The place was very nice and in a great location. We did have a few issues upon arriving, but the host was responsive in trying to get them fixed.I would recommend staying here and would go back again.

The deck by the river was great, early mornings drinking coffee while watching 2 eagles sitting in a dead tree across the river take flight down the river looking for food. Kitchen was adequate, refrigerator small, but did the job for drinks and breakfast items.Comfortable stay for our trip to Bryson City to ride the trains, go to Clingman's Dome, and see the elk for a quick vacation.

The outside of the property was grown up and needed cutting. The railing on the steps was loose. Thankfully it was only a few steps. The back deck was nice in that it overlooked the river, but the flooring was very dirty, and there were spiderwebs and such everywhere. Weeds growing through railing and we kept waiting for wildlife (not the cute cuddly kind) to join us when we were sitting out there.The inside was okay mostly. Nothing was nasty, but there were a couple of issues. There was something on the upstairs bedspread. It looked It looked like maybe wood from the ceiling boards, but it could have been animal in nature. We didn't use that bed and didn't touch it. The ac kept the living room very cool, but it didn't do anything for the bedroom. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom but it only had one speed. There was also a stand fan, but they just couldn't do much with July heat. One thing we were very unhappy about was the lack of tv signal and no internet/wifi. We called the owner when we arrived and she said it had been knocked out the day before by a storm and it should be fixed the next day. We are not unreasonable and can understand that, however, we never heard another word. Were we expected to sit there during our vacation in case a repairman showed up??? We didn't think so. If someone had called and said they were coming on a certain day or time, we would have tried to be accommodating. Instead, we went from Monday through Friday with no tv or WiFi.

Overall our stay was wonderful. Very clean little cabin with an amazing view of the river. Had a few things that I messaged the owner about, like toilet seat slipping, kitchen light out and the storm doors lock got stuck when we locked it. Besides that everything was great and we would definitely go again.

Weekend away

My fiancée and I were looking for an affordable escape from the city, and this cabin was exactly what we needed. While we initially hoped it would be a bit more tucked away in the woods, it was incredibly peaceful—and being right on the water was such a treat! The cabin was clean, cozy, and relaxing, and the host was super communicative throughout our stay.

This place was immaculate. What a sweet little spot to stay in. Enjoy the ability to fish off the back porch and the location close to Town and the train was a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our nights there. Can’t wait to come back and stay again. Hope to be able to get this place again. It was just a wonderful little tiny cabin ride on the water and we loved it

The place smells. Take a candle to help. The shower curtain has mildew on it. The bit of yard it has needs to be mowed. The bed was very comfortable. I would not stay here again.
