Deerwood Station- Relax in Our Beautiful Guest Cabin!

Deerwood Station Guest Cabin is a beautiful family owned cabin located on the Deerwood Ranch. The cabin sits on the banks of the Middle Fork of the Little Laramie River. Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout inhabit the river. Our guests can just relax on the deck and enjoy the scenery or they can hike and fish on the property or cross country ski in the winter. The ranch is a Wild Horse Eco-Sanctuary so wild horse viewing is available. Wild Horse tours take place mid May-September. The tours take place Tuesday-Saturday. The tours typically last about 2 hours. They fill up fast so buy tickets on SimpleTix.com as soon as possible. Ticketing venue is set up in April. You can purchase tickets at that time.

The cabin sleeps up to seven people. Please add the correct number of guests to the reservation. Two people are charged differently than a family of five. We appreciate honesty!

We do have a strict no-refund policy. A date change request can be sent 30 days prior to check-in. The date change must be requested within the same calendar year as the original booking.

WOW!!! What a beautiful experience. Host Jana couldnt have been more gracious and informative! This cabin is so spectacular i can't wait to return and the wild horses were so amazing to see! We were somewhat snowed in, but enjoyed playing games, eating and laughing! This cabin and ranch are one in a million and i'm so glad to experience it! thank you so much!

The cabin was very private, well stocked and decorated. The beauty of the property was wonderful ! Loved hearing all the animal noises throughout my stay. The hosts Jana & Richard were delightful. The highlight for me was the wild horse tour. They did a great job sharing their knowledge of the horses & property. I'm looking forward to another visit to this property.

I booked this cabin for my girlfriend's 25th birthday. It was beautiful! The owners were lovely. The cabin is beautifully built and decorated. We also bought tickets for the horse tour which was a great experience. These folks have a lovely ranch, and it was a delight to spend a few days on it.

Best getaway yet! Slice of heaven in the valley by the mountains. All the amenities were top-notch, all while enjoying a rustic stay. The cabin is super comfortable with beautiful creek just outside that you can enjoy on the large covered deck while you grill your supper and then enjoy some s’mores over the open campfire.

A beautiful cabin with charm. The creek was 20 feet off the bac porch and was winding over rocks which created an amazing soundtrack for our stay. We enjoyed watching the horses, cattle, donkies and even a mother moose with her 2 offspring (which we gave plenty of room knowing how dangerous that situation could have been). The cabin has a nice kitchen with eat in dining table. Everything has been curated.

Deerwood Station was an absolutely perfect getaway for my small family and I. Nestled in a small town of Wyoming was our little cabin- clean, well stocked with supplies, and western theme decorated. The wild mustangs were beautiful to see in person, and a once in a lifetime experience for us Midwesterner’s. The hosts were very gracious and had accommodated an early check-in, and even gave us some tips on local attractions including Jubilee days. The hometown rodeos ended up being some of our favorite memories from this trip. A short drive from the cabin was Centennial, home of the famous bucking horses, and had a coffee shop and ice cream shop that made the most delicious homemade rhubarb ice cream. I highly recommend this cabin and host.

The entire property is very well kept; the cabin was very clean and well appointed; and the owners are delightful. Be sure to take the tour of the sanctuary. We took ours with Rich, the owner, and learned so much about the horses, the process with the BLM, and much more; and we really enjoyed getting up close with the ‘wildies’ and learning about their behaviors.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We love staying here at the Deerwood Guest house. Richard and Jana are wonderful host and the peace and quiet is what we enjoy. The location is beautiful and it is a favorite place of ours to stay. We will be back.

We stayed a week at the Deerwood Station--3rd time here and had another great stay. Saw Fox, moose, lopers, deer, cranes and more all on property. Deerwood was a comfortable homebase for day hikes into Med Bow. Cant thank Jana & Rich enough.

Another great stay

We first visited in 2022 and have come every spring break since to ski with the kids. We always have a great time. The cabin is very well stocked and a cozy place to relax. Our kids love the cabin and love seeing all the horses on the road in.

Heaven on a ranch

This was a bucket list stay for us! We could not be happier. Exactly as described and pictured…..and the pictures don’t even do justice. Absolute stunning setting and location. Sure hope to make it back from Florida again one day. Thank you Jana! Your family is so special.

We have lived on the ranch for 39. We are lucky enough to get to own the family ranch. We have three kids who help us out whenever possible. The ranch is a family venture! The Deerwood Ranch is now a Wild Horse Eco-Sanctuary. Wild Horse viewing is available.

The Deerwood Ranch has been in our family since 1982. The Centennial Valley is one of the most scenic landscapes we have ever seen. Falling in love with this country is easy to do!

While staying at the cabin our guests can walk, hike, fish, take a ranch tour, mountain bike, cross country ski and enjoy their beautiful mountain surroundings. Photographers will be thrilled with the photo opportunities. We have a firepit in the yard so campfires are enjoyed by many. The cabin sits on the bank of the Middle Fork of the Little Laramie River. Let the sounds of the river lull you to sleep at night with your window open to breathe the fresh mountain air. As of October, 2012 we are a wild horse eco-sanctuary. Guests can enjoy viewing the horses, from a distance and seeing them in their natural surroundings. We also have deer, elk, antelope, moose, fox, coyotes and other animals that might be seen while out sightseeing. if you are staying at the cabin May-September we do offer wild horse tours.
