House Tour:
Guests have access to the whole house, excluding 1 bedroom downstairs and all bedroom closets. No worries, there is an ample amount of dresser space for storage in every space. Walking in, you will be welcomed by an open space introducing you to the kitchen, living area, and dining room. Enjoy the amazing surround sound, turn on the fireplace, or make yourself welcome to the abundant options of games. Along the hallway is the guest bathroom, 1 bedroom, and the laundry room towards the back. The bedroom includes a queen size bed with a sliding twin size bed underneath. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms that both include a queen bed and an additional twin trundle bed. The loft includes a large sleeper futon that can sleep 2. Inside the loft, enjoy a cappuccino or pop some popcorn and enjoy a great movie night with some fun LEDS. Upstairs includes the full bathroom. Returning downstairs in the coat closet is the high chair, the 5 in 1 pack and play for a baby under 20 lb including a mattress and a bassinet, and a baby bath. The backyard is a lovely oasis that has several spaces to relax and unwind. Starting off, enjoy at the firepit to sit and have great conversations, or make smores. The deck is a perfect space to listen to the tranquil waterfall, read a book, or enjoy the natural views. The pergola is large, yet intimate to enjoy an enclosed area, eat during a BBQ, or just gather with friends. Newly added is a 10x17 ft floating deck with 2 daybed outdoor tents that can be fully enclosed for a glamping experience. The outdoor movie theater makes for a memorable evening with equipment and materials taking approximately 10 minutes to set up. So, no matter the mood or the vibe, The Gallery is here to welcome you and your guests!

Art Deco stay

Everything was just as pictured and described. Jamilla anticipated my needs for the stay and created a comfortable environment. I would definitely stay again.

Great stay.

The stay at the property was great. The amenities & communication great. Had a little issue with the front door that was addressed. My only issue were all the closets were locked. We had nowhere to hang up anything. Except for a towel bar in the main bathroom I had to go by hangers. the msin bsthroom.

Hi Kiyana and thank you for your review! I apologize in advance if your experienced any issues but to be fair there are hangers in 1 of bedrooms and in the description of the listing it states that the closets are locked. There are also door hanger hooks in 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If contacted I could have easily addressed that concern. Unfortunately when I returned to the property it was completely trashed from a graduation party. It was left very untidy and none of the checkout instructions were followed. Overall the guests was communicative but the mess left behind was disappointing.

A beautiful experience in a beautiful home

Hosted my daughter graduation dinner from JWU. The space was wonderfully decorated and the host is an absolute blessings. Unfortunately I got Sick when I first Arrived in NC and had to go to the hospital, the host made sure my children and grandchildren got in the house while I dealt With my health issues. Thankfully I made It to my daughter graduation and we had a wonderful dinner and were able to mingle and entertain our guest in the beautiful yard space. I absolutely love this space and this host!

Best New Years Family potluck

This was such an amazing property and experience. I was able to host a family potluck to bring in the new year and we all enjoyed the space, and Jamilla was an amazing host. Communication was amazing and the house was spectacular. Thank you so much!

The host delayed my check in by 3.5 hrs...The host had messaged me asking to delay my arrival time to 5 pm a week or so before the event and gave me small refund for the 2 hours. The day of the rental i received a message at 4:50 from the host asking us to delay until 6 pm which I refused since we were 10 minutes from the home. The host said there are still the previous guest in the home and will only take a few minutes to leave and clean. We arrived at 5 pm to the previous guests in the home. We were forced to wait 1.5 hours for them to leave and the house to be made ready for us. I feel taken advantage of. I have lost money and time due to this.

