All sports lake front cottage with dock! Bear Lake is a public All Sports Lake with a public boat launch so bring all of your lake toys!

This two bedroom one bath that sleeps 5 is completely remodeled year round lakefront cottage. This quiet, rural setting is perfect for enjoying the spectacular night sky. There is a fire pit lakeside for everyone's enjoyment! There is also a new fireplace insert for those cold snowy nights as well as a furnace. It’s a nice lake to ice fish! Fish found in Bear Lake are trout, bass, perch, and bluegill to name a few.

This cottage is located in Hillsdale, Michigan and within 15 minutes of Hillsdale College. Also located minutes away from the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Center. It is located about 15 minutes from the town of Allen, Michigan, the self appointed antique capital of Michigan. There are also golf courses nearby. Firekeepers casino is about 45 minutes away. There is great hunting in the area!

This is a single story 740 square feet cozy cottage. Bedroom one has a queen size bed. Bedroom two has a full size bed along with a twin bed. There is a screened in porch to enjoy those beautiful summer nights bug free! There is a picnic table along with a gas grill, as well as patio furniture to enjoy. There is a large window air conditioning unit in the kitchen area and second bedroom that will keep the cottage cool in the summer months. There is a ceiling fan in the living area as well as both bedrooms. From steak to pasta you will have everything you need to cook.

There is a public boat launch on the lake with dock space out front of the cottage. There is a row boat that is included in this rental. We have five lifejackets available for use. Michigan law requires everyone on the row boat have a life jacket on. It's your responsibility to know Michigan boating laws. The owners are not responsible for any liabilities you may incur when using the lake or property. You acknowledge and agree to swim and boat at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty and swim at your own risk. Right out front of the cottage is a beautiful fishing cove to enjoy those morning sunrises. This is a lake, so you may see fish, turtles, swans, geese, snakes, and deer. The bottom out front of the cottage is sand for a few feet then muck.
There is a no smoking in the cottage.
We have Wifi available so you can sign into your own TV accounts.
There is a vacuum and broom in the closet of bedroom one.
There is a Keurig for your use, please use bottled water. There are standard pots and pans, plates, bowls etc supplied in the kitchen. There is a refrigerator, microwave, electric range and oven, toaster, small crockpot, a regular size crockpot and a waffle maker.
There is a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm in the cottage as well as a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink.
Linens: We will supply all sheets and pillowcases as well as comforters. (One queen, one full size, and one twin each set). We will have 5 bath towels as well as wash cloths and kitchen towels provided. We do not provide food or condiments. There are a few spices in the kitchen cabinet you are welcome to use.
Guests agree they will not interfere with the peace and quiet of neighbors. Guests will be held responsible for any damages that happens during the stay.
Keyless entry: You will get a key code before check in.
Please use bottled water in the Keurig due to the well water. We have Dunkin French Vanilla pods.

Bear Lake has sports hours of 11 AM to 7 PM.
