True to Tolkien's description, Lizardsniffer's Hobbit House is all about comfort and luxury. Whether you choose to sleep in the soothing Rivendell bedroom or enjoy your night adventure inside the Lonely Mountain bedroom, either way you will find yourself lost in MIddle Earth!

Get your hairy little feet dirty hiking the miles of trails on our 150 acre working horse farm! Then clean them off floating in our private stocked lake with a fishing pole on your lap.

Such a beautiful adventure awaits! The Hobbit house was a wonderful weekend escape for my husband and I. The daily walks, horse back riding, and rainy day LOTR movies with hot epson salt baths was the perfect getaway. Our 7 year anniversary was perfectly spent in this little hideaway.

What a perfect getaway! The Hobbit House was exactly what we needed to reset for the new year ahead. Finding the home well-stocked with coffee, tea, and staples was a bonus and a nice touch. We enjoyed meeting Randy and walking around the property. Very quiet. We can't wait to see what else he builds.

Such a warm welcoming place. My second time to visit. This time for a birthday present for my mom. Our host left out birthday decorations, it made her day. She is a big Hobbit fan, so this was amazing to her. The house is so cozy and great for a great away in nature. We had everything we needed the accommodations we great, we were even given a golf cart to explore the property. I highly recommend the Hobbit House.

Great place, great location 110% Recommended!

The pictures online don't do the place justice. The attention to detail and thematic thought that went into the Hobbit House was incredible. Randy and Lisa are wonderful hosts, quick to respond and friendly. The location is peaceful and relaxing. Certainly the most unique place we have ever stayed.

This place was amazing! It lived up to everything I was expecting. My boyfriend enjoyed riding around the different trails and just exploring. My puppy who went with us also loved running around the property checking out things. Everything was clean and the place itself was so well thought out! The bidet was a life changing experience. We had everything we needed and our host was quick to respond and even checked in to make sure we were happy with everything. As soon as our stay was over, we were looking to book another stay here!

This is our 3rd time at the hobbit house & we will continue coming. It is the perfect getaway for my wife & I, & our dog Cleo. The house is amazing with all the amenities & decor. there are areas to hike/walk around the property. It feels so secluded out here. Cleo has the opportunity to get her running in. But the best part are our host Randy & Lisa. They make you feel so welcome & anything you need all you do is ask. But they also leave you be & let you enjoy the experience. Can't wait to get back.

I go to northern Georgia and North Carolina every year and this place was the cleanest and nicest place l have ever been at. Great people running the peopert. This cabin looks amazing and we had never seen something like that before.beautiful trails and a lake for enjoyment. We will definitely go back soon.

I wanted an unforgettable vacation for my 3 kids and i this summer and the Lizard Sniffer Ranch did just that. We used everything we could at the property. My girls rode the golf cart around the trails and rode the horses. My son sat at Marvel and read comic books. The Hobbit House was so unique that the memories will last a lifetime and we will look forward to returning next year.

Magical birthday weekend

We had a wonderful stay at the Hobbit House! The detail in the design and decor were incredible. Randy was a welcoming, friendly host. We were surprised to be offered a golf cart to use for the duration of our stay. There were many wooded trails to explore and kayaks/boats to use in the lake. He even provided a birthday cake for our daughter, which was much appreciated!

Best Lord of Rings Escape

I booked this property as a surprise getaway for my husbandā€™s 30th birthday, and we had an absolute blast. He is a huge Lord of the Rings fan and enjoyed all the of creative decor, especially the hobbit door. Randy was also an amazing host! He was so quick to get back to you if you needed anything or had a question, We canā€™t wait to book again!

Review of the Shire

This was one of the best experiences weā€™ve had with renting a place. The place in itself is spectacular, with so many fun details not included in the pictures online. The property is full of adventures including horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, and riding around on a golf cart. Randy and his wife went above and beyond to make it a great experience. We will definitely be coming back again! It is so worth every penny to stay here!

Unique Experience

We stayed at the hobbit house while we attended the Masters Tournament. The drive to Augusta, GA was about 45 minutes. Although we didn't have a lot of time to thoroughly enjoy the hobbit house, the peaceful atmosphere was what we needed after a busy day! The two king size beds were very comfortable & perfect for 2 couples. It was a unique experience that we will never forget. The attention to detail was unmatched! Thank you!

hobbit house

The hobbit house is very unique as it makes you feel your in the real place. Although it looks like you would expect it to, inside the amenities are great. From the decor & spa tub to everything you need in the kitchen this place is amazing. This was our 2nd time staying here & hopefully there will be a next time. Also a great place for our dog as well. Great privacy too. They have many other places to rent all throughout their property.Randy & Lisa are super host. The best I've ever had. They are there if you need anything or just want to here some good stories.

The hobbit house

Everything was excellent. Our host Randy couldnā€™t have been more accommodating. The hobbit house both inside and out was amazing. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. Attention to detail & the cleanliness was fantastic., there was a lot of hiking on the property and a great place for our little dog to wonder around wherever she wanted to go. I will tell everyone I know about it and hope they could get by to see it one day. There were more cabins on the property, and they all looked great as well. Hope to get back again.

A Hobbit hole means Comfort

We arrived late due to air and ground transport delays. Randy was concerned and kind and wished us safe travels. We were thankful for the comfortable bed and quiet when we finally arrived. We found the space well appointed, a little quirky and cool. There isn't much natural light, as you would expect, but the Rivendell room window is a beacon in the daylight. Springtime is lovely in this Georgia "Shire". We roamed the grounds, visited the animals and took in the lake sunsets. Thank you, Randy, for a hobbit's retreat!

This was our fourth visit to the hobbit house and every time it is awesome. from the hosts to the cabins/cottages to the property everything is a 10. Weā€™ll be back again at some point. Also, great for our puppy a lot of hiking a lot of exploring canā€™t say enough good things.
