Lakefront Getaway on Highland Lake – Bridgton, ME

Escape to this charming year-round chalet on the shores of crystal-clear Highland Lake in Bridgton. Perfect for families or groups, this 4/5-bedroom, 3-bath home offers an ideal summer retreat with stunning lake views, plenty of space to relax, and direct water access. The house is also walking distance to downtown Bridgton with its restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues.

The open-concept Great Room and loft feature a wall of windows overlooking the lake, along with a large deck and screened porch for outdoor dining and lounging. On the main floor you’ll find two bedrooms and a full bath, a master suite upstairs with a queen bed, jet tub, and panoramic views, a loft with additional sleeping for 2 and a lower level with a bedroom, full bath, game/play area, and laundry.

Enjoy swimming, kayaking, boating, or simply floating in the clean, 1,400-acre lake. Hiking trails, charming local shops, restaurants, and all essentials are just a short walk away. North Conway and the White Mountains are a quick drive for day trips and more outdoor adventures.

Whether you're on the water, gathered around the firepit, or watching the sunset over Mt. Washington from the dock, this home is designed for summer memories.

Also, I have minimum night stay set to 7 days to ensure summer is rented for full weeks only. I can rent for 3 days outside of peak summer season.

We had a wonderful family trip to this lovely house. Perfect location in town, and the lakeside views were amazing. We spent a lot of our time relaxing on the dock outside, and our nights were spent in the spacious living room by the fire. Highly recommend!

Lovely home with plenty of space for everyone. Wifi was great, kitchen was large and well stocked, comfy chairs in front of every TV and the large picture windows, and the view was fantastic. The pier is big, and the all season Adirondack chairs made lake side lounging very easy. The extra camp chairs and water gear were bonus finds with the house. Dave and Colleen were very gracious, generous, and responsive hosts. We really enjoyed the weekend and look forward to another opportunity to stay again.

Perfect Spot

Our family had a great stay at this property. House was very clean and the communication with Donna was very easy. Waterfront is bigger than most and in a perfect location for swimming, kayaking, etc. House was very well equipped as well. Would stay again if we came back to the area.

Perfect lake location!

Well equipped, large, comfortable home, great lakefront spot with spectacular views! Nothing like a dip in the crystal clear lake whenever our hearts desired, and the yard and dock are perfect for hanging out, eating, napping (best hammock EVER!) We kayaked and canoed every day. And so nice to walk to town, great shopping and Vivo Restaurant a must for dinner. We highly recommend this rental.

Nice and convenient.

The house and the lake are both very nice. Wood interior, everything clean and in-working order. Kitchen and family room ideal for families, games, hanging out. Two docks and swimming platform in clear and clean lake. All this and a 15 minute walk to a Bridgton and Renys. Great vacay overall.

Gorgeous lake home with fantastic waterfront!

Wonderful lake home and property! Gorgeous sunsets inside and down at the water. Great docks & float at the water, plus boats. Plenty of space for all to enjoy the water. Clean, clear water with sanding bottom...deep off end of dock...not for little ones, but our kids loved it (age 5-16). Everything about the home and property was fantastic!

Amazing!

From the moment my communication started with the owner I knew I had picked the right place for my family! Donna is fantastic! She was patient and answered all of my questions about the house and surrounding area in a very timely manner! As for the house....the views and the sunsets were out of this world every single night! The pictures listed are very accurate and updated! The house was clean and very well equipt with everything you may need. My family did not want to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Donna!

Amazing property

The house, land and location were beautiful. We had everything we needed and more. The host was so nice and checked in with us to make sure all was well. The sunset’s were stunning. The house was big with so much room. The large windows facing the lake brought in so much light. I cook and bake a lot and the kitchen had everything you needed. Our view of the lake from the master bedroom was so wonderful to wake up to every morning. It was so peaceful we definitely plan on visiting this house again in the future. Thank you Donna for sharing your peace of heaven with us.

Great place and location

We had a great week staying here. The house has all the amenities you need and the newly finish basement gave our kids some extra space to spread out. Lakeside we used the kayaks, swimming dock, and fire pit on a daily basis. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, lovely home

The house is located within walking distance to town and the local beach and boat launch. The sunset views were spectacular and the dock area is open and really user friendly. I loved that the home felt like a home and not a rental. It had plenty of plates/pans/utensils, etc. and the living area was cozy and open. The only reason I give this house 4 stars is the basement area with the bunk beds, pool table, and 3rd bath is only partially finished and it felt that way so we didn't use it except for laundry. That being said, we had a fantastic time and plan on returning next summer.

