Enjoy abundant sunshine, sand, and surf for your upcoming getaway to St. George Island! This renovated Florida-style home away from home is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach or bay and within a short drive of great attractions, including St. George Island Lighthouse, Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve Nature Center, Florida Seafood Festival Inc, Battery Park, Orman House Historic State Park, and East Slough Overlook. There is a golf cart available for an additional fee that would be ideal for exploring!

The home has spacious decks for entertaining, viewing, and enjoying the refreshing coastal breeze. Inside this air-conditioned retreat, you will discover an inviting living room with comfy seating and a TV, a well-appointed kitchen with new appliances and granite countertops, and a great dining area with beautiful views. The living room leads out to a screened porch that is also great for dining and playing cards and board games. Laundry will be a breeze with the washer/dryer on-site. The main level also enjoys two spacious bedrooms with skylights. The third bedroom and half bath can be found downstairs, separated from the main house.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Island retreat

We had a wonderful vacation. Island retreat was exactly what we anticipated. We had a small bit of confusion at checkin but this was resolved quickly by the local Vacasa staff on St George Island. Would definitely love to stay here again!!!

Cute but lots of issues

First, this is a cute house with several great features. The pics do not show the upper deck that is so awesome to watch the sunrise and sunset from. It is located on a great lot with space for kids to run around and enjoy and is close to both the beach and bay. However, the management of this property leaves MUCH to be desired. The local office front desk representative and maintenance man were so helpful, but they should not have had to expend so much time addressing our concerns, including being locked out upon arrival, not having use of the golf cart until maintenance cut the padlock (he didn't even have keys), no hot water, broken coffeemaker, no inside trash can, and no instructions for the operation of devices in the home. Again, the local office was super responsive, but I know they were tired of getting calls from me. I can overlook small things, but not being able to get in the house or take a shower was a lot to deal with after a long car ride with two small children. This house has potential to be a great rental but needs a little more attention.
