Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations due to unresolved issues that significantly affected our comfort.The listing advertises amenities such as air conditioning; however, this was not available in the cottage we were placed in. The host has two properties (a main house and a separate cottage), but the listing generalises amenities across both, which creates a misleading impression, as the cottage does not include some of the items advertised.Upon arrival, we also discovered that the washing machine was not operational, despite it being listed as an available amenity and having been confirmed by the host beforehand. This caused inconvenience for the duration of our stay.Additionally, during rainfall, water leaked through the door and pooled on the kitchen bench and flowed all the way into the lounge carpet, creating both a mess and a potential safety concern. This was particularly frustrating as it affected the living space and required constant attention.On check-in, there were also visible old spider webs around parts of the cottage, which gave the impression that the unit had not been properly cleaned or prepared before our arrival.lack of basic consumables. For example, we were told that only two rolls of toilet paper are “usually” provided and that the host would need to go and buy more if required. This was inconvenient and felt unreasonable for a stay of this length, as such essentials are generally expected to be adequately stocked before hosting again
