This cozy pet friendly cottage lets you catch fish right from your own doorstep! It is a quaint cottage with a nice size bedroom with a king size bed. The kitchen is well stocked and has a full-size refrigerator, stove and microwave. The living room has a beautiful waterfront view. The Tiki bar in the photos is your space as well (there is a door into another unit opening into the Tiki bar for access only).
There are 2 kayaks on a rack in your garden for you to use.
You can catch your own bait: pinfish, crabs or mullet. You are likely to see dolphins and manatees from your living room. There's a screened-in bar area with comfortable chairs to nod off in. You are minutes by boat or car to the Homosassa Wildlife Park.

There are many fine restaurants in the Homosassa and Crystal River area for your enjoyment of our Florida Southern cooking.

If you would like an IMMACULATE quiet place for great fishing or just as a place to nod your head give us a call. I believe this could be the place for you at an affordable rate. If you are looking for a place to entertain your friends while staying at the Rod'n'Nod, we would suggest that you kindly look elsewhere. The cottage is perfect for a couple. It is not suitable for additional overnight guests.

You are welcome to bring your own boat and dock right outside. The Florida record tarpon was caught just a mile or so from the cottage.There are two kayaks ready to go and a charcoal grill free of charge

This was the perfect little stay. We loved that it was right on the water and we could just sit and relax right on the canal. Rhe screened in ā€œTikiā€ area was so cute. The location was perfect, as it was near everything we wanted to do. And it was walkable to the best restaurant we tried in the area, Margueritaā€™s. We were so close to Blue Haven who took us out to swim with manatees!Iā€™ve already recommended to friends and we will be back for sure!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Location was perfect and the place was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfy too. I had the pleasure of meet the host and family who were utterly lovely. I launched my SUP off the deck each day easily. There was plenty of parking space and good wifi too. I would definitely stay here again.

This vacation cottage was so quaintly decorated and comfortable! We brought our small pontoon and tided it up at the dock right at the house. We used a local marina to put our boat in and drove the boat to the house. Lovely small yard that is fenced in for our small dog. The king size bed was very comfortable and we were very happy to see that they had a Keurig coffee maker available for our morning coffee. We would definitely stay there again!

Weekend Get Away

We had a fantastic weekend stay at this cozy VRBO in Homosassa, Florida! The property was exactly as describedā€”clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing getaway. The location was ideal, close to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful enough to really unwind.What really made the stay stand out were the hostsā€”they were absolutely wonderful! Friendly, responsive, and thoughtful, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home.Whether youā€™re visiting for the springs, the manatees, or just to recharge, this spot is a gem. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Another great week at this quaint establishment. Well stocked, clean,comfy bed and the sheets and towel smell so good. Scallops plentiful this year. Took the tandem kayak to Hunters Springs park n kayaked to Three sisters Spring. Had a epic stay. Thank you

Fabulous Location

If you love water, there is no better location than this one. I grew up on a houseboat and this is like that but without the gentle rocking. Kayaks were available so I could launch right off the porch. Itā€™s only a 30 minute paddle to Homosassa Springs. The wildlife that visits is great to watch. The cabin is very sweet. It has a comforting feel to it and had everything I needed in the kitchen, linens, bathroom. The only snag I had was with the tv. Several times I had to go through the setup again in the morning, then it was good for the rest of the day. The owner already had the password entered so it wasnā€™t that big of a deal. The screened porch/tiki area is a very nice area to relax in. It is a commons area for both renters. My renting neighbors in the adjoined house were delightful. In a nutshell, Iā€™m coming back!

First Florida trip

We traveled to Homosassa so I could check off my #1 bucket list item-swimming with the manatees. This nice little cottage was in the perfect location for all we wanted to do. Relaxing mornings sitting by the water and evenings ending the same way. Close to excellent dining options, beautiful drives, and a nice quiet neighborhood. The homeowner was very responsive when we had any questions. Highly recommended this property if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay.

Not what we thought it would be

upon arrival could not find the key & was frustrated in having to contact owner. Thought the owner would contact us before arrival which would have been a thoughtful thing to do since we had expressed it was our 50th anniversary weekend get away. But we know that everything is about the money so we live & learn so won't be back.

Absolutely a TEN! Even on a busy holiday weekend the neighborhood was quiet and restful. Great location. One morning a manatee surfaced directly in front of the cottage.

Everything you need is right here. I was impressed by our accomodatiins. Fully stocked with linens,keurig,and even games. Big yahtzee fans,brought iur own only to discover there was one there. Restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to the gulf. Very clean and the people in Homosassa are truly top shelf. Well be back. Thank you for being so accomodating to extend our stay.

Wonderful place!!

This is the most adorable, clean place! Perfectly decorated to make it a homey water property. Every detail for things you may need these owners have thought of down to the cutest starfish and crab hair clips :) The owners communicated quickly and were so helpful. We will be back!

Had to share properties and too small

The property was too small and having to share boat dock with other tenant. The cottage was very small for 3 persons. Unlikely to rent this place again unfortunately.

Cute and quiet

This was a nice little place and we did enjoy our visit but we didnā€™t know we would be sharing a common area in between another rental home. Thankfully the people were very nice and we had no issues but still it wasnā€™t disclosed in the rental advertising. At times it was a bit weird and a little awkward but all in al it was a nice vacation and will probably go back to the homosassa area.
