We had a wonderful and relaxing visit to the Moravia Lake House on southeast shores of Lake Owasco. The property was easy to find and very close to the small country town of Moravia (where local sundries can be picked up at the Modern Market, delectable Perry's ice cream to enjoy at the local parlour, and the Ferris Glen State Park with it's waterfalls, hikes, swimming hole, and gorgeous gorges! The house itself was an eclectic mix of boho chic and country living vibes. It has a very warm and inviting feel with a large dining table and lots of couches for lounging inside, reading, and playing games. The waterfront is down a long gravel pathway where a charming mini-dock pokes into the clear rocky bottom of the lake front. Swimming was wonderful even in early September as the water was not cold at all and very clear and clean. It was lovely to sit by the water in morning and watch the sun hit the opposite shore (house is on the eastern shore), read, and enjoy sunsets and evening bonfires in the fire pit. The property is dog-friendly and we had out pup there who loved swimming and playing on the beach and met two neighbor dogs to play with as well. The neighbors were all friendly and welcoming in this small cove community. We had some questions about accessing the TV service and kayak rentals for the host and we would have appreciated more info about those things. But otherwise we had little issues during our stay.