Maine Trip

This year I had an amazing time at this house. We had many great laughs and we all had a great time. We got to go skiing at the nearby mountain, Shawnee Peak. There were no broken bones like last year, so that was a plus. We all had a great time hanging out in the basement shooting pool, and just laughing. The sunrise over the lake is beautiful, and so is the sunset. The house is very close to the nearby town ice rink, which was also a lot of fun. We have had many great memories at this house, and hopefully more to come.

Wonderful house !!! Great location !!! Extremely relaxing - everything was great !!! Even with it being a little warm, we still managed to keep cool in the lake. Donna and David did a great job with this house . Will definitely consider doing it again next year.

Our New Family Tradition

Thanks to David and Donna! Our 3 generation family had a most wonderful time at this beautiful lakeside home. The house is modern, well equipped and comfortable. The outdoor ammenities are outstanding. We appreciated the owner's attention to detail and their desire to make our stay enjoyable. We have a new family tradition now and will be back for more next year.

Family Vacation

We just love this house. This is our family winter vacation and it is just great. The house has everything we need. One of the best equipped kitchen we love to cook. Great for snowmobiles, ice skating, skiing everything we love. Our favorite place.

Amazing Home!

This year I had an amazing vacation in this house! I had a great time playing pool and shooting darts in the rec room with my family. We had so many laughs and such a great time. We also got to go skiing at Shawnee Peak Ski Mountain and had an amazing time besides for the fact that I broke my arm snowboarding. We also got to go snowmobiling on the local trails and go iceskating right in town. I cant wait for next year and hope we get a chance to stay in this wonderful house again!

Wonderful Columbus Day Weekend

I just wanted to say that we had a lovely long weekend at David and Donna's Bridgton lake house. What a beautiful home in a spectacular location. We missed the peak in the fall leaf color, but it was still a sight to behold. The house is well kept and well equiped. We were a group of four adults (two couples). While we stayed for 3 nights, we didn't manage to find the time to take advantage of all the house's amenities, including the pool table in the basement! We would definitely stay here again. It would be great to be there during the summer to take advantage of its location on the lake and make use of the great dock and all the water toys, Lastly, I just want to say how helpfull Donna was in the lead-up to our rental. Thank you again for everything!

Ideal lake getaway

I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a relaxing time on Highland Lake. It was a terrific facility with great scenery. The kayaks were an added bonus.

Gorgeous lake!

The house is gorgeous and everything you will need is there! I live locally so I brought a lobster pot, beach chairs and a hammock, all of which were perfectly in place upon arrival. The lake was super warm and the bottom was sandy and rocky...no gushy milfoil yuckiness! I hope to make it an annual trip!

Great Family Vacation

Awesome house! Two families spent a week here. Plenty of room...never felt cramped. Very well stocked kitchen. Nice screened porch area.Beautiful view of the lake. Access to water and the docks were perfect. Location on the lake is amazing. Really enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. The firepit was a big hit as well...especially when making smores! Very enjoyable week and all of us said we would do it again!

Great House

This house is a great house and I love it! The thing I love about this house is the pool table, open concept floor plan, and the loft room where I slept. This was one of the most fun vacations I have ever had and I'm hoping to come back to this house next year. I love the town and I love that there are snowmobile trails everywhere even though there was not a lot of snow when I was there to ride them. I would also recommend going to the nearby Ski Mountain Shawnee Peak. It was a great time!

Beautiful house with everything you need!

I stayed there with my wife, our toddler daughter and another couple over the Christmas break and we all really enjoyed it. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a generous welcome package filled with goodies. The house was gorgeous and the layout worked well for us. The open concept first floor allowed us to socialize, watch our toddler while preparing meals in the large, well stocked kitchen. The house was clean and the bedrooms were all a good size. The laundry facilities in the basement was convenient and we all appreciated the laundry detergent that was provided. The house was only a 35 min drive to Sunday River for skiing and close to many of the other ski hills, which we didn't go to unfortunately, because of the lack of snow. The owners are amazing!! They were extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We did have some initial difficulty with the lights -- some bedrooms don't have light switches, only lamps and there were a multitude of random light switches that we couldn't figure out what they did. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely return!

Fabulous Home-YEAR ROUND!

This is an absolutely lovely home with many amenities and beautiful surroundings. The lake is pristine and the evening sunsets exquisite! This is a very comfortable home for either a small or large group. Wonderful place to entertain and gather with friends and family. We had so much fun using the canoes and kayaks and even enjoyed local hikes nearby. It is child friendly and the kitchen is open to the family room for an open, airy feel. I would love to return here in the fall to view the foliage and to hike and in the winter for the nearby skiing and cozy fireplace. We highly recomend this rental...you will NOT be disappointed!

This property has one of the most beautiul views on the lake - sunsets over Mt Washington. Town is within walking distance, but you feel like you're in another world when at the dock enjoying the sounds of the loons. Open floor plan, amazing dock system and water access, beautiful views, access to local attractions.
