Welcome to Desert Solstice, a private one-acre Joshua Tree retreat where active days and quiet desert moments are designed to live side by side. Start the morning on the meditation deck, spend the afternoon between the pool, pickleball court, mini golf, and bocce, then slow things down as the Joshua Trees and desert sky take over the evening. Built in 2023, the home gives groups four king bedrooms, generous indoor gathering spaces, and a resort-style backyard.

THE SPACE



Desert Solstice is designed to give a group plenty to do while still preserving the calm and privacy people come to Joshua Tree for. All four bedrooms feature king-size beds. The primary bedroom and two additional junior primary bedrooms each have their own en-suite bathroom, while a fourth full bathroom serves the remaining bedroom and common areas. Two queen sofa beds provide additional sleeping space for groups of up to 12. The spacious kitchen, open living area, and dining space make it easy to gather indoors, but the one-acre setting keeps the desert present throughout the stay. Large Joshua Trees surround the property, giving the home a sense of privacy even while local restaurants, shops, and the national park remain close by.

OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE



The outdoor spaces at Desert Solstice let the day move between energy and stillness without leaving the property. Play pickleball, mini golf, or bocce with your group, cool off in the private pool, or settle into the spa when you are ready to slow down. The meditation deck offers a quieter place for stretching, coffee, or simply taking in the surrounding Joshua Trees. With an acre of space around the home, the backyard feels less like a collection of amenities and more like your own small desert resort.



GOOD TO KNOW



BBQ GRILL



Our BBQ grill runs on propane gas, which we provide, so there’s no need to bring your own.



POOL HEATING



Pool heating is available with at least 24 hours' notice and can reach up to 85°F. The fee is $180/day from May through September and $250/day from October through April. Pool and spa heating cannot operate simultaneously.



SPA



Spa use is included at no additional charge.



PETS



Up to two dogs are welcome with a $100 fee per pet, per stay. All pets must be disclosed before arrival.



PARKING



The concrete driveway accommodates up to 6 vehicles.



POOL SERVICE



Routine pool service takes place Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The technician accesses the outdoor area only.



IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW



We want every guest to enjoy Desert Solstice safely while helping us keep the home in great condition. Please review the following before booking.



PARTIES, EVENTS & VISITORS



Parties and events are not permitted. Any additional visitors must be approved by the host before arrival and must leave the property by 9:00 PM in accordance with local STR requirements. Unauthorized visitors may result in a $200 fee per person. Approved extra overnight guests are $50 per person, per night, subject to maximum occupancy.



POOL & SPA SAFETY



Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times while using or being near the pool and spa. No diving or glass is permitted in the pool area. Please use the pool and spa responsibly and at your own risk.



PETS & POOL



Pets are not permitted in the pool or spa. Guests are responsible for their pets at all times, including any damage or additional cleaning caused during the stay. For their safety around cactus and desert wildlife, pets should remain leashed and supervised while outside.



DESERT WILDLIFE



Desert Solstice is located in a natural High Desert environment. Insects, rodents, snakes, spiders, and other wildlife may occasionally be encountered. Please keep doors closed when possible and remain aware of your surroundings. Encounters with wildlife or insects that are part of the natural desert environment are not grounds for a refund.



PLUMBING & SEPTIC SYSTEM



Desert Solstice uses a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Improper use resulting in clogged or damaged plumbing may result in a $200 repair fee.



NO SMOKING



Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted inside the property or within 15 feet of exterior doors. Failure to follow this policy may result in a $100 additional cleaning fee.



SECURITY CAMERAS



In accordance with insurance company requirements, exterior security cameras monitor the front and rear entrance areas for guest and property safety. All security cameras are located outside the property. There are no cameras inside the home. Cameras may not be tampered with, covered, or disabled during your stay.



PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE



Personal photos and videos are welcome, and you're welcome to tag @visithideaway. Professional, promotional, commercial, or revenue-generating photography and filming require prior written approval and may be subject to production fees. Unauthorized commercial shoots may result in a $5,000 violation fee plus applicable production fees of up to $575/hour. If you're unsure whether your shoot qualifies as commercial use, please contact us before booking.



LATE CHECK-OUT



Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Guests who remain at the property after 11:05 AM will be charged a $75 late check-out fee for every 30 minutes past the check-out time.



DAMAGES



Accidents happen. If anything is damaged, broken, or seriously stained during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so our team can assist. Guests are responsible for damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow property guidelines.



Guest Access:

You'll have private access to the entire home and its guest amenities during your stay. The property uses a smart lock. Your access code will be provided before arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Desert Solstice is located in Joshua Tree, with Joshua Tree National Park, restaurants, and shops approximately a short 3-minute drive away according to the property's existing listing. That proximity makes it easy to explore the area without giving up the quiet, private feeling of the property.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring the High Desert.
