Nestled in a private resort and overlooking an expanse of ocean and sky, you will find a retreat from the hectic life, appreciation for the earth’s beauty, deep rest and re-invigoration in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

This welcoming mediterranean-style villa exudes simple yet sophisticated elegance with comfort and functionality equal to its beauty and charm. Whether dining on one of the exquisite terraces, reclining by the pool, or cuddling up by the fireplace, you will be perfectly at home.

Available all year, this extremely spacious villa has 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (sleep 8/9 adults and 2/3 kids). The house is equipped w/ modern appliances in the kitchen, large screen HD TV in the family and playroom, wireless internet access, air conditioning, floor-heating in all bathrooms, outdoor bar-b-q and 2 covered parking spaces. The property has over 420 square meters (~4500 sq. feet) of living space and is located in a private resort which includes its own friendly maid service (optional), maintenance(regular hours), and security staff (24x7).

Guests also have access to two common area pools, tennis court, spa, and work-out facility on site. Nearby, guests can also find equestrian entertainment, fine dining, and world-class shopping.

If it's available, book this one!

It couldn't be better: location, comfort, accommodations, cleanliness, incredible sunset view, nearby restaurants, fantastic helpful owner. This one has it all. We traveled from Texas and invited 3 other couples to join us; everyone loved this home. I hope it's available when we come again. If you're looking for the perfect place that is even better than the pictures, this is it.

Awesome Home, Excellent Location

The home was very spacious and described very well. Carlos was very informative and easy to communicate with for any question. He provided us with an extensive list of Restaurants, tourist sights etc which was incredibly helpful. We had a fabulous time and wish we could have stayed longer.

Tarantula, scorpion, filth and more but his kindness wants to refund 20% of the rental cost.

Beautiful location with a very sensitive owner. He is more concerned with his feelings over the cleanliness and safety of guests. Gas leak, live tarantula, scorpion and other crawlers along with bathroom with someone’s hair and dirt. We spent four hours cleaning the house and then had to wash every dish, utensil, glass we used and cleaned the refrigerator. However, he spent a lot of time and emails prior to traveling to inform us of where things are and what to do. All facts!

Beautiful house with amazing views

We had a wonderful time at the house. Carlos (the owner) even called us from California to make sure we were settling in nicely. He gave us lots of suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. The house, unlike lots of rentals we have stayed in, feels like a home, beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and beautiful paintings on the walls. We especially enjoyed watching the sunsets from the spacious balcony looking out over a stunning view of the water. The house is in a great location, a 5 minute drive to the beach or a 15 minute walk, and about 15 minutes from the centre of Punta Del Este. If in the area again we would definitely stay here again Michael

Perfect

Spacious, beautiful home, in a gorgeous setting, with breathtaking views, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. Great pool and terraces. Hard to leave! Located in a safe and pleasant area of Punta Ballena, very close to famous Casapueblo, with quick access to a beautiful beach, and only a short and interesting drive along the coast to Punta del Este's amenities. Loved it.

What a beatiful home and setting. We had 7 adults very comfortably enjoy the property. Gorgeous mainlevel patio and outside dining. All of the amenities one needs including wifi, TV, BBQ, pool, daily maid service, beach chairs and towels,and a fabulous home cooked meal from a local cook. The owner was quite responsive and very helpful with planning, suggestions, etc. The property and Punta Del Este are a must-experience! Helps to know some espanol!

You will love it!

We enjoyed this wonderful and beautiful large villa-We were 7 adults and we had plenty of space. The BarBQ and outside area is fantastic for dinner and drinks. The sunsets are also unforgettable. Excellent service and I highly recommend.

