Beachlands waterfront retreat is available again! We took a break from holiday letting as a local family needed a home while they rebuilt. Beachlands is a seaside hamlet reached via a drive through a picturesque rural area or alternatively by hi speed ferry from Downtown. Recently renovated, character waterfront property with private pathway access to Sunkist Bay and sea views over Auckland harbour. A special mix of semi-tropical Nikau palms and native trees with beautiful birdlife. The house is an enchanting, clean, and comfortable four-bedroom character bungalow. Great indoor/outdoor living with easy flow from all rooms to private garden. There are two bathrooms including two showers and a bath. The open plan kitchen has sea views and good access to outdoor living areas. Relax in the Hot springs hot spa under the Southern stars.

Main living area is open plan, flows to deck with a sunny window seat that boasts sea and garden views. Separate TV/ lounge room also flows to deck and outdoor living.


Very close to Formosa golf course. A private retreat yet only 35-40 minutes from downtown Auckland and 25-30 minutes to the airport. Ferry service to downtown Auckland and Waiheke Island.

A wonderful stay

Could not ask for a more peaceful and tranquil place to call home. Our initial booking had to be cancelled because of a cyclone but Sandra was very accommodating in rescheduling our trip. We would love to stay there again if we visit Auckland. The garden is spectacular and so are the sunsets. Highly recommended.

Beachlands

We loved our stay in Beachlands! It is such a relaxing place to stay with beautiful views. The house is charming and had everything we could need or want. Sandra was so easy to get hold of when we had questions. It was easy to get to Auckland via the Pine Harbour ferry which was just a 15 minute walk away. If we ever make it back to New Zealand we would love to stay again!

A Real Gem

We had a lovely week here on our visit from England. The accommodation is very spacious and there was plenty of space for four adults and two small children. The aspect from the garden is glorious with views of the sea but shade from the trees if needed. The house has real character and is very comfortable. We had a family party on our last night with four more adults joining us which worked really well. We would really recommend it.

Idyllic break away - relaxing, lovely bach

We loved staying at this beautiful home- just the right combination of ‘bachiness’ and creature comforts. It has beautiful views and fantastic access to a lovely beach. Truly relaxing.

Very homey and picturesque

Our whole team of kayakers participating in the 2017 World Master Games stayed at this fantastic beach front property and we all enjoyed every minute of our stay. Having the beach just below the property gave us easy access to daily paddles on the ocean, and we really enjoyed both the sunrises and sunsets from the window benches in the big room. Now that the new Countdown is open in Beachlands, there will be even less reasons to leave this dream spot. Easy access to downtown via the ferry saved us a lot of driving time through the stagnant traffic of Auckland in order to visit the hot spots of the old town. We came away with great memories of New Zealand. Thank you Sandra for making this beautiful property available ! I will definitely recommend this home to all my friends going to NZ. Private Paradise

We enjoyed a tremendous 10 days at this charming home. Four adults and 2 grandchildren were easily catered for in this spacious home. The window bench seating was a feature and a cosy place to relax on a chilly day. The outside entertainment areas were great with easy access to the beach. The owners have been very thoughtful in providing for every need including a toy box for the kids. Plenty of private facilities to cater for multiple couples. We highly recommend and would stay again when visiting Auckland.

New Zealand Oasis

Our family stayed at this beachfront home for 8 days and absolutely loved the homes location and accommodations. We absolutely loved the landscaping and ocean views from the living room and kitchen areas with the bench seats overlooking the deck being our favorite hangout area!!! The home was extremely peaceful and was within reasonable driving distance to Auckland while we were enrolling our daughter into the university. The home was as good or better than described on VRBO and owners Sandra and Kevin were fantastic to work with. We would highly recommend this home to anyway looking for a great vacation home value in New Zealand and we hope to stay again soon!

A real retreat - easy city access

We stayed at this place for a week two Adults and two kids (9, 10). From the first step into this place we felt welcome and relaxed. The location right by the beach and the decor is for us the perfect retreat. It quickly became a place where we both wanted to spend every minute of our stay and also from where we easily explored both nature and Auckland city. At the house we enjoyed the seaview from the spa and the "magic" couch-corner. The ferry is only 10 min. walk away and the ferry trip was a beautiful scenic route and a perfect start on our Auckland City sightseeing day. All in all an unforgetable experience to stay at this retreat!

Perfect home from home

The house was perfect for our stay in NZ, felt at home straight away & the children settled in immediately enjoying the garden, beach & hot tub. There is everything you could possibly need for comfort and convenience. We would definitely stay again.

Absolute bliss

What a lovely easter break, this house exudes calm and relaxation. It was a long weekend of swimming, spa, listening to the native birds in the trees, walking and exploring the area and chilling out on the window seat. I would highly recommend this immaculately kept property. It is a lovely place to spend a few days.

Beachlands Waterfront Retreat

Thanks Sandra, we had a fantastic time at your Beachlands retreat. You have thought of everything for both adults and kids to do no mater what the weather. We had 5 glorious days which helped but it didn't stop the kids playing the board games!! The location couldnt have been better either with a very short walk down to the beach. We will definitely be booking another break with you next year! Let me know if you ever want to sell ha, ha... We would defintely recommend staying here for local and overseas visitors, it's a gem!!

We had a fabulous, although brief, stay in Beachlands. This place surpassed all our expectations - 1/2 hour from the airport, right on the beach, 40 mins by car to Auckland. Really really cosy home. Lovely log fire for the evenings, all the home comforts, spacious rooms, great kitchen, spa pool, local shops, with a great butcher plus some general stores. Owner is lovely, very helpfull and knowledgable, though not intrusive at all. If you stay you'll love it.

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful time at the house. We did have a couple of off days and a very heavy thunder storm one evening. But the sea was so close and the use of the Kayak more than made up for this. We used the bbq on several occasions taking in the tranquility of the garden. The advantage of the shops, with a great butcher and a couple of general stores made it easier to bbq as the weather demanded. Beachlands it a beautiful spot and one that I would return to again and again. Our hostess was very friendly and offered some good advice during her welcome phone call.
