Come enjoy our beautiful pool home on a large 100' lot located in Marathon, in the heart of the Florida Keys. There is immediate ocean and gulf access through Boot Key Harbor to the 7 Mile Bridge for big game or back country fishing. There is plenty of room for your boat with 50 feet of dockage available and a 5+ foot draft. Surround yourself with the amazing tropical landscaping, or relax under the large screened porch. Dozens of palm trees, orchids and native Florida landscape surround this private home. Plenty of patio furniture make this the ultimate Keys retreat. Cement walkways take you from the porch and carport to the dock and patio area. The pool patio offers plenty of sunshine to work on your Florida tan. Lounge chairs and chairs available by the pool.
This home has parking for three vehicles and one boat trailer. Trailers with guides not permitted inside carport. Guides must be removed. Rates quoted are for a maximum of 8 guests. Leaser must be at least 27 years old.

Area: Marathon is in the heart of the Florida Keys, between Key West and Key Largo. It is one of the few areas in the Keys with a movie theater, sandy beach, shopping, and dining all within a few miles of one another. It is a short drive to the Dolphin and Turtle Research Centers, Pigeon Key, Crane Point Hammock, Aquarium Encounters, boat rentals and tackle shops. Home Depot and Publix are within one mile to service any of your needs.

No smoking in the house. Kitchen and floors must be left clean with no debris. House must be left in order and in same condition found on arrival.

House has a carport and large driveway. We can accommodate three cars and one boat trailer. 30 St is a dead end . There is no place to turn around with a trailer. Launch your boat prior to arrival. Ramp is at 33 St Gulf. It is best to pick up your boat day of departure on your way out. Otherwise, a large boat/trailer would need to back down 30 St to the highway.

Do not place chum or bait boxes in the recycle bin. Do not place plastic bags in the recycle bin.

Please do not overextend the screen doors. The closures will break. Do not move porch furniture. $150 weekly fee to heat the pool.

Awesome Location and Pool!

My family really enjoyed the pool. Perfect location for a day trip to Key West. So many great local restaurants and Sombrero beach is wonderful! Surfaces and general areas were clean but the house could use a deep cleaning which is tough with a rental property. We would definitely rent again!!

The home is super combiner to get to! The house was accurate to the description. Not fancy (priced right) but perfect to be on the boat and enjoy the poolside and grill out.

Great time

My family and I had a great time here. The pool was clean and nice. The house was clean plenty of space for all of us. Sitting on the back porch at night just hanging out was wonderful. We went to key west, the turtle hospital and curry hammock state park all with in a short car ride. We had a great time here

Quiet, inexpensive and enjoyable stay. Location was great!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Price was great given we booked last minute and over the Memorial Day weekend. House is a little outdated, but it was clean and suited our needs. Owner responded quickly when contacted. Boat slip was perfect for our 28' boat. House is in a perfect location. Easy to get to anywhere needed on Marathon. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice location. Home is in need of many repairs and updating. The overall condition was very disappointing. If you stay there plan to bring your own towels and extra TP. The HVAC worked great. It was the one saving grace during our stay.

Comfortable house with nice shaded pool

This was a cute comfortable house with a very nice pool area shaded by Palm trees. However the house is very dated and needs a facelift throughout. Some of the floors had sand or grit, the tub barely drained, there was water coming up through the floor tile in the 2nd bedroom. The yard area was pretty but had palm debris scattered around. There is a nice large lanai, but with rust and corrosion in many areas. However it was comfortable and reasonably priced as so many of these are "better" but way overpriced

Christmas in the keys

House needs a lot of work to be rent ready. Bathrooms are awful, dirt, mold, plugged drains. Entire house needs a deep clean, it looks ok when you walk in but if you look around it's dirty. Pool was great, yard needs cleaned up, but was great. Dock needs lights.overall it's not rent ready. I've never stayed in such a dirty place, do you have rules about cleaning between guest? Loved your neighborhood.

I would never rent this place again. This place needs a lot of work. In the one bathroom shower door fell off while trying to close to take a shower. Second bathroom water shooting out of the bathtub nozzle while taking a shower. Found roaches in the kitchen area had to use bug spray. Needs totally new screens on back porch. Pool was the only nice thing about the place. Sliding glass door lock was broken. Just terrible will never stay here again.

Overall, the stay was okay. The house accommodated my family just fine. We were very very disappointed in the pool. A pool is one of the main reasons you rent a house in the Keys, and the day we arrived noticed a lot of black algae all over the bottom. The kids didn't mind, but the adults really wouldn't even get in. Then on Thursday morning, we woke up to a green pool. The owner did have the pool company come and shock it, but that meant we couldn't swim for a day. It was still green when we left Saturday morning. I could have really overlook anything else had the pool been in better condition.

This property needs work. Looks like the landscaper hasnā€™t been there in a while everything is over grown. Went to turn on the shower in the bathroom and rusty water came out. It could use a good cleaning and painted there are garbage cans everywhere out side along with empty gal jugs. You canā€™t lock the house up there are keys but the sliding glass door does not lock the storm door was falling off the hinge's. The dishwasher needs to be reinstalled. I would not rent this property again.

The house is in a great location. The back yard is nice and shaded however the front yard is very overgrown . Is pool was a nice added extra and we enjoyed it after being on the boat all day. Large screened in porch was nice to sit on however it is extremely hot this time of year and there were 2 outside floor fans but they did not work. The house could definitely use some updating ! The kitchen appeared ok upon arrival however there were roaches everywhere!!! Spray was located in a cabinet so we used that but they remained a nuisance. Roaches were seen crawling in the dishwasher , on the stove, cabinets and counter tops. The home definitely needs sprayed professionally, it was pretty disturbing.

Yes, it's too good to be true!

1st, ask yourself why there are no reviews since 2011?? Then wave your big red flag and look for another place! We still have the emails of correspondence with the owner to show the poor communication. Some of our issues wereā€¦ā€¦ broken bed in one of the bedrooms, lights didn't work on back porch and it was pitch black at night so no outside sitting by the dock or pool. Both of these things were brought to her attention the first few days of our stay and were not fixed for us.(we have the email she sent back if you'd like to see it) (she said it was probably a breaker and will look at it when we leaveā€¦..the breaker is locked up so we couldn't check it ourselves) Grill grates were so rusty that we couldn't use the grill.(we have a pic of it) We were told a week after we got back that she was taking $150 out of our account to fix a piece of trim we pulled down with our boat trailer AND because the figures in the signed contract weren't figured right. The repair was a few screws to put the trim back up. ($25 on the highest end!) So she refigured the contract with different figures (which we still didn't get a copy of) and took the $150. At this point we cut our losses, told her to keep it and choose not to even correspond with her anymore about it. She answers emails with 1 liners and doesn't fully explain anything. We stay in Key Colony Beach every year and wanted to try a place that had a closer pool for my sick wife to get to easier. I'd rather carry her on my back to the pool at KCB than to put her thru the kind of service we got here. We have NEVER left a negative review before in all the years we have been to the keys but felt the public should know the truth because what they did is WRONG. I don't know if the owners can delete these reviews which makes you wonder why there are no reviews since 2011. Run away nowā€¦ā€¦

Outdoor Space

Since Iā€™m from Minnesota, our family spent almost all of our time outside. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and screened in porch. It was great to be able to grill the fish the guys caught and eat them outside. Had a couple of manatees come for a visit in the canal.