Estive na casa do Sr. Carlos Ramon no carnaval com minha família e amigos e ficamos impressionados e apaixonados por cada pedacinho da casa. Deixo meu depoimento aqui com o maior prazer pois passei momentos maravilhosos com meus familiares. Inicialmente, por se tratar de um contrato realizado pela internet, tive receio por não ter contato direto com o proprietário, apenas contato por e-mail, mas o Sr. Carlos é uma pessoa extremamente gentil, paciente, solícita e super atenciosa, pensou em cada detalhe para agradar os seus visitantes e deixá-los seguros quanto a locação da casa. No contrato que o mesmo envia aos clientes já se percebe todo o nível de atenção que tem para com os contratantes, desde de deixar todos os itens que a casa possui bem descriminados a ter o cuidado em dar dicas turísticas da região, como bons restaurantes e locais a serem visitados. Sobre a casa, ela é bem mais do que está nas fotos, a decoração é aconchegante e a casa possui várias amenidades. A vista da casa é sensacional, a villa foi construída sobre rochas em um local privilegiado, e o pôr-do-sol é o maior destaque, e este era o momento imperdível do dia. Os quartos são amplos e completos, quando chegamos estava tudo preparado, com toalhas no banheiro, roupas de camas e até flores na sala. Todos os dias iam 02 camareiras fazer a limpeza da casa. A cozinha é perfeita, possui diversos os acessórios e muito mais. Está a disposição uma maravilhosa cafeteira, muitas opções de copos, taças, talheres, pratos, panelas, acessórios diversos para cozinha, inúmeros eletrodomésticos que são muito úteis. A casa ainda conta com uma sala ampla de estar com lareira, uma sala linda de jantar com vista para o Rio da Prata, uma parrillera com uma mesa de apoio para jantar na área externa, uma piscina, cadeiras de sol, bicicleta, entre outros. Um item muito importante hoje em dia é a segurança e por se tratar de um complexo, você tem segurança 24h. O complexo em si conta com uma quadra de tênis, uma piscina grande, acesso a uma praia particular e uma pequena academia. Resumindo, passei uma estadia maravilhosa e inesquecível e com toda a certeza voltarei a casa do Sr. Carlos e recomendo a qualquer pessoa que deseje conhecer Punta Del Este.

Amazing Villa with Every Amenity and Unbeatable Views

This villa exceeded our expectations! It is beautifully decorated with every amenity possible. The views from every terrace and window are simply gorgeous. We stayed here during a trip from the US to Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, and the villa and Punta del Este were our favorites. The owner is fantastic to work with - so responsive and extremely helpful with recommendations for dining and other things to do and see in Punta del Este. He arranged for a chef to cook for us one night as well. We will definitely be back!

Unforgettable family vacation

We were lucky to find the posting of this property, and were even more lucky to book it. The owner was very open, honest, and responsive while we were deciding if we were going to book it. Upon arrival, we found that the pictures did not do the interior of the property justice, as it was much more elegant and spacious that we thought it was going to be. There was plenty of space for our group (two families - 11 people), and it was close enough to everything we needed. We spent four days in Punta del Este and can not imagine finding a better place to have spent our vacation.

Our stay in Punta Ballena was "heavenly" words cannot explain this dream, unforgettable memories...

When we arrived at Punta Ballena only 2 hours drive from Montevideo we were speechless, Talk about WOW factor as a destination but more important Carlos attention to detail and helpfulness with tips on how to arrive at this gorgeous Ocean Front Mediterranean Villa. This was everything and more than I expected as I was looking for a special place for my family to enjoy in Uruguay. Carlos also was very helpful and kind in ensuring this trip we would remember for the rest of our lives. We also enjoyed a special dinner at http://www.cumbres.com.uy/ which was also a highlight of our trip. The views from the terrace and the Villa are incredible, the sunsets are speechless and we certainly enjoyed a glass of wine or two with every spectacular sunset at Punta Ballena. There is a small supermarkets about 3km away from the house my suggestion is to stock up on day 1 and then stay and enjoy the amazing serenity of this Villa, the pool was delightful with fantastic personal touches around the Villa that just shows that Carlos and his family has put great thought and details to perfection and enjoyment of their guest at their amazing Villa. Unfortunately we did not stay long enough and for next time I would stay 7-10 nights to maximize and fully enjoy the relaxation and tranquility of this paradise. My family and I are still talking about this holiday and we are certainly looking forward to returning in the very near future. For an Uruguayan born living in Sydney Australia this was the highlight of our trip and we will certainly recommend this heavenly place to anyone wanting to visit Latin America, I have travelled to many parts of the world and this is certainly topped the list of best holiday ever!!! Thank you Carlos and Punta Ballena......

