It is a condo in a complex on a beautiful bay. The unit was comfortable, has a gorgeous view and easy access to the pool and beach. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of storage.
This is not in the city, so plan ahead. You can walk to palapa restaurants on the beach and there is a mini-mart a 1/4-1/2 mile away, and there is a restaurant on site during the high season. It is very easy to arrange boat trips for fishing, whale watching, snorkeling or rent kayaks and paddle boards from the beach near the palapas - the local captains are very helpful and flexible, and this makes a long cab ride into town completely unnecessary. The bay is very close to Los Arcos so for snorkel/scuba fans, it is the best place to depart from.
There are three or four spas offering massage in the palapas - I had a really good massage and the price was reasonable - strongly recommend.
The unit itself can be noisy because it is adjacent to the restaurant. The music is not overly intrusive, however, the happy patrons and end of night clean up were. Ear plugs were very helpful. If you are night owls, this will not be a problem as you might go to sleep after it closes. The restaurant is very good, by the way.
The building is very secure - gates and guards - and clean. Front desk staff speak English. Lovely flowers and lots of outdoor seating options overlooking the bay. Uber is available and "official" taxis are almost always close by. The guard/door-person will help you with a taxi. Taxi costs are quoted in advance based on distance.
We would return without hesitation.
