ORO DEL SOL #18 is located in Playa Tamarindo, only 8 blocks (800m) from the beach and center of town in a very quiet residential area. This property offers all the comfort and the security you need at a very affordable price. This is a two story house . The dining room offers a very nice living area that opens on to a large terrace with private pool, overlooking a luscious tropical garden. There is a fully furnished kitchen with diswasher, 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, 3 ½ bathrooms with a new shower in the master bedroom in suite, laundry room, own private parking area and covered rancho with a BBQ grill. Oro del Sol #18 is absolutely private and quiet since it is off the main roads. We offer the lowest rates, please inquire for last minute deals! WiFi, A/C, alarm & safe are included! The house has 3 bedroom en suite. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a full bathroom and a new shower replacing the bathtub and a large covered private terrace. The two other bedrooms en suite are located downstairs, one on the pool side with queen bed, full bathroom with shower and the second one has 3 queen size beds also en suite with shower and full bathroom.

Oro del sol 18 now offers a honey suite with separate entrance next to the pool.

Fantastic place to stay while visiting Tamarindo!

We loved staying here at the house. Claudia and her team were very friendly and easy to work with. The house was huge, clean and well appointed. The pool is small but great to take a dip in, the patio was fun to lounge on. The walk to town isn't too bad, although we drove our car into town 90% of the time. The walk to Playa Langosta is a 3-4 block walk and very easy. Can't wait to come back to Costa Rica. Don't hesitate to rent this house , it is a 10 out of 10!

Ten Years Ago Probably Nice

While in a good location, our overall impression of this home is that it hasn't been updated or properly maintained in a very long time. However, it was priced the same as much newer homes in the same locale. It felt like the very minimum has been done to maintain the property. For the first 4 days the pool was more like a lagoon. It was cloudy and full of algae. The pool guy came everyday but didn't get it cleared up until the last day of our departure. When we arrived the floor was incredibly sticky with soap and I had to get the mop and re-wash it. There was a super-annoying, heavy and clunky manual entry gate that was very hard to open and close. The most disappointing part of our experience was when our rental surf board and other items where stolen from the yard inside the locked gate at night. The property management firm said we never should leave things outside at night even though we were behind a locked gate. It would have been nice if we were informed about possible theft beforehand. The bedroom were nice and spacious but the mattress' were very uncomfortable. The master bed upstairs sunk in the middle. This house has a lot of potential to be nice if it were a little better maintained.

Management is always available for our guests. The pool is cleaned day of arrival then 2 other times during their stay on a one week stay. We would never deliver a dirty pool. And if guests don’t report any issues we can’t do anything. If guests don’t rinse out prior swimming the pool will get blurry. Upon arrival all guests received welcome notes and safety notes they have to read and sign. It’s clear that when traveling in third word country guests must use common sense and never leave valuable outside specially near the gate. It’s written in the notes!!!! The gate opens manually and again we are always available in case of issues like you can read my gardener was around everyday and asking him to simply lubrificate the gate and it would have done the trick! It’s very dusty when windy and dust and sand gets in the railing. Those guests left the house absolutely dirty with sand and dirt everywhere even in the new sheets and towels but I didn’t want to say anything. What a way to kill a vacation rental guys way to go... Absolutely not happy with this review . How disappointing this one is specially with the hard work we do and low dates we offer.

my partner and our 6 16-22 yr daughters stayed on site... provisioning, golf cart, and surfing lessons all set up by Claudia in advance... seamless and easy for the most part given it was over the holiday season.... I would recommend the site to any family...

Tamarindo

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious house. Great location. We rented a car so we could go up and down the coast to visit other beaches. However, the beach in Tamarindo is not that far away; you could easily walk to it and stop off at local restaurants and grocery stores along the way. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Pool is clean. Claudia quickly responded to our needs.

Quiet villa with great pool

This villa is tucked away from all the action on the beach, but is still just a walk away. The pool is the best part. It was great to come back after the beach or a tour and cool off in the pool. Check-in was a little complicated; but after the initial confusion about where and who we were meeting, we were able to settle in just fine. The gate for the driveway is a little tough to operate, but we figured it out.

