Luxurious Cottage on beautiful private pond. Hot Tub! Outdoor wood fireplace, kayaks & gas fire table. Graceful bridges lead to your Private Island with screened gazebo and hammock. Lounge on the deck with mountain and lake view or hike the trails on our 68 acres to the Gold Mine Trail. With a full kitchen, fine china, new shower, Jacuzzi bathtub, electric fireplaces, and two workspaces, this dog-friendly luxury cottage has it all! Adjacent guest house available for larger groups.

Escape to FarAway Pond, a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of the White Mountains` Great North Woods. Immerse yourself in the beauty of our water, forest, fields, and orchards. Explore our private trails, connect to the GoldMine trail in the adjacent 300-acre Dana Forest, or simply relax and reconnect with yourself. High-speed internet and a dedicated workspace are available if you need to connect to the outside world.

There are only 3 cottages along the lake shore. We group these cottages along one side of the pond so the maximum shoreline is protected, following guidelines set by our forest advisor. Each cottage has a private view, but as sound carries over water, you may hear other guests enjoying their deck. We have a team of dedicated groundskeepers and gardeners who keep everything tidy and you may see them about the place, watering and trimming.

Our luxurious cottage offers everything you need for a perfect getaway. The gourmet kitchen is a chef`s dream, complete with all the gadgets and pans you could desire (just ask if you need something specific!). Enjoy meals in the dining room with fine china and silverware. The master bedroom boasts a wall of windows overlooking the pond and a master bath with a jetted tub and separate shower. A laundry room and half bath add to your convenience. The living room features a comfortable new sofa bed with chaise and a cozy electric fireplace. Outside, a lovely wood fireplace on the deck awaits, with wood provided! An outdoor kitchen and comfy pond-side deck with dining furniture complete the picture.

Explore our 68-acre estate year-round, from vibrant fall foliage to snowy winter landscapes. Enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, and easy access to nearby ski resorts like Cannon and Bretton Woods. Keep an eye out for local wildlife – you might spot moose, bear, otters, and more! (A note about our wild neighbors: seasonal critters like mosquitos, black flies, mice, and squirrels may occasionally visit. We do our best to manage this naturally, so we have provided some guidelines in the owners manual and a selection of repellants)

The entire private estate and pond is there for you you to enjoy and there are lovely trails to walk through the woods and meadows. Look for moose, bear, otter and our lovely ducks as they float around the pond. There are trout in the pond as well, bring your fishing gear! We have poles and an ice auger for drilling a hole in the ice for ice fishing! Full outdoor kitchen on the deck for grilling those trout! There is a grill on your deck and a shared fire pit at the beach. Kayaks and paddle boards available for your use. In winter, you can snowshoe, ice fish or ski and ride at nearby Breton Woods and Cannon MT.

If I am in residence I will be glad to show you around and explain the Forest Society Protection on our land. There is a property manager on site to trouble shoot if I am away.

The White Mountains offer lots of entertainment from farmers markets, to the spectacular Mt, View Grand resort with bars, restaurants, golf and wine cellar only 3 miles away. The weathervane theater is 2 miles away and there are numerous challenging mountain hikes and climbs-including Mt.Washington-20 minutes away. The Whitefield Market in town is just 1.5 miles away for groceries or the Littleton Coop in Littleton-20 minutes away has everything you could dream of!

You will need a car to venture out, but may be so at peace that you might be content to hike around locally during your stay. We have a Tesla destination charger should you drive electric! Bring your own cord please.

The Cottage is fully heated and air conditioned with efficient heat pump, cosy and energy efficient electric `wood burning ` fireplace. We have 40 solar panels and make our own electricity, so this is an ecologically sound way to go. Wood for the fire pits is from fallen trees collected right here on the property.

Owner and caretakers live on site and are there to to answer any questions or direct you to local attractions.

GUESTS AND VISITORS
To ensure everyone`s safety and for insurance purposes, only the guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property. We thank you for your understanding! Please ask if you need an exception, chances are that will be possible.

QUIET HOURS
Please help us maintain the peaceful nature of our lakeside setting. Quiet hours begin at dusk. To be mindful of our neighbors, please do not play amplified music outdoors at any time. Sound travels easily over the water, and we appreciate your cooperation.

WATERFRONT SAFETY
Our pond is a wonderful feature, and we want you to enjoy it safely! Please remember:
Swim at Your Own Risk: There is no lifeguard on duty.
Supervise Children: Adults must supervise children at all times when they are near or in the water.
Water & Alcohol: For your safety, please do not use the pond, kayaks, or boats if you have been drinking.

PARKING
Please keep all vehicles on the gravel driveway and park at the end of the walkway to your cottage. We have well, septic, and electrical lines running underground beneath the lawn, and driving on it could cause significant damage.

DOGS
We love dogs! All dog guests must be well socialized and kept under the control of the owner as we may have several dogs on the property at one time. We expect our guest dogs to not be aggressive towards people or other animals, on or off leash. Dog owners are responsible for their dogs actions.

FIREARMS AND FIREWORKS
For the safety and peace of everyone, firearms and fireworks are strictly prohibited on the property.
