Beautiful, remodeled Victorian / Modern home with open floor plan.
The Mississippi River is your backyard right in Minneapolis. 3 queen bedrooms and a 4th pullout bed in the common room. 10 minute drive to downtown Minneapolis.
We've been a super host on other platforms since 2015 with hundreds of 5 star reviews. We've always enjoyed having guests at our one of a kind 1880's Victorian home with modern additions. One of only six houses in the Twin Cities right on the river. Relax in the river room with a beautiful bent wood solarium, fireplace and river view. Enjoy the dock for sunsets, downtown views, nature and the colorful Lowry Bridge. A rare historic home we like to call "country in the city".
A buzzing restaurant district. Within a few blocks are 4 restaurants, a brew pub, and coffee shops. The Sample Room restaurant is 2 doors south.
Near Twins, Timberwolves, Vikings, US Bank stadium, Walker Art Center, Guthrie Theater, 1st Avenue, night life, art galleries, live music, cinemas, hiking trails, brew pubs, kayak and bike rentals.
The space:
A spacious, open layout with private rooms, pocket doors, leaded glass, original art, beautiful light and modern furnishings. We've hosted 1 or 2 guests, families, friends for small gatherings, and many business travelers.
Guest access
This is a large duplex. We live on the second floor if you have questions. You have the entire private first floor: fully equipped kitchen, river room with solarium, living room which includes a 4th comfortable queen fold out. Two bedrooms with pocket doors are on the first floor along with a third bedroom on the second floor via a staircase that we do not share with guests. Your private entrance is a sliding glass door on the river-side. The back patio has a table, 6 chairs and gas grill. There's also a side porch so there's plenty of room for gatherings or hanging outside to enjoy views of the Mississippi river.
Our large modular space and huge backyard has been used for special events, family reunions, retreats and weddings. Please ask about your event and we can negotiate a price.

This was our second stay here - the first was our wedding weekend and this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was as comfortable and charming as it was the last time we came! The atrium windows and the array of music selections to play over the surround sound system make for a relaxing time here. The soft snow looked beautiful out the large windows facing the river. Itā€™s such a cozy gem in the midst of the city! We canā€™t wait to spend more anniversaries here to come! We even brought our newborn baby with and it was a breeze!

Home is beautiful & peaceful.. maybe it my fault for this being new to home rentals, but A few of us struggled with dander in the home due to allergies ( we all went home with animal hair on our clothing or just not being able to avoid it from the couch.) Phillip whom is very kind & Super helpful, which makes this hard to say but we were taken back from the dog being walked in the back of the house where we enter and exit the home also where the home is is open more. Nothing but windows 100% of the back of house and we felt like we should have been able to stay in our PJs but after Phillip and dog being there we needed to dress. Didnā€™t really feel like we had privacy in the early morning. We also didnā€™t feel comfortable with being able to just go out side the house without making sure the dog was not outside. 1 of the guest had a run in with the dog one of the afternoons when coming back from her vehicle. Respect that people have dogs but I feel you should keep your dog to yourself and not expect people thatā€™

Iā€™ve been staying VRBO properties every year for last 20 years, and this has to be the worst property weā€™ve ever stayed at. DO NOT book this property. Almost nothing has been done to this property in decades. Most outlets didnā€™t work, dirty floors with food still in refrigerator. Internet not working, and no tv (no cable or signal). Property in inner city in a bad neighborhood. Once youā€™re there, thereā€™s no turning back. They got your money. Iā€™ve never felt so ripped off. VRBO should not accept this property as a listing.

We loved the location, with a beautiful shared dock and yard. It was right on s street with restaurants, bars, parks, and walking/ biking trails. Inside the home and yard, you are surrounded by trees and nature, we couldn't hear any traffic, just birds.

A great home base for family time

We really enjoyed the space. It was perfect for hosting meals with local family while also providing a quiet refuge for the visitors. The riverside location was a big plus. Would definitely stay there again!

This home is absolutely stunning, and Isabelle was a fantastic host! We stayed here the night before and night of our wedding and hosted our wedding party and family for an informal rehearsal dinner, and Isabelle and her husband were so lovely and accommodating. The space is gorgeous, they have a great little history lesson about the home for you when you check in, and there's an ADORABLE dog on the property that came and said hi to us while we were on the patio/yard. All of our out of state friends were absolutely delighted with the access to the Mississippi. The records and sound system made it easy for us to put on background music, and the atrium windows were perfect for getting ready pictures. My wife and I are already talking about another stay just the two of us for an anniversary.

Beautiful space, so comfortable and cozy, lots of light and it was peaceful and easy to stay there. Easy to get around the cities. The space is well situated and perfect for visiting, lounging, slow starts. The hosts were gracious, unobtrusive, availavble and friendly. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

Great house in a unique location

A nice place on the river that has a cool MCM vibe. One bedroom is upstairs and the staircase needs to be navigated with some care, but we had no issues. Friendly hosts. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to reserve again.

Northeast Minneapolis is the heart of a vibrant arts district. The Mississippi river defines our neighborhood with several parks, kayaking, fishing, geese, blue herons, bald eagles and beautiful sunsets right next to the skyscrapers of downtown. Our neighborhood is very progressive and open to all, with locally owned businesses, restaurants, brew pubs, coffee shops, live venues and art galleries.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

We are 1 of only 6 homes right on the Mississippi River in the Twin Cities. Our beautiful 1880's Victorian home still has the original wrought iron fence. Inside history flows into modern with walls of wood and floor to ceiling glass offering relaxing river views. Our queen beds are new and very comfortable. The open layout includes designer furniture and original art. Our expansive yard has majestic trees on three large terraces that lead to the river.
