Tourmaline House: Walk to Beach & Restaurants, Fenced Yard, EV Charger, Bikes

The Tourmaline House is the charming beach getaway you've been looking for. It's a real house, lovingly landscaped, with a grassy backyard to relax in after a day of San Diego exploration. We are located in Pacific Beach, just a 1000ft (300m) walk to the beach. Walk or take one of our bikes to explore the boardwalk, bay, shops and restaurants without the need of a car.
With top-quality furnishings, an enclosed backyard retreat, and amenities like bikes, high speed internet for work and streaming, baby items and beach gear, all included – you will find privacy and retreat from the hustle and bustle when it's time to chill.

We can accommodate up to 8 guests and 2 dogs in our home. The entire house is wheelchair accessible, and we've had several handicapped guests to date. We don't have AC. Photos in the listing were taken in 2023.

Have an electric vehicle? We now offer our guests the convenience of charging at home. Just select the electricity fee when booking, and bring your own cable to use our 240volt plug in the garage.

The Master Suite is a luxurious retreat with a King size bed, two closets, smart TV and an indulgent large bathroom finished in travertine and glass tile. A dual sink vanity separates the spacious walk-in shower on the right from the enclosed toilet on the left. There is enough space in front of the bed to add a pack’n’play and easily walk around.

The Queen Bedroom is next to the Master Suite and sleeps 2 in a queen bed.
The Kid’s Bedroom sleeps 4 guests in 2 twin over twin bunk beds.
A large full bath on the hall has a real Jacuzzi. A separate area has a dual sink vanity.

Enjoy full access to a stocked kitchen, enclosed grassy backyard with propane grill, parking for 2 cars. Beach gear is included: chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, cooler plus 2 bikes, beach wagon and scooter. We also have a portable crib and a baby chair.

The house sits just 2 blocks off the beach (Tourmaline Surf Park), a 5 minute walk. This part of the beach is the north end of Pacific Beach, a local's paradise, as the tourist crowds concentrate further South.

A 3 minute walk from the house you'll find Turquoise St, with a grocery store and numerous shops and restaurants. You will also be equally close to cute cafes and restaurants on Cass St. Easily reachable on bike are the beach boardwalk and Garnet Avenue, the center of the beach nightlife.
