The heat and air was not working so we were unable to stay here. We ended up having to book a hotel stay instead and we still have not received the refund for the cancel.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Michele canceled our reservation just 10 hours before check-in, claiming AC/HVAC issues. This was completely unacceptable timing - we were already packed and ready to travel to St. Louis for a concert.After this happened, I checked other reviews and discovered Michele has done this to other guests. If there were legitimate HVAC problems, they could have been communicated days in advance, not at the last minute when it's nearly impossible to find alternative accommodations.Fortunately, we managed to find a hotel near our concert venue, but this caused unnecessary stress and scrambling that could have ruined our trip.Buyer beware - I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere to avoid the risk of having your plans completely disrupted.

Host’s employees were extremely helpful when I finally got a call back, definitely recommend better communication. Shower head leaking, shower handler seems like it’s about to fall off, 1 pot in entire kitchen to cook with, and a bunch of loose flooring

Wasn’t good but wasn’t all bad. Host has poor communication—entry steps changed but didn’t notify me, and was very hard to get in context with when trying to figure out entry steps. Laundry left in washer. Loose floorboards/tiles. Hole in wall. Wasn’t dirty but wasn’t very clean, dustballs and random socks under bed. Location was convenient, safe/secure. Good price bug wouldn’t book again.

Owner cancelled reservation at midnight the day we were supposed to stay due to uncommunicated AC problems. Had to scramble to find alternative housing as a result. Poor communication.

I can't wait to come back!

This place was exactly as described. It was very clean and absolutely loved the decor. I didn't have any issues with parking or safety. The building is in a good location. I will definitely be back!

The check in instructions were complicated and not formatted very well, plus the lockbox for the unit didn’t work: i figured out that the door was unlocked with the key hanging inside when i got there. WiFi didn’t work even after getting password and resetting.Could be my own fault for not checking, but usually there are shampoos/soaps provided in places as pricey as this and i discovered there wasn’t any. One of the wash cloths had a hair on it. Multiple broken/loose tiles that could have been harmful to step on barefoot.Randomly one bedside lamp didn’t have an outlet lol.

Our experience

The apartment was very nice and modern. Only complains i would have to give is the buckling floor in the kutchen but the owner communicated that its being fixed and the handle in the toliet would hang off everytime you flushed. But overall good experience! Would recommend and stay here again! Michell was very nice and respectful.

The apartment itself is decent. It looks just like the pictures minus a few decor items that were changed, like the comforter set. Upon check in there were a few hiccups, the lockbox where the key is located was not charged so we couldn’t retrieve the keys but the door was left unlocked by cleaners so was able to enter. Michelle responded with how to retrieve the keys in a decent amount of time.. could’ve been a little more attentive but all in all the problem was fixed. We had one more issue with the internet that I did not catch until late and it was fixed with in 10 minutes! A few things that could be improved are blankets and sheets. The bed had a mattress protector but no fitted sheet and there was only one extra comforter for the roll away bed or futon in living area. Now the building could use some help! The pool needs a good cleaning, there were bugs and bug larvae floating all in it.. the dragonflies were having a feast. And the main entrance has a sewer smell that desperately needs attending too!!! The area is decent there weren’t any people out walking at all hours of the night. All in all I would probably stay again and just not look at the pool and swab my nose with essential oils…the bed was comfortable, the futon was not and the roll away bed felt like a roll away(springy)!

DO NOT RENT HERE!! * DISGUSTING* PICTURES FAIL TO SHOW LACK OF PROPERTY CARE* HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEMy husband and I originally planned to stay here to go to a concert about an hour from our house. At the last minute, our plans changed and we had to bring our son with us, which I did communicate to the host. Upon arrival, we could not get into the rental property. It was shared that would be watched on the ring camera as we walked in however, we rang the doorbell many times with no response. The keypad was not working at all. We called the renter fifteen times and texted multiple times with no responses. At one point, we check the door and its unlocked! Shocked but relieved, as we had very little time to get to our concert. As we walk in, we walk past the bedroom first and realize the whole place had not been cleaned. The bedroom had blankets half on the bed, half off the bed. There were towels that were nasty against the wall.As we passed the bathroom, we saw there is hair all over the floor all over the toilet and all over the counter. The counter has discussing from other people's usage. As we go down the hallway, there was a hole punched in the wall, right by the thermostat. Kitchen and living room area- everything is dirty even food in the fridge. At this point, we have no choice but to rush to the show and leave our son. We went straight to the show and left the rental right after. Only offered back cleaning fee which is unbelievable

First off, i want to say the price for the property was the reason i booked it. It was much cheaper than other options. I read the reviews and was mostly prepared for the property conditions. The day of check-in, you will receive a text with a link to unlock the various gates and doors for the property, and i had no issues with this. The parking spot that was listed in the automatic message was i correct. A neighbor came out and informed us that the parking spot listed was wrong and we would be towed if we parked there. She told us to park next to the dumpster instead and thats what we did. We made multiple attempts to message the host via the vrbo app and text the number listed for the property but never received a response. There was in fact a vehicle parked in the listed space, but we had no issues parking next to the dumpsters. There is also free street parking outside the gate but the area is a little sketchy. When you go into the building it smells like old trash pretty bad. I saw someone say the pool was gross as well, but we didnt go swimming. The keybox on the outside of the door is broken. The door was just unlocked with the key hanging inside. The bedroom looks like it was supposed to have a barn door on it, but it is no longer there. The room was clean, the only thing that wasnt is the bathroom vent. There is no laundry detergent or dishwasher pods so bring your own. The king bed is comfortable, but the futon and cot are not and need more blankets/pillows.

St Louis Loft

It was a disaster. Some of the issues were of my own making, some were the direct result of the host. I am not tech savvy, so all of the things that required the use of an IPhone caused considerable confusion. But the instructions given were scant, unclear and not helpful. So ease of entry into the parking lot, elevator and loft went sideways. And it didn’t help that it was a cold, wet, windy night. Several days before my arrival date I posed multiple questions requesting information. None of my inquiries were answered by the host which forced me to contact the home office for help. The home office couldn’t get through either but did provide a phone number. That turned out to be a lifesaver because after multiple attempts we finally had to call the host to gain access. We had to wait several minutes before we could park because an idling truck was straddling our spot. There were chicken bones and fast food wrappers near the entryway, but when we finally got inside that’s when the real fun began. The loft itself was fairly clean, but there were several imperfections like fist sized holes in the walls and missing floor tile. The loft supposedly slept six. There was one king bed, a twin futon and a twin rollaway. There was one remote for two TVs in two different rooms. The refrigerator wasn’t cold, but the shower was hot. Pricing was fair. I’d have to rate this loft a D- for false advertising, poor communication and location.