Hi Lori, thank you for your review, normally at checkin we proceed from the office and never at a house but we made an exception since your daughter was such in a rush to get there, we ask all guests to meet the office at a certain time and go from there except when guests book our private shuttle because it is so hard to find properties here with no addresses, you mention you would be fine since your daughter had what app and waze, I think that because we get a negative point on checkins from you that we will meet everyone at the office no exceptions from now on, I dont know anyone here in town, no manager meeting guests personally like we do, there is a few only doing that, instead they give maps and keys and send you a house hunt... we took time to personally check you in, proceed with a walk through of the house ...this should be appreciated, as for the garage door , it has new rollers and it is simple to open but it needs to be on the right side to open properly and gently slides , again thank you for staying with us.

Nice house needs better maintenance

The house is a quiet section of Tamarindo and is quite spacious and well designed. My main issue is the general maintenance. The main gate to park the cars is in bad shape and very hard to open and close. There were some basic utensils like spoons missing. For the price payed we expected more attention to detail.

Amazing house in Tamarindo!

We absolutely loved our stay! The pool was so much fun and a great way to have a quick cool off. The house had absolutely everything we needed. Beds comfortable, showers beautiful, kitchen fully equipt. We never once turned on a TV as the house and town kept us beyond entertained! Claudia was helpful in every way! My friends and I will never forget this trip to Costa Rica. Thank you so much Claudia for everything! Take care!

Spacious

We enjoyed the close proximity to all the shops, beaches and restaurants. The home itself was roomy and perfect for our group of 8. The only drawbacks were the faucet in the tub in the master bath was broken so we couldn't use it and the pool water looked murky. We stayed for 4 days and never saw the pool cleaner come by, however some people in our party still used the pool. It was very nice to have a safe lock box to store items.

Dear Veronica we strive to offer the perfect accommodation. I am sorry you feel your expectations were not reached. When we personally checked you in we gave you a welcome note with detailed on pool and garden services. Pool is always cleaned twice per week. Javier cleaned the pool twice during your 4 day stay. But when guests , in this case 8 people ,don’t take the time to rince off prior swimming there’s a possibility that the pool will become murky because of sunscreen and sand residue. As for the shower in the master bath tub it works perfectly. Same for the bathtub.... we are only a phone call away to answer any questions or issues you might of had during your stay. It would of been great to hear from you instead of writing this comments for future guests to see. We feel this review is unfair... Future guests please come and stay with us you won’t be dessapointed and will get a great house at a reasonable rate.

Very nice house located close to all the fun!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ora del Sol! The house was very nice and the kitchen was well stocked. The furniture was very comfortable inside and out. We all found the beds to be very comfortable. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and there was an additional half-bath located in the main hallway. The property management representative, Kate, was absolutely fantastic and helped us with getting settled and made some fantastic dining and tour recommendations. The house is situated on top of a very steep hill. You can definitely walk in to town, but this may be difficult to some. Taxi rides from this property to anywhere in town are a flat rate of $5 USD which made it very easy to get around when we didn't want to drive our car. We had a family of monkeys visit us in the backyard on two separate occasions along with lots of other creatures. The pool was very nice; however it only receives sunlight in the morning and very early afternoon, this wasn't an issue for us as we found it great fun all day and night. The house was in a very safe area. In addition, the house had a very nice alarm system and a safe. There are several restaurant and bar options that were incredibly tasty very close. We will be back!

amazing home amazing vacation awesome crew!

We are a family of 6, this was our first time renting a private home where we could cook, swim and do kind of stuff respecting our budget! Claudia and Samuel where attentive to our needs and Janine with her lovely smile book us tours, we had so much fun! 7 days was not enough, we shall come back next year, privacy of the house, close to the beach, secure and felt just like home and very welcome. Loved the monkeys and cows around, hated the iguana that came in and had to chase away!!!!! C.

Gorgeous Property in Tamarindo!

House was amazing, the photos do not do it justice! Functional A/C, huge kitchen, and lovely outdoor areas to enjoy food and beverages (there is a covered patio on the ground level and also a covered balcony on the second floor). The pool was lovely and clean and we did lots of sunbathing on the lawn in the comfy chairs (there are four). We were four graduate students on spring break and we had no trouble walking to the "party" at the various discos each night from this location. However, it's far enough and spacious and quiet enough to be perfect for a family. Very versatile property. Claudia and her husband were fantastic. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing time at this place, nice house and nice pool. We had our best down here and I would totally recommend this place. If you want some adventure during your vacation just ask the managers, they will show you the best option you have and the best tours.
