Welcome to The Blue Oasis, a cozy beach vacation getaway located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, NC. We are proud to offer:

* non-smoking, pet-free cottage
* 5 min. walk to the beach
* close to Nags Head and all the favorite attractions
* 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (sleeps 10)
* ground floor entrance with 2 queen beds and 1 full bathroom downstairs
* 1 queen bedroom and 1 kids' room with pyramid bunk and extra twin bed, and 1 full bathroom upstairs
* fully stocked kitchen

Lots of extra amenities including:
* hot tub
* fenced-in private backyard
* cowboy children's pool 9' in diameter, 28" to water line
* fire pit
* Blackstone propane griddle
* outdoor sectional sofa with shade canopy

**Due to the serious allergies of some of our most frequent guests, we do not allow any animals at our property.
**PLEASE NOTE: The guest making the reservation must be at least 25 years old and must be among the group staying at The Blue Oasis.This cottage is for non-smokers only, both inside as well as outside on our property, due to the severe allergies of owners as well as frequent guests. No work crews are allowed to rent this property. $500 security deposit hold is required upon booking. Please read entire listing and all additional rules before making a reservation.

We enjoyed our stay

Place was clean, check in process was smooth, and backyard with a fire pit was a nice feature. I'd recommend this as an option for someone staying in the area.

Great place for summer with family.

Our family enjoyed this place in Outer Banks. The localization is great, walking distance from the beach. Lauralee was a great host, she is always accessible.

This cottage was perfect for my family’s 5 night stay. Very clean, great location and outdoor space, plus an easy walk to the beach. Cottage was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and we especially loved having the beach cart and chairs to take to the beach. Lauralee provided lots of helpful info, great recommendations, and we didn’t have any problems at all during our stay. We had a great vacation and would definitely stay here again!

Blue Oasis is a wonderful place to stay. Check in was easy and owners are wonderful. They are very helpful. The kitchen is setup with everything you would need to prepare your meals. I booked the stay for friends/family members and they loved everything about it! The home is so nice and clean, and the proximity to the beach is amazing. There's also a ton to do area. A special thanks to the hosts, who were incredibly caring and attentive!

OBX Vacation

Blue Oasis was as advertised - a clean and cute house close to the beach and other activities. We enjoyed our brief stay in the OBX area. Often proximity to beaches bring noise yet this neighborhood was great. Thankful to Lauralee for making this a relaxing and activity-filled stay for us.

Oasis away from home

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. It did not disappoint. The Blue Oasis was a home away from home with everything we could possibly need. The walk to the beach was easy and also a short walk to many great restaurants and attractions. It was the perfect way to spend our Independence Day.

Charming beach home

I can not express how much we enjoyed our stay! The house is absolutely perfect! The owners have thought of everything, from cooking, playing, relaxing and enjoying the beach! It was a much needed getaway and we would book again in a heartbeat!!

Great location

House had everything we needed. Great location for dining, beach access and plenty of space for family activities. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook and the backyard pool keeps the kids entertained after a long day at the beach. Highly recommend this house.

The blue oasis was the perfect getaway for my family to enjoy the beach for a week. We loved all the amenities from the hot tub to the proximity to the beach and shopping. We have raved about our experience to friends and family. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy cottage. Each bedroom had comfortable beds and beautiful decor. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The kitchen has all the cooking items you may need. The cottage is just a short walk to the beach, and you can also relax in the hot tub out back. There is a Target within walking distance as well if you forget anything. Everything about this place is perfect. We would definitely stay here again. We were lucky to have found it!

A gem of a find! Everything was as listed. Hot tub was perfect. There was an abundance of board and card games for all ages. Beach backpack chairs were awesome and easy to carry on the short walk to the beach. Loved the proximity to Target. Close to local restaurants. We ordered dinner from Millers and the Kill Devil Grill - both excellent. The N64 was such a nostalgic addition. My daughter loved the snowboarding game! The upstairs living area was perfect for relaxing. Loved the way the TV was mounted in the upstairs bedroom, so cool!! This house literally had everything. From kitchen appliances to kids cutlery to soccer balls and makeup remover Turkish towels. We will DEFINITELY be back to The Blue Oasis! Thank you Lauralee and family for hosting us. We especially love that you were able to accommodate an early check in for us. We are so grateful! Highly recommend!!

Wonderful rental with amazing backyard!

This rental was perfect for our girls getaway, the Hardings have put so much time and thought into providing a home away from home. The layout of the house is perfect and is much more spacious than the pictures show. I loved the cozy backyard, the decor, very quiet area, and of course the beach. Can't wait to go back 🌴🌺

My family and I spent a week at the property and had a great time! The kiddie pool was a huge hit for my grandson! The house was located close to so many things, Target, WaWa, Awful Arthur’s! Short walk to the beach and great amenities! Would definitely stay here again! Also, I forgot a load of laundry in the dryer, the owners are sending my clothes bag via the mail. Great customer service and a great property!

Perfect vacation

The walk to the beach was quick 3 to 5 min walk, there's stores and restaurants to walk to close by. The pier was so cool and you can walk right to that also. I will try to stay here again plenty of room. Bigger in person in the pictures

Nice amenities.

Coffee and snacks available for our use. Nice to have linens and extras supplied. Location is close to the beach yet away from the traffic. Kids games and book good to have on hand. Enjoyable stay.

The Blue Oasis is owned by Dennis & Lauralee, who have 4 beautiful children. We are entrepreneurs from northern Virginia, who have businesses in real estate investing, home building , HVAC contracting, and short term vacation rentals. We also homeschool our children and enjoy traveling and spending lots of time outdoors.

We purchased this home only partially finished in 2012, renovated it, and opened it to guests in 2013. We love this home because of its close proximity to the beach and its location on a quiet street, in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood. We have been bringing our family here for multiple yearly trips since our children were born. They have grown up making memories in this house, and it is really important to us to help other families make special memories here as well. We have all fallen head over heels for the Outer Banks area. One reason we chose this house was because of the location to all the OBX has to offer. We are not only within walking distance to the beach but also close to shopping, many restaurants, and popular sightseeing destinations. It is in a quiet neighborhood where we feel safe and secure with our family. Having this home has given us a unique opportunity to practice hospitality and have a wonderful, cozy, smoke-free vacation getaway for our family and friends, year after year.

This cozy cottage is unique because it is on the ground level with no step access. The downstairs sleeps 4 and is completely equipped with everything you need with no stairs required. We offer a really awesome, fenced-in, spacious backyard entertainment space, complete with a hot tub, an outdoor sectional sofa, a Blackstone Culinary Griddle, picnic table, above-ground, fenced-in children's pool (9' in diameter and 28" tall at water line), fire pit, hammock, swing, clothesline, a shed with yard and beach equipment, and an outdoor shower stall.
