Newly renovated, cute and cozy. 9 feet ceilings with ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom. Central heat and air, tankless hot water, jetted soaking tub, electric fireplace adds to the comfort factor. Real hard wood floors, ceramic tile and tasteful faux finishes combine into something greater than the sum of its parts, making you not want to ever leave. The secondary sleep area is located in the living room; full-size pull down murphy bed with a very comfortable memory foam mattress.

Donna was an amazing guest. We would host her again in a second!! During our chats, she told us how glad she was that our space was so fully stocked, that she could prepare full meals for her loved ones she was visiting. She found our space to be warm and inviting, from the fireplace to the jetted tub. She was very respectful and left the space in great condition ♥️ Thanks and blessings to you, Donna💕♥️

Fred and Nita are wonderful hosts. Single women traveling alone appreciate the extra care of prayer protection and you will find this cozy cupcake house well covered will sprinkles of prayer, love and nuances of family if even for a few days stay! Grateful for this level of hospitality!!!

The Cupcake House was perfect for our short stay in Montgomery. The location was centrally located for everything and everybody we wanted to see. I love older homes. This one is a beauty and obviously well-cared for. Oak Park is a short, easy walk away if you want a morning stroll. Nita and Fred were the epitome of hospitable and made us feel well-cared for. The fact that they own the adjoining bakery and offer complimentary, delicious cupcakes is also a plus! Thank you Nita and Fred. The Cupcake House was just what we needed.

Sweet Stay

This is a cute little house very nicely renovated and well stocked with everything you need in both kitchen and bathroom. The only issue for us is a larger bed is needed. It was not big enough for two people (and we are on the smaller size)but I don’t think bed size is listed. It’s a great location to all the historic sites we were visiting. The neighborhood is run downed with a lot of vacant/boarded up buildings and homes but we never felt unsafe and should not deter staying there. The hosts were available with questions providing local restaurants and the cupcakes were the icing on the cake!

Thank you Julia for the 5 star review as well as your helpful comments. We will make sure we update the details on our site, especially regarding the bed. It is a standard queen size bed and we are so sorry you found it too small. Thanks for taking such great care of the property during your stay; we'd love to host you again at any time! Glad you enjoyed the cupcakes. 😊 Spot on about the neighborhood. It is an older, forgotten, historically significant neighborhood that is in transition. However slowly the process is moving, we are excited about the progress we have observed. One of the reasons we opened a business here is to spur revitalization. To date, there are at least (4) Short Term Rentals in the area within walking distance of Cupcake House(at least 2 are active, 1 is pending and not sure about the 4th). Our local city officials have been very helpful with tearing down dilapidated properties with more tear downs on the schedule. We will continue doing our part to help bring this area back to and beyond what it once was so generations can appreciate its rich history and cultural significance. Blessings, Fred & Nita

The best!

I’ve loved staying with Nita and Fred at the cupcake house. I especially appreciate it as I just checked into a place in Birmingham and the process and the place has just been hellacious The cupcake house had everything you could ever want, and all the comforts of home and best of all it has Fred and Nita. There was laundry facilities if you needed them, a Jacuzzi tub if you were looking to relax. And electric fireplace for ambience, and a well equipped kitchen. It was extremely comfortable for the two nights that I was there. And it was within a couple miles of everything in downtown Montgomery that you might want to visit. I am already planning my next trip to the cupcake house

Sweet Little Stay

My husband and I were very impressed with our stay. This place smelled fresh and likely the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in. The amenities are excellent! We were expecting hotel soaps and body washes, but instead the bathroom was stocked with Dove bodywashes for men and women, face masks, scrubbing soaps, Jergens lotion, and similar products. The bedding, towls, and such all were clean and fresh. The kitchen is well stocked, there's even an airfryer! The neighborhood does look kinda sketchy, but we didn't experience any issues. The hosts are very kind and available. They were dealing with their own personal emergency the weekend we were there, but still reached out to make sure we were having a good stay and didn't need anything. This is a perfect little getaway and will absolutely be our first choice if we're looking to stay in the area again.
