About this space
This 1940s Johns Island Cottage has been completely renovated to create a luxury getaway only 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and 20 minutes from Folly Beach! Gorgeous Live Oaks drape the huge private back yard and the large deck space is the perfect space to enjoy the nature of the Low Country!

We have tried to think of everything you will need to relax while you’re on vacation. Here’s what people say they love most about this home:

• Ultra plush KING memory foam mattress
• Roku smart TVs in living room and bedroom
• Beautiful back yard draped with Live Oak trees
• Great location close to neighborhood bars and restaurants

The single bedroom features a KING memory foam mattress and quality bed linens to get a great night’s rest! Both the living room and the bedroom have Roku 4k smart TVs so you can sign into your favorite streaming apps! There is also a HD digital antenna in the living room with all the network channels ready to go. The living room has a futon that can be utilized for an additional bed if needed and the dinette set is a great spot for meals or can be used as work space if working from home! In the bathroom we supply extra plush towels and luxury Gilchrist & Soames brand soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you will need to cook your favorite meals. We also supply a Keurig coffee maker and a few assorted pods. The large back deck has an additional table and chairs and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! There is also a stacked washer dryer unit in the bedroom for your convenience.

Parking for 2 vehicles only. Please note the driveway is shared with neighbor and can not be blocked at any time!

Guest have full access to the home except for the owner's cabinet in the bedroom.

Please note there is a motion camera on the front of the home that can record any motion in its field of view.

Fantastic

Lovely, immaculate one bedroom. Everything you need. Quiet location but only a few minutes from the shops, restaurants etc. Host was easy to contact and very helpful. Hope to come back soon!

Cute little cottage

Enjoyed our stay, perfect for a couples getaway! Made great use out of the limited square footage, very nice, private deck overlooking woods behind the house. Conveniently located to Charleston and surrounding areas without all the hustle and bustle.

Just What We Needed

This place was just what two older folks were looking for. We did not want to stay in the city and pay those high prices. A place we could have our morning coffee, a little bit of breakfast, and come back too for a good night's sleep. Everything worked as advertised and Gus is a great communicator

John’s Island Stay

The house was very clean and cozy! Having streaming options on the TV was perfect for watching Thanksgiving football, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook as well. It’s not too far from any of the big attractions and has plenty of options to choose from vacation wise!

Perfect stay in John’s Island/ Charleston trip

We loved this cute, convenient little house for our trip to Charleston. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The back porch opened up into a beautiful backyard. We watched a deer grazing as we had our morning coffee. Such a nice place to retreat after a busy day of fun.

Busy little Island

The house was clean and presented itself well according to the listing. The kitchen and bathroom stayed cold. The mini splits in the livingroom and bedroom kept everything above 18 inches above the floor warm. We enjoyed the screne view of he backyard. Everything we needed was close by..We liked h

The cottage was renovated at some point and looks okay. It was clean except the black mold in the bathroom and the other house on the property was unlivable and there was a tub thrown in the yard. Not worth the money.

we like the property and the location. It would help to have a larger table in the living room in case people wanted to use it as dining table or work desk.Although it doesn't affect the function, the house would look nicer if you power washed it.

Beautiful, clean cottage! Its recent renovation seems to me to have been done thoughtfully and skillfully. Loved being able to make our usual breakfasts in the full kitchen and the washer/dryer availability. We drove to Folly beach and downtown Charleston in less than 30 minutes from the cottage. Beautiful back yard. Small detail we really appreciated was how well the blinds and curtains worked, as we like feeling assured of privacy when we’re staying someplace new. AC worked great, which isn’t always a given at other rentals. Because I read a different comment about mold, I want to give my opinion: the only place where there might have been mildew/mold was in window in the shower (probably because it gets easily splashed with water). It didn’t bother us or affect our overall impression of the place in the slightest, and everything else was, truly, impeccably clean, but if someone were very sensitive to mold then I’d understand that being a concern. I saw another comment about the house that shares the driveway— the house next door seems to be undergoing active renovation, but we didn’t hear any noise or anything like that— felt safe because it was being worked on (ie, no chance of squatters) and weren’t bothered at all. No regrets here. The owners are doing a wonderful job and we’re so thankful!
