Forest bathe, star gaze, grill, dive in and float in the private, swimmable, spring-fed pond or just gaze at the sky’s reflection in its surface from an Adirondack chair with a drink in your hand . Near fishing, and the riches of Neversink River Unique Area. 5 min drive (or country-road walk) to the quaint, cool hamlet of Mountain Dale where you’ll find bars, eateries, farm to table breakfast, groceries, colorful clothes shop, rail trail and bike rental. Watching the clouds move across the surface of the water from the comfy deck with a beverage in your hand is all you really need to unwind. The house has 4 bedrooms, a huge living room, large deck, fire pit, stone gazebo and open air mason-built grill. Perfect retreat for 2 couples with kids, a privacy-loving family of 4-9 people or group of up to 12** Two king bedrooms, a kids room with bunk (full down; twin up; twin trundle underneath) and a bedroom, near living room, with a cozy full-sized bed, Eastlake dresser and view of the pond. 2 pull out sofas are in the living room. **For 12 ppl accommodation set up: with the 2 pull out sofas, we effectively have 8 beds. So the way it can work is as follows:
bedroom 1 king=2 ppl
bedroom 2 king=2 ppl
bedroom 3 two twins and a full=3-4 ppl
bedroom 4 a full= 1-2 ppl
living room two pull out sofas=4 ppl
So depending on how many people double up, you could use 1 or both of the pull out sofas.

The kitchen is large with a round Saarinen breakfast table for 6, ample counter space, antique hutch, new refrigerator and stove, Breville air fryer/toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, stackable clothes washer/dryer, dishwasher and copper sink in the wet bar, with passthru to deck. Cheerful vintage Fiesta ware.

Watch the changing light from new solid wood deck overlooking the pond in perfect ecological balance. Dive from ancient flat stones into 10 foot water or just sunbathe. Explore, walk and meditate on large glacial rocks off trails in woods behind house.

Gather in the expansive living room with original stone hearth, expandable oak dining table, and a huge picture window looking out onto the lawns & water. Soft linen curtains, vintage desk with useable Royal typewriter, and multiple seating options and board games provided.

In warmer weather, cook at the mason-built barbecue and serve directly to the deck, or eat at picnic table under the apple tree or on stones by the water. Outdoor folding table allows flexibility to eat outside. There’s plenty of space to cook together indoors or out. Majestic Farm is 5 mins up the road and sells fresh meat as well as U Pick organic apples—a fun nearby farm excursion, they have pigs and they also sometimes have peacocks!
