Crown Street is one of the most photographed and quiet lanes on Harbour Island: it is beautiful, charming and home to this special property. The architect-owner took a modern approach to the traditional Bahamian aesthetic: creating a world apart. The name of the house and its design are inspired by the street name and one of the owner’s favorite films, The Thomas Crown Affair. You’ll find fun references to this classic movie throughout the home, in addition to a collection of local contemporary art and many other unique touches.

Crown Affair comprises three main structures. The largest of the three includes a spacious entry hall, large living room with coffered ceiling, three tasteful bedrooms (1-king and 2-queens) and three modern bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have adjoining private porches. The adjacent garden building contains a new, fully-equipped kitchen, interior dining room with over-scaled rope chandelier and an additional dramatic primary king suite with tub, shower and its own dedicated sitting area and outdoor porch. All interior spaces are climate-controlled and provided with wireless internet and Sonos sound systems. These two structures open onto an enclosed tropical garden with multiple seating options and an outdoor grilling area. The third garden structure encompases a covered outdoor dining room that seats 10, and a covered outdoor living room with comfortable furniture and custom art work. In between these spaces is a wet bar and nearby cabana bathroom and enclosed outdoor shower. By ascending a stair that encircles an old mango tree, the guest arrives at a second level porch and a dedicated air-conditioned gym with bench, weights and bands. All of these spaces overlook a 40' heated lap pool with integrated sun shelf and benches and a sun lounging area. A second exterior stair leads to an additional covered sitting area with bar and outdoor dining, providing wide views of the surrounding village, marinas and harbor.

Crown Affair provides a quiet and secluded experience with the convenience of being in the heart of the historic village. Within an easy stroll of the property are boutique shops, multiple restaurant choices, and of course the world-famous beach. When not eating out, you can opt to hire a local chef or prepare meals in the well-appointed kitchen and on the outdoor charcoal grill. The house offers choices to sit at a large family dining table inside or to enjoy a candle-lit evening outdoors in the covered dining pavillion. At the house there are many places to relax: head to the upper level sundeck, outdoor dining and covered lounge for ocean breezes, relax in your own spacious garden around the pool, while away time on the shaded porches and outdoor living area.

Other amenities include daily housekeeping and garden maintenance, off-road parking for your golf cart, a gym, an outdoor shower, footbath, beach chairs and beach towels. Kayaks are also an option.
