My love for Baja Sur started with a handful of friends on dirt bikes, exploring the Sierra Madre mountains and towns along the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, with an inspiring couple who had made Baja their home and opened it up for travelers and dirt bike enthusiasts like us. I was amazed by the beauty of this region, the incredibly fresh food, vibrant culture, and rawness of Mexico that exists just 20 minutes from Cabo in either direction.
So, in February 2021, I quit my corporate job in the Bay Area and Vanessa convinced her boss that she could do her job just as well from anywhere. We decided to do an exploratory trip for the month of March and told my parents about our plans. With curiosity and an open mind, we started looking for property that could work as a family complex– a place for our family and friends to visit, and where we could host people who would appreciate the uniqueness of this area of Baja with us. We loved the Pescadero-Cerritos area, but after only a year could already see how quickly the area was developing. We wanted to be close to the magic this area has to offer, while also being away from it all. We were so fortunate to find exactly what we were looking for, just a few miles south of Cerritos, near a little village called Ellias Calles. This was the birth of Lejos De Todo.
Our desire is to welcome you to a family-run guesthouse that feels like home to you and your family and to your friends who are chosen family. We offer connection with fellow travelers or seclusion and intimacy for your group, whichever you choose. Either way, you’ll be getting away from city noise and beach vendors and will be immersed in the sound of the ocean and the majestic sunsets of Baja Sur.
