds crisply made and extremely comfortable. I was initially a bit hesitant about the mattress, but we slept extremely comfortably every night and found even the pillows to be excellent quality. The kitchen was well-stocked with useful utensils and some pantry items. I often find VRBOs don't have practical kitchen items, but this one was very well-suited to our week-long stay.I only had two suggestions, both of which are only to improve the functionality of the space even further, and these in no way negatively impacted our stay. It would be nice to add mirrors to the bedrooms, so that if multiple people are trying to shower and get ready to go somewhere, they are not limited to using the mirror bathroom. The second suggestion is just to add a drying rack to the laundry room.We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!

Cute Duplex, Great Location, Responsive Owner

Just finished a 3 night stay and all I can say is very positive. Firstly, the unit is part of a duplex. It is very nicely decorated. There is a fantastic gas fireplace in the living room (used that every day), 2 nice bedrooms, all new appliances (at least they looked that way), a downstairs TV room and laundry. The unit is well decorated and modern. There are plenty of the items you would need for a stay. All you'll need is food, and you're set. There is PLENTY of on-street parking, and the area is SAFE. The house is a few blocks from the main drag, which puts you within walking distance of plenty of eateries. I suggest the Hi-Lo diner or Dogwood Cafe. There are many more and can could go on and on. Buck, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. He was very responsive. He had fresh bottled water, coffee, and creamer ready for our arrival. If we go back, we'll definitely try to stay here again.
