Another amazing stay!

I have stayed in this unit several times. It has had a complete update recently. Cannot say enough positive things about the unit and the owner! You will not be disappointed.

Nice room at a resort

This is a nice room with a comfortable bed and small kitchenette. The highlights are the balcony and the private pool that can only be used by those staying in the Tresor Tower.

Great apartment / Breathtaking views

Pictures don’t do this apartment justice. Aside from the views, everything is top-notch. From service, to location, to amenities. The host is gracious, responsive and highly accommodating.Loved the stay and will sure come back!

Amazing Veiws

Loved the condo. The owner was fantastic with communication and any questions or needs we had. Last minute we decided to add a night as we were coming in early and he made the change without any questions.The views were amazing. We've stayed several times at Fontainebleau, this condo was priced right and had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying in this condo again!

Beautiful Property!

My son and I stayed in this property for 5 nights and had the most amazing vacation. The view from the 36th floor was beautiful...you had the ocean right in front of you and city views to the side. The room had everything that you would need and the bed was very comfortable. The grounds, pool, access to the gym and the ocean at your fingertips made for a great get away in Miami!!

We stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful views of both Bay Area and Beach. Refrigerator was broken, told front desk a few times and nothing was ever done. Also told the front desk about the sliding door that was very hard to open and close! Had to constantly call for ice. Overall was ok..

Horrible check in, they didn’t have our check in confirmation on record. Over charged from our original confirmed amount. Locked out of our room ! Without any water for hours !

Double Booked Our Stay

Michael double booked our stay. When we arrived to check in, the hotel had no record of our reservation. When I called Michael to inquire about what happened, he hung up on me. He then called me back only after VRBO contacted him after I contacted VRBO customer service. Thankfully, the hotel was able to find us a different room that Michael owns (we think), but we had to move rooms midway through our stay due to him either not booking us originally and/or double booking the room we booked and paid for. Beware of booking with him.

Mostly Enjoyable

The check in instructions and address were not accurate. We were given address to main hotel and not the address for Sorrento tower so we completely unpacked the vehicle only to have to pack up and relocate to correct address/valet drop off. Once at sorrento tower we didn’t have a key to get in so we had to wait until someone came out in order to get into the building. Instructions said to proceed to 7th floor but actually had to get keys on the second floor. Got up to the room and opened the door and while the unit itself was clean and as depicted through pictures, the smell of cigar smoke and weed were so prevalent it was almost nauseating. The people staying in the unit next door smoked regularly and often on the balcony make it impossible to enjoy the use of the balcony. Over all the amenities and unit itself were as expected it was just really hard to completely enjoy due to the smell…through no fault of the owner however.

Terrible Follow-Up - Ghosted by the owner

We finally got checked into our room which was clean but dated as others have said. On the second evening of our stay we were returning to the unit after dinner and the hallway outside the unit was in the process of being flooded through a ceiling vent. We skirted along the shallowest part of the water to get to the unit and once inside saw that water was pouring in along the floor in the bathroom and the water in the bathroom was an inch deep in places. The entire entryway carpet and area up to the bed was soaked and actually splashed when walking. We scrambled to get all our belongings that were on the floor up and started to try dry them out to prevent further damage while one of us contacted the front desk and Michael, the owner and VRBO host. It took hours for maintenance to get things under control and we were forced to stay in a flooded room. At midnight maintenance left but the carpets were still soaking wet so that we had to wear sandals to even access the bathroom. I messaged Michael via the VRBO app, texted, and called the owner Michael. Not once did we hear from him. The next morning nothing had been done to fix the room and the unit began actively flooding again. We packed up and went down to the Owner’s office to see why they had not moved us and why nothing had been done. They said they were trying to contact the owner because they could not do anything until they spoke with him. Finally, around 2 PM they moved us into another unit. The following day was our departure date and upon checkout I was hit with a huge bill for being moved into a dry unit. We are still trying to that bill resolved. While the flooding was not the owner’s fault, his lack of communication and follow through is disgraceful and not the way to treat guests. An entire day of our vacation was lost having to seek assistance to get things cleaned up and have us relocated out of a flooded and horrible smelling room. The whole experience was terrible. Every person we had to deal with at the resort and the owner, Michael showed a complete lack of professionalism and hospitality. It was one incompetency after another and is still a headache that we are dealing with a week later. I have stayed at dozens of VRBOs over the years and I cannot recommend this owner or property to anyone. The location and pools are nice. Everything else is either mediocre or worse.

Rooftop pool was perfect as well as the resort pool and beach accommodations. I believe our unit was considered a studio and it was perfect for the two of us, especially with the balcony!
