Tranquil Lakeside Retreat

The description of this property is impressive. So, it is even more impressive that the two-bedroom unit -- and its amazing lakeside location -- actually exceeds the description and expectations. My wife and I spent an extended stay here recently, and we could not have been more comfortable or pleased. An amazing view of Lake Howell greets you when you walk through the door. That view only improves from the private back patio, the comfortable living room and the master bedroom upstairs, with an outside deck. The large lake is stunning and filled with fish and wildlife, including fascinating birds easily within your camera's view out the cypress-draped back patio or dock. This is picturesque old Florida. In the living room, you'll immediately relax on the plush recliner sofas, in front of a flat-screen, cable-equipped TV with surround sound and an impressive DVD library. This town home has everything you will need, including a full dining table. The kitchen is ultra clean, modern and fully stocked with plates, glasses, cookware, etc. -- even a Keurig coffeemaker. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are, again, very clean and ultra quiet for a good night of sleep. Each are also equipped with flat-screen TVs with cable. The wifi works great throughout. The location of this property is convenient. A wide choice of excellent restaurants are nearby, several within walking distance. There are also several supermarkets and retail shops nearby. Downtown Winter Park is a short drive, and the tourist attractions are only 30-45 minutes away. Jim, the owner/manager of the property, is personable, easily accessible, and took extra steps to make the accommodations most welcoming when we arrived. He is ultra-responsive to questions or issues, of which we had almost none. He is also a wealth of information about the lake and the surrounding area, including some excellent restaurant recommendations. That's why he's know locally as "Mr. Lake Howell." I highly recommend this property, and my wife and I would stay there again -- or at any other property that Jim manages. Simply put, our experience at this Lake Howell retreat was outstanding!

Our stay on Lake Howell - 348 Georgetown Drive, Casselberry, Florida

My wife, Nancy, and I stayed at Lake Howell Arms in Casselberry, Florida, from February 1st until March 31st 2019. To make a long story short, it was a great stay. We were blessed to find 348 Georgetown Drive because it is directly across the lake from where Nancy's sister and family live, in Sausalito Shores. We were so close that we could see their boat dock from our back patio. The location couldn't have been better. The townhouse was spacious and was large enough with the second bedroom and bath that we were able to have a number of our relatives and our children and grandchildren visit us. The weather was very warm and very dry, which for us coming from the Southern Tier of New York, was very enjoyable. Mr. Travis was gracious enough to allow us to use his pontoon boat. We took advantage of his generosity numerous times during our stay. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked 348 Georgetown Drive for February and March 2020. We are looking forward to it !!!

Wonderful Townhome on Beautiful Lake Powell

This unit is a spacious two bedroom townhouse located on Lake Powell. It is very clean and nicely decorated, it felt like home. It was very relaxing to sit on the back patio and enjoy the lake, which is only 25 ft. away. It is located near several grocery stores and a shopping mall. Jim Travis is the owner and is very accommodating. I have rented from him on three separate occasions. He is always available and will handle any request quickly.

Wonderful Condo on Lake Howell

This condo was absolutely wonderful for my visit to the Orlando area. The pictures are absolutely accurate. The lake view was wonderful. It is pretty at night, too. You often see the moon rising through the cypress trees. The unit was very clean and well appointed. The few questions I had were handled quickly. I received a call or text back with an answer almost immediately. There are numerous stores(Publix, Walmart, etc.) within minutes of the property. There are numerous restaurants nearly. You can dine at Panera's, eat at Tijuana Flats, or take a 10 minutes ride into Winter park and eat at one of the many fine restaurants on Park Ave. It is about a 30 minute drive to Disney or Universal. I have already recommended this place to several friends. You will enjoy you stay here.

Upscale unit

We were very pleased with how this condo. The pictures are accurate. The living room furniture was very comfortable with built in recliners. Jim was easy to work with. We loved watching the sunrise each morning over the lake. As avid walkers, we found several nearby lakes with walking paths on the water: Crane's Roost, Baldwin, Sybelia, and the Kraft Azalea Garden on Lake Maitland. We also enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Winterpark.

Beautiful Condo, PERFECT for our needs!!

We recently stayed in this lovely unit. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. The view is spectacular, the beds are comfortable, the pool is huge. I could go on and on. The property manager is absolutely amazing. He met us when we arrived. He showed us all around and gave us wonderful tips on places to visit and places to eat. We just had an overall perfect stay. From the beds, the patio, and the beach chairs, it couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you for an amazing stay and we look forward to returning next year.

Nice, spacious condo that suited our needs well

We rented the condo in Casselberry, FL for the month of May to visit relatives in the area and attend our grandson's high school graduation. It is a nice, spacious, well-kept unit that faces a good-sized lake. We did not do any boating or other water sports, but we were able to watch and photograph a good number of birds.' When we had a minor problem with the toilet, it was repaired the next day, with no hassle. We also needed to extend our stay by 9 days and that was accommodated gracefully. The only negative we had was with the noise of the air conditioning blower. It seemed to blow much harder than should have been necessary and was loud enough that we had to turn up the TV volume when it came on. Thanks for a good stay!

Peaceful Vacation Retreat

We really enjoyed our month in Jim's lakefront home. We were able to cook our own meals which is something we prefer, although we had some great restaurant meals in nearby Winter Park. Organic veggies, cage free eggs and everything we needed were available at Wallmart and Publix Market, both within walking distance. The lakefront pool was beautiful and only a one minute walk from the front door. We especially enjoyed the sunrises - a great way to start the day. We give Jim's home 5 stars! Overall, it made for a quiet, peaceful vacation retreat.

Clean bright and beautiful

We have really enjoyed ourselves here in Cassellberry. The condo was clean, bright and attractive and we were very much at home. The area is quiet with a beautiful view of the lake. Most mornings we watch the sun rise while we have coffee in the living room. We liked our stay so much that we have booked a unit for next Feb and March.

Comfortable, peaceful

This was our second time at Lake Howell Arms. Love it for the close proximity to family and the lake views. Last year's unit was adequately supplied but that is not the case this year. The longer we stayed, the more things we discovered were needed, basic things like cleaning supplies, floor mop, can opener, blankets, and light bulbs to name some. Jim Travis' response was to buy it myself. Said he would reimburse me. I thought that Jim as property manager took care of those things but that isn't the case. Unit is nice otherwise.

The Place to Be!!!

The property manager told us "You're going to like it here!" He was absolutely right. The property was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The property is located away from the amusement parks so there is less traffic than is found closer to the parks. But there is an abundance of shopping and dining options very nearby. The property manager, Jim, was very friendly and very accommodating when we asked that maintenance issues be cared for. He promptly and efficiently cared for the few issues that came up. He also took the time to tell us about things to do in the area and made some suggestions for dining and shopping. The location of the property is excellent and the pool is very well-maintained. The lake adjacent to the property is very attractive. My wife and I are very satisfied with the property, and we would highly recommend this property to friends. Jim, the property manager made our stay even more pleasant.

Tranquill, spacious and spotless!

We found this spacious, beautiful and fairly priced property exactly as described and pictured. The manager gave us everything we asked for including guidance to local restaurants and entertainment. Good experience with owner

The owner of this condo couldn't have been nicer. He offered to help us learn our way around and answered all questions in a timely manner. Unfortunately due to poor health of my husband we were unable to make the trip. Mr Travis was most compassionate and immediately returned our money. We will try it again next year!

Great place on the lake

Very nice condo on an inland lake. Over the top sunrises in the morning. Close to many restaurants and a mall that has a mile walk around a lake. Manager was always available whenever we had questions or needed something.
