Make this lovely apartment your “home away from home” facing the Caribbean Sea. Your affordable hideaway in the landscaped, tropical gardens a few feet from the beach! Just kickback, relax, soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful turquoise water of the Caribbean! This is for individuals who want peace and relaxation. If you feel like any of the many activities of nearby Dickenson Bay, just take a 10 minute stroll over there and enjoy the different bars/restaurants, grocery and gift shopping, water sports and scuba. St. John's and Cedar Valley Golf Club are less than 10 minutes drive away, while V.C. Bird International Airport is only a few more minutes. 2 large supermarkets are also only a few minutes drive.

The two bed/ bath apartment at this delightful beach front property is spacious, attractively furnished and right on the beach! It has a spacious living/dining room, fully equipped kitchenette and wide patio looking straight on to the Caribbean sea. In addition to the consistent tradewinds Runaway Bay normally has, the apartment has ceiling fans and optional a/c in the bedroom(s) - small extra charge.
For the traveler in search of a truly relaxed setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the “all inclusives”and cruise ship crowds, but not too far away - this is the answer!

Great location

Great location right on the beach. The beach was beautiful and it felt like a private beach for most of the time we were there. The room was as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just got back from an amazing trip to Antigua!! Barrymore was the perfect place to stay while there. The location was perfect. Right on the beach with a beautiful view (#7 is the best one to stay in) Some of the prettiest waters and beach. This is a quiet location. Having a restaurant right in the proper was perfect as well. The staff at Barrymore were great and helpful. Thanks for a great place to stay for our vacation.

Property was just as advertised. Great location with an awesome beach right in front of the apartment. Sit on the spacious deck and watch the waves roll in not to mention the amazing sunsets. We loved it and wish we could've stayed longer. Only downside was the cloudy weather.

A wonderful stay and a gem!

This apartment is a true gem - right on the beach with the most amazing view. We found this beach the best that we visited on the island - crystal clear waters with white sand. The apartment itself was really charming, clean and very comfortable. The service was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. If you want to stay in a place that does not feel overly commerical this is the place to stay!

Amazing

As you open the door to the apartment, the view is stunning. Sitting on the beach, any time of the day is like having your own piece of paradise. The water is crystal clear, soft yellow sand, a few passing boats and cocktails on the beach. Perfect! All the staff were friendly and helpful. A special mention to Gavin! The birds did serenade us every morning from just after 6am, so it was an early start. Wouldn't put us off going back again though. We loved it.

Best vacation ever!

There was nothing upscale about the place but it was PERFECT! The apartment was very clean, cozy and complete in basic amenities. The décor is neutral and the architecture quite impressive with wooden jalousies, large veranda, Romeo and Juliet porch in the bedrooms and vaulted ceilings. What makes the place make you want to return (and there are very few places that make you want to do that) is twofold – 1) amazing staff (especially Angela and Jerry) and b) unbelievable ocean views from the apartment. The beach is so private and peaceful – no tourists except for the occasional restaurant guests at nearby Bussola's (expensive Italian Restaurant). From the apartment one hears the endless sound of gently crashing waves and birds day and night - and sometimes laughter from happy restaurant guests. The blue green waters are so beautiful for swimming as if it is energized with healing powers. I was sooo happy there and totally renewed upon my return to New York. Thank you Brian and staff.

Beautiful, Quiet, Property on Runaway Bay

This does not quite do the landscaping and property accurately. The landscaping is beautiful and kept up daily by a remarkable, friendly groundskeeper! The beach is adequate but falling into the ocean due to a past hurricane. Don't let that stop you! It has a beautiful view (especially for sunsets), the water is warm and lovely and there is plenty of space to lay out and enjoy the peace and quiet. The owner, Brian Gordon is a very friendly, accomodating owner. If you ask, you shall receive. The apartment we stayed in was a corner apt and had nice breezes and missed the full sun of the late afternoon. The apartment was cute and plenty spacious, but slightly run down. A good paint job and fixing up the showerhead in the master bath would be a big help. For the amount that Brian is charging, this is a great deal. The property, the quiet and the close proximity to Dickenson Bay makes it worth your while. Don't expect luxury, just some pretty property, quiet, and the best restaraunt in town. I'm not kidding.... La Bussola is the absolute best place to eat in Antigua. Christian and Michael and the chef and waitresses have us rate this establishment, the best in the Caribbean that we have found. From fish to pasta to pizza, it is fantastic. Peppers on Dickenson Bay is another place we loved. Good food, good staff, beautiful views! I would recommend this property to anyone who is just looking for a comfortable place to stay with no frills. I would also recommend bringing some mosquito spray and that's for any place on the island. .

Fantastic Property and Location!

This property offer a great location next a beautiful beach, onsite great restaurant and near all attractions. The unit was very clean and well equipped. The host and onsite staff responsive and very helpful. Great place to relax and a great value for your money. I cant wait to come back!

Absolutely the most perfect place on the island to stay

Thank you to Brian and your staff for a great week of vacation. Your accommodations were perfect for what we needed, the location was the best of any we saw on the island, and the quiet beach was superb. If you are looking for a "get away from it all" vacation spot that isn't busy yet still close to everything you could possibly need including tons of great restaurants and sites then look no further than the Barrymore Beach Apartments. I highly recommend renting a car to see the island, although prepare yourself for the roads, they aren't great (but by the end of the trip added to the uniqueness of the island). I can't say enough great things. Thank you and see you next year!

A verry nice place on Antigua

The contact with Brian was nice and uncomplicated, thank you. As we arrived on Antigua the lady from the car rental was already waiting of us and showed us the car. After signature of the rental agreement she drove ahead and brought us to our accommodation, that was a nice touch from her. After looking for some we found Jeremiah, he showed us the facility, apartment, rooms, machines and so on and gave us the keys and a phone number for calling in case of need. Many thanks to Jeremiah and Linda for all their help and support, it was always a pleasure to converse with them. The apartment is part of a nice and well maintained complex with some small houses. Certainly not the newest style, but we found it is lovely and for 4 persons we found all the neccessary. The view from the balcony to the sea was wonderful and we enjoyed the beach, a nice quiet place most of the time only for us. A tip for a trip, snorkeling with the stingrays and a visit in English Harbour.
