This beautiful A Frame is on a protected cove and nestled right in the middle of the Angelina National Forest on a secluded peninsula (six miles down Forest Service Roads) and right on gorgeous Lake Sam Rayburn. This spacious retreat sits on over an acre on a protected cove where you can fish and ski all day long. Boats can safely be kept in the water on a floating dock.
Since we are in the middle of the National Forest, you are steps away from hiking. Enjoy miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and bird watching. Challenge your kids to a game of horse shoes, washers, corn hole or spike ball and then cool off in the lake.
The house has 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps 18 in beds! It is fully equipped with Starlink high speed internet and Roku Smart Tv and DVD player and DVDs.
Plenty of dishes, utensils, kitchenware, pots and pans and everything you need to cook for a large group. Outside is a charcoal grill and a fire pit with a large grill top. In the garage is an extra refrigerator freezer and a washer and dryer. Inside dining seats 6 at the table and another 6 at the bar with seating for 16 outside on the deck. Bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels and wash cloths, including beach towels.
All three downstairs bedrooms have queen size beds. The loft bedroom has a king bed and is upstairs. The bunk room is upstairs and has one queen, one full and six twin beds. All beds have very comfortable mattresses and high quality bedding and the full, queens and king beds all have super pillow top mattresses. They are so comfortable you won't want to get out of bed!!

The property has over 300' of shoreline. A two man kayak and a canoe is available with life vests. A large deck overlooks the water and has two large picnic tables and seating. If you're looking for the nicest place on the lake, this is it!

We had a wonderful time. We had 18 people and had lots og toomngor everyone. This is a great location on the lake and this is a great place to tent and the owners are amazing. They let us come in early and leave a little later since it rained some. We had a fantastic weekend

It was nice and spacious, owner gave lots of info and was very helpful during our stay, we brought a pontoon and the lake was down but the owner took my husband to the boat ramp to see if we could launch there…. It was a nice peaceful get away with friends and family! All the beds were super comfy… it was one of the beat vrbo experiences we have had by far

Our family of 12 had an awesome time! This rental has everything you could want or need in a rental and Steve and Ferryn are so accommodating. They were next door and easily accessible to answer our questions. Our check in was a breeze. The place is so clean, with comfortable beds and a stocked kitchen. The guys caught lots of fish! The grandsons had so much fun fishing and using the little boat with the trolling motor! The girls enjoyed the Ping pong table and the games. This part of the lake was a good place for tubing and a short ride to an awesome beach area. The location is very quiet and secluded with beautiful sunsets. Thanks Ferryn and Steve for a great time on the lake. God willing we will see you next year!

Piece of heaven

It was a long dirt way drive for sure however it was the most peaceful, comfortable, safe place we have visited thus far. We started this family tradition trip since 2019. The host response was rapid and they were so kind. There were plenty beds and were super comfortable. The house was clean and homey, ac was cold and plenty of towels! Our kids loved the A frame design and walking out the back glass doors was the piece of heaven. The view along with fishing, swimming, canoeing, and hanging out it’s an all in one. Our family was definitely pleased and had voted to go back next year!

Great stay

Everything was as described in the listing. The host seems to have covered everything. We had a power outage, and provisions had been made to provide a generator to make our stay comfortable. Great planning.

Pleasant Stay

This is a cute A-frame with excellent views of the lake! The drive into the subdivision is dusty but so worth it. The fishing was very good! There are a lot of amenities. Check-in and check-out was very easy. I highly recommend this rental. Ferryn was friendly and helpful.

Great Time!

Loved the morning coffee looking at all the birds and that peaceful water. 8 oldies spent a great time fishing, visiting, napping and laughing.. OH Yea eating!!! Wonderful time already told friends to book!! We will be coming back!

Great Place

We have used the place for the last 2 years for our Family Vacation. Absolute best place I have found for a large group at the absolute best price. You could spend double the amount and still not have as nice a place / Location as this. I 110% recommend the A Frame House

Beautiful location

This A frame is located on a beautiful lake with tons of wildlife and stunning views. Me and my family loved the trip. The home comes with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Plenty of room for the 15 guests. We had our wedding at this location and was perfect. Hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with. The only downfall I would say is there were multiple large cobwebs throughout the home that could easily be removed along with the pillow in the home could for sure use replacing. When leaving and taking the pillowcases off to be washed we noticed multiple pillows with very large yellow stains and one appeared to be blood.

Family Reunion

Our family does a week together every year. It is a time in which we all look forward to. For the past several years, our family spent our time in Galveston, TX. This year we took a gamble and tried out Lake Sam Rayburn as we all spend our childhood there. Book the A-Frame was easy and met/exceeded all of our expectations. The area was quiet, the lake was right outside the door, the deck was wonderful, and the hosts were amazing and accommodating. Our kids spent every day in the lake and the fishing was top notch. We all agreed this was one of our best family reunions together.

Absolutely fantastic

Our families reunion with our matriarch and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have been going to Lake San Rayburn for over 50 years and I have to say this was the best time we have ever had. A lot of this was the A Frame house and location. Host was great, house was very accommodating. They had everything we needed and wanted. I would give this 5 stars everyday. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay

Aframe Vacation

Best place for large group fishing trips! Third year in a row our group has stayed here. Some of the best fishing ion Rayburn close by. Cove is protected and pull boat up 200’ from cabin. Fish cleaning station is very convenient. Comfortable and clean cabin. Very quiet neighborhood except when we are there. Frank R

We are retired teachers who live in the A Frame during the winter and at our next door cabin during rental season. We love to watch the sunsets, water ski, spot bald eagles and relax on the lake during the summer.

We bought this property in 2010 and planned to rent it until we retired. However, we are now retired and even though this will be our permanent address, we are going to continue renting because it has been such a positive experience. Our family owns the small cabin next door which enables us to enjoy the lake while renting the A Frame.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We use to think that the distance from Houston was too far (takes 2 1/2 to 3 hrs) but after spending time at some lakes close to Houston with the crowds, we think our lake is the best in Texas.
