Worked well for what we needed

The house had a couple issues, like missing hand soap and some ants in the kitchen, but was a comfortable stay for the weekend.

Gaming house

This home is perfect for a small family looking for a nice place to stay while visiting family in Columbus. It’s very accommodating for children, keeping them occupied for hours. Very relaxing home in my opinion.

Definitely a Cozy Game House

The Host is absolutely amazing! The Home was clean, and perfect for a family vacation with all the comforts of home. The neighborhood was so peaceful and welcoming I had no worries.

My kids loved the place!

We had a blast plus our stay is great! We forgot one of our keys and the host mailed me my keys back! I will definitely recommend this vacation home! If you have kids with your travel this is the place! They will love playing at the backyard. They have lots of toys so the kids are busy playing.

Great house

Very cute house setup perfect for small family visits or friends getaway. Host is super friendly and helpful. Went out of her way to make sure we could get to the house safely with the road construction happening on the front of house road. Can’t go wrong staying here. O-H

Fun times at the game house

We stayed for 5 days. The house was clean and had lots of extras like board games, snacks, and coffee. We were working a local convention, so we were mostly there to sleep. We did enjoy our few hours in the evenings playing games and cooking a light dinner. The property owner was very responsive to our needs.

Cozy game house

The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The only complaint would be it was a little warm in the upstairs bedrooms, was listed as 2 bath and is only 1 1/2 bath and last only park is street parking on driveway. But over all it was a good experience

Thank you for the feedback. A few notes, I have the property listed as 1.5 baths with 2 full beds in the description. I’m not sure where it’s listed as 2 baths. Did you adjust the AC or use any of the fans to cool down the rooms?

Very responsive host

We had a pleasant stay at Kay's property. Kay is an exceptionally responsive host, always quick to reply to our messages. She actively checked in on us to ensure everything was going well. The neighborhood initially felt a bit uncertain, but we didn't encounter any issues during our stay. Overall, it was a positive experience, thanks to Kay's attentiveness and care.

Game House - Home Run

Lovely house and host, house had it all- lots of games- PacMan Video Machine- large deck , great private covered outdoor space with fire pit, comfy beds. Quiet neighborhood with grocery store near by, park 4 blocks provides great place for the kids. We enjoyed watching the ducks and who was catching fish! I would definitely rent again- very happy I chose this property !

Convenient and comfortable

We attended Equine Affaire for 3 days so spent 2 nights and very little time in the house besides that. The beds were comfortable and it was only 3 miles to the event center. The check in process worked very well and Karina was very responsive. The neighborhood wasn't the best and parking is on the street. The description is not accurate: there is one full bathroom and one half bath NOT 2 full bathrooms, it is a 2-story house (not mentioned in the write up) which wouldn't work for elderly people, it states there's a washer and dryer and there isn't either. Other than that it was clean and certainly pleasant enough for the time we spent there.

Hi Sue, Thank you for choosing us and telling me about the typo concerning the half bath. I didn't realize the second bathroom was listed as a full instead of an half. Your the first person to let me know and its been corrected. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. Did you go to the basement? Last, the house is in the city in an urban neighborhood and the neighbors are great.

Nice house. Poor description and communication from the host.

The house is nice. The host did not communicate well or respond to messages sent. The property is listed to have a washer and dryer. It does not. Trash cans didn’t have bags in them se we had to use small bathroom bags throughout our stay. The neighborhood is noisy, but there are several neighbors.

Communication is always key. If one channel is broke, then try the other alternatives such as calling, or texting. Sometimes technology may fell or cause delay with VRBO messaging due to wifi. I pride myself in meeting the needs of all guest as best as possible. The home has always had a washer and dryer in the basement. The neighborhood currently has construction, and maybe a little noisier than usual during the day. This is temporary. There are nice neighbors on both sides of the home.

Nice stay in a neighborhood, attentive host.

The house was what we expected from the listing. It was very close to Ohio State Fairgrounds so our commute was simple and straightforward. Neighborhood was overall quiet, parking was on the street but there was always an open spot in front of our house. It's an older neighborhood, but that was not a big concern. Beds were comfy, futon had more room to pull out than the photo led us to believe. LOTS of games and extras which worked great for us in the evenings. We appreciated the extras we had access to... extra bankets, extra towels, toiletries, spices in kitchen etc. We definitely did not need to overpack to be comfortable. Our host was very attentive and prompt with the one request we had above our general questions.

Mother and sons weekend

The house was very nice inside and had everything that was listed in the description. The photos were accurate, and the host provided a welcome basket of some additional games and some snacks. There were also some outdoor games for us to set up and use, which my boys enjoyed. The neighborhood was not the nicest, and a road closure forced us to park in the back alley, with trash strewn everywhere (I understand this was no fault of the host, who has no control of neighbor's trash or roadwork). The grass was not cut, so we didn't end up playing cornhole in the yard like we wanted, but we did enjoy pickleball on the deck. It took a while to get responses from the host, but I see she has great reviews in that area and I assume it was just an off weekend (things happen). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this house and all the lovely games and amenities that it included. One nice touch might be to include some firewood for guests to use the fire pit out back, but we had a very nice stay here and would book again.

Check-in time says 3'oclock, I didn't receive instruction on how to check-in by 2:20p the day of, I sent a message to the host asking if I had missed a message with check-in instruction. Her response was "I do not send check-in instructions until 39 minutes prior." message received at 2:21pm...Not enough toilet paper for 3 guests during a 4-day, 3-night stay, host provided 1 and 1/4 rolls, had to purchase my own TP. 1 hand towel in the whole place. Had to split paper towel between lower bath and kitchen. Smell of cat urine throughout lower level. Lots of stray cats in the backyard.Sliding glass door unsecured upon arrival. A/C running but upstairs windows open during a 94-degree day, unable to cool down the upper level to sleep comfortably the 1st night. Hand soap in both baths was empty, filled them myself. One soap dispenser had old, dried soap caked on the outside and the pump did not work, cleaned that up so it was in working condition. Dishes and utensils were thrown in drawers and cupboards like children did the work.Walked around in my white socks, bottoms were filthy, threw them away. The garbage can in the kitchen was a 30 gallon outside bin, the garbage bags were 13 gallon, had to have our trash bag on the floor. Sketchy location, loud music, suspicious people constantly walking back and forth. Not your kid-friendly neighborhood. Would not recommend, spend 25 more per night and stay in a safer, cleaner neighborhood.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your stay did not meet expectations, as I always aim to provide a clean and comfortable home. I do provide my direct phone number for any urgent needs, but I did not receive a call from you during your stay — many of your concerns could have been resolved quickly had we spoken directly. On a separate note, I’ll be reviewing supplies and housekeeping to make sure everything is fully prepared for future guests. Regarding the neighborhood, the home is located in the urban city surrounded by great neighbors on a fairly quiet street. There has never been a reported incident affecting guest safety. My goal is always to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable stay, and I’ll continue improving to ensure that.