Hi Ali and I apologize you were not satisfied with your recent booking but I would like to clarify some inaccuracies. I initially contacted you to see if you were open to checking in at 5 pm in exchange for a late checkout/credit and noted if you could not do it I completely understand. You responded very openly to the idea and we made an agreement and responded "I tried to be flexible I know how rough it can be! Yes that's fine" in our message thread. The day of i did inquire about an additional 1 hr if possible just in case your were running but I was still going to honor 5 pm if needed. To be exact with time stamps from my ring camera the guest left at 5:12 p.m. At that moment you were not restricted from access to the property. You did not enter the property until 6:12 pm. There was no 3.5 delay and you were not supposed to arrive until 5 pm as agreed and was compensated for it. I mentioned at 5:02 p.m. that the guests were heading out and will be done in the next 10 minutes and I mentioned the house will be ready right after that. It seems there was some miscommunication because you were able to enter right at 5:12 pm but you sat outside that entire time instead of just entering the home. I apologize for the confusion that day but at the most I delayed you for 12 min.

The house was a vibe and very pretty but the downside was that the house wasn't clean paying for cleaning fees and damage fees when things were already broken, sticky stuff and old food in the fridge we didn't mind cleaning it up but when you go somewhere you shouldn't have to be responsible for cleaning someone else property , the owner lack communication when needed . Overall besides me and my friends cleaning behind others i would give it at 7/10 because the house was beautiful ,nice back yard and art work , You’ll love it

Hi Blessun and sorry some things did not meet your standards. After you addressed your concerns there was no communication on your end to fix any issues. When you originally contacted me through phone, I responded within 15 minutes and did not ignore your request. I am still not aware what specifically was sticky or damaged since I never received a response. The food left in the fridge as explained previously are food items for guests to use such as condiments etc in addition to juices that were advertised for sale. I was disappointed you decided you leave my home trashed from an unauthorized event and decided to toss out all food items I use for guests. We take cleanliness and communication with our guests very seriously and it's unfortunate this reservation resulted in these events.

Charming Charlotte Home

The home was wonderful and very well decorated. I came down to Charlotte for a somber occasion but Jamilla's home was very warm and welcoming. The home was stocked with enough linens and tableware for me and my guests. The home was very spacious and the deck and outside areas made it so we all had enough room to move around without being in each other's way. Jamilla was available when needed and was a very pleasant host. We also learned that besides from being a gracious host, Jamilla is an talented artist based off the beautiful art work on the wall. The only downfall is that the microwave is upstairs but we brought it into the kitchen to avoid spills on the carpet. The tip would be if you have a large group and staying for a few days, make sure you bring extra toilet paper and paper towels. Other than that, you will love the home. One last thing, dont let the limited reviews detour you from experiencing this gorgeous home. The pictures did not disappoint at all.

If you can help it, please do not book here. Although this home is beautiful on the surface. I assure you, that is all it is. It appears that the owner of this property currently lives in the property (and you can tell). The home wreaks of pet odor which you may can get past. Unfortunately, we also encountered mice while preparing to pack up and check out. After contacting the property owner, she argued that this was possible and refused reimburse any amount. She also stated that if we did not contact her as soon as we seen it that we didn't have a point or further resolution as then, she was not responsible. I informed her of how difficult it was to run and message her at the same time. She then cut off all communication and this has yet to be resolved. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK.

Cute house, but not cleaned properly

Ultimately disappointing stay. The house was decorated in a fun way, and the host (before and during our stay) was communicative and helpful. The quality of the home is a little run down (old carpet, squeaky beds, worn out kitchen) but it was serviceable. We did encounter a mess in the entryway right upon our arrival (we believe an unfortunate oversight regarding the owner's pet) and we cleaned it up ourselves so that we could get settled. The beds upstairs are covered in plastic and were very crinkly and loud, and one of them is also quite squeaky. There was an additional cleaning oversight on the kitchen floor which we also cleaned up. The cleaning fees on this property were outrageously high, so when we contacted the owner afterward to request a partial refund she refused to take responsibility or make it right. I'm still giving 3 stars because she was lovely up until that point, and the house was fine. And it really is cute and fun. But definitely not worth the price point whatsoever, and the interaction with the owner regarding the problems we encountered led to even greater disappointment.