Merveilleuse maison de vacances - Maravillosa casa de vacaciones

Maison merveilleuse et comode, 5 chambres avec 5 salles de bain, terrace et vue incroyables, parrilla pour le barbecue, piscine, jardin et les installations du complexe: tennis, piscine, plage de pierre, gymnase. Le rêve! Casa maravillosa y comodisima. 5 habitaciones con 5 banos, terraza y vista imperdibles, parrilla para el asado, piscina, jardin et tambien las instalaciones del complejo marina del este: piscina mas grande, gimnasio, cancha de tenis. Un sueno hecho realidad. Y la amabilidad de los propietarios . Et en plus toute la gentillèse et l'aide des propriétaires!

MOST AMAZING LOCATION WITH GORGEOUS SUNSETS!!!!

The house is everything we expected and more!!! The view is breathtaking and the sunsets were amazing. The porche is cozy and inviting to sit and relaxed. We felt at home from the very beggining. All the pictures show the house beautiful, as that is what we found! The house is fully equipted, you need to bring nothing but your belongings. There is a small supermarket close by to get all your groceries, and we also enjoyed the parrilla a couple of times. Carlos was really friendly and helpful and we came back renewed. It is close to Punta to go and spend time in all the great beaches. The maids were an added bonus so you can focus on your vacation instead of cleaning!!!!! We will for sure go back, we had a great time!!

Incredible vacation!

Words cannot describe how incredibly beautiful this setting is and how comfortable (and beautiful!) the house is. This is a GREAT house for family vacation time - a great location away from the crowds in Punta del Este, but close enough for dining out and going shopping and enjoying the night life. The grounds and amenities are spectacular - pools, playground, gym, wifi on the terrace, private pool and wonderful view. The home is clean and well maintained with a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor parilla. We enjoyed purchasing fresh fish in town and grilling outside. There is a small grocery store close by so it saves having to go in to town. Casapueblo museum, restaurant and hotel is located walking distance from the home (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casapueblo), La Pataia (http://www.lapataiapuntadeleste.com/) is a great family outing with dulce de leche pancakes and a petting zoo for the kids. We love going to the two accessible and super clean beaches that you can see from the outdoor patio of the house. We love that the neighbors are friendly, but quiet! The house is truly an oasis - I would highly recommend it - and would love to go back!

An unforgettable time at the most wonderful sunset in the world

We have spent a great time at this property. Location is more than perfect, right in front of a daily spectacle - the most beautiful sunset I´ve ever seen. It´s very well located, a few minutes from Punta Del Este downtown, and closer to Punta Ballena. Very spacious, comfortable, cozy, fully equipped and part of a well kept condominium facility. It´s becoming part of our annual vacations! Highly recommended!!

We are a very international family with three young kids. We have lived in Brazil, Chile and France, Palo Alto (Silicon Valley), California, and we currently live in Nashville, TN.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

I am a native Uruguayan, married to an American. We wanted to maintain close ties with our family in Uruguay and have a home that could fit us all under one roof.

Our home in Punta del Este has become our beautiful retreat from the fast-paced world and our 'home away from home.' Because we cannot travel there as often as we'd like to during the year, we've decided to open it up for other families to enjoy, allowing more to become familiar with this beautiful country.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We arrive to a freshly prepared home w/ clean linens immediately ready to enjoy. We always utilize the friendly maid service (for a fee) to make our stay even more comfortable and have even hired a cook to assist us.

In the mornings, we drive a few minutes to the local bakery for freshly baked biscochos and the daily news and return home to enjoy our breakfast while gazing out over the bay and ocean. My wife works out in the gym before we head to the beach by walking down to the solarium and wading through the water.

While at the beach the family enjoys walking, reading, playing soccer, and swimming, but we usually end the day with a quick dip in our own private pool, counting all the yachts that have docked in the bay. Around dusk, we gather on the upper patio to applaud the sunset before dinner, which is often an asado (grill) of meats or fish.

The trip would not be complete without a trip to La Pataia, a small dairy farm (15 minute drive) complete with a petting zoo, horse back riding, and an outdoor cafe for a pancake of dulce de leche and cafe con leche. The kids adore this. WE also often hire a tennis coach for the kids and enroll them in equestrian classes.

We have our favorite restaurants in Punta del Este (10 minute drive), Lo de Terre and L'Aubere, for fine dining and many pizzerias or local fresh seafood restaurants for more casual meals with the entire family. Afterwards we stroll downtown, window shopping, and finish the evening at the favorite ice cream store Freddo's where most of us choose a generous scoop of dulce de leche granizado flavored gelatto. You can find families strolling the beach walk until 1:00 in the morning, but we are usually in bed by then.