Hi Allison! I apologize for you were not satisfied with your experience. As mentioned previously if you had any concerns with the property, it is up to the guest to properly contact the host so that any issues can be addressed. The guests waited until after their stay to make any claims. A majority of issues could have. been fixed had I been provided the proper follow up. I was unaware of several spills mentioned because I do a thorough overview after the cleaners. The mattress protectors could have been easily removed if they had an issue with the noise. I also explained that the cleaning fee is charged by all hosts and they are responsible for properly viewing theyre total payment. I apologized they did not fully enjoy their stay and it is always our top priority make sure our guests stay is top tier. We have over 40 5-star reviews on Airbnb and are continuing to progress.

Terrible communication.

Arrived on Friday to check out the property. Set up from 10-12 on Saturday for our wedding on Saturday night 5pm. Our friends arrived at 2:30pm to drop off some supplies when they found that EVERYTHING had been taken down and the owner entered the house and took our things and placed them in a pile inside the house and outside without EVER sending us a message. They immediately called us and I asked them to knock on the front door. No asset but after a few minutes the owner stepped out to talk to me on their phone. She advised me that we had only rented for Friday and VRBO did not reserve Saturday night for us. I confirmed that this was correct to be fair to the owner. Our poor review is due to the fact that if we were to leave the property by Saturday 11am, why did she not alert us when she saw through her outdoor cameras that we were setting up until almost 12pm on Saturday and the fact that we only passed by for a little over an hour on Friday to check out the house and levees some things there for our wedding? We never used the house!!!! And then when she won’t there on Saturday, instead of touching out personals items, why weren’t we alerted to the error and advised to come immediately to pick them up? Not to mention that we are still missing two large Hexclad pots as with their lids and our Uno no mercy game? We are beside ourselves with the lack of respect of how this all ended. We accept that the error was not hers, but it become hers when she did not communicate!!

This guest completely violated my house rules and attempted to have a WEDDING at my house without my knowledge. My house rules specifically state there are NO unauthorized events without my consent and did not notify of such a huge ceremony. Upon arrival, I noticed all of the things left behind but it made no sense to me that items were still at the property after their 11 am check out. I had a reservation that day and I had to ensure the property was ready for the next guest so I politely put their things to the side just in case they reached out. It is normally not my responsibility to hold on to an enormous amount of items but I was just being kind. It is also not my fault the guests did not properly book the dates they needed. In addition I could have canceled their reservation Friday for setting up a wedding without my authorization! But once again I was being kind and let them stay the night. I took additional time out of my schedule to help them retrieve all their items out of the property Saturday and am still communicating on the pots and game they forgot to retrieve. It took hours to put away all their items and I was completely inconvenienced. I have gone above and beyond with their situation and their error in dates and offered as much support because I generally felt bad that they had to go through this on their wedding day. It's unfortunate they are placing all blame on me when I have to run a business and prepare for all guests. Every guest is important and they deserve to have the property ready upon arrival and it is unreasonable to have a still wedding set up when the next guests arrive all because you did not book know the proper dates of your wedding that was again unauthorized!

Hi my name is Millie and I'm originally from NY but my roots are here in Charlotte, NC. I enjoy being a host because it aligns with my
natural love for interior design and my 10+ years experience with catering in event spaces. From catering I've learn how to effectively stage spaces and also have customer experience as the highest priority. Im also an artist and have always been very creative, so as a host I love using my abilities to create a one of a kind experience for my guests.

The neighborhood is very cute and quirky which really spoke to my personality. Driving through, the houses are painted unique colors and the viewing of all the trees are breathtaking. In addition the area is very peaceful, quiet, and calm feeling like home.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

When viewing different properties this one in particular stood out because of its unique layout. The high ceilings immediately got my attention and I appreciated the details of the home not being cookie cutter. The backyard is a world of its own. I really enjoyed the space and how it makes you feel one with nature. The beautiful landscape of the trees really stood out for me, especially for an area like Charlotte.
