Peacefully nestled on the banks of the Vermilion River, Bayou Rose awaits your visit to the beautiful historical district of Abbeville. Our private adult only cottage is located in the heart of Cajun Country with our many festivals and seafood restaurants. A tranquil,serene atmosphere where one can watch the ducks and barges as they make their way down the river.Listening to the comforting sounds of birds singing or the church bells ringing from up river as you sip your morning coffee on the porch or private wharf overlooking the river.

Full amenities include aromatherapy soaps, a complimentary basket with a variety of continental breakfast items for duration of your stay, coffee, milk, juice and water is also complimentary. And let's not forget a complimentary serving of Cajun BOUDIN! Cook up your own Cajun breakfast in your fully stocked kitchen with access to a BBQ grill overlooking the Vermilion River.

Our one bedroom private cottage has a queen size bed in bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in living room. Full size tub and shower complete with washer and dryer. Detergent is complimentary. Living room and kitchen area has floor to ceiling views of the Vermilion River. Central air and heat, ceiling fans throughout makes our cottage comfortable year round.

We are 15 minutes from Lafayette, 90 minutes from Baton Rouge, 2 1/2 hours from New Orleans making day trips easy. Come and enjoy the many fine restaurants in our quaint little town and the many festivals that are never ending.

Arrive by vehicle, plane or boat. Good times on the bayou await you at Bayou Rose. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Anne and Mike were excellent hosts. The one bedroom house was next door to their home but felt completely private. The view of the bayou was peaceful and the location convenient to the charming Abbeville town center as well as al the other Cajun communities.

This was our second stay at Bayou Rose, and we will return! If youā€™re looking for a clean, comfortable little cottage with the perfect porch for rocking while you sip your coffee (or wine!), this is it. The kitchen is well-equipped, and Ann is very attentive. Itā€™s just like staying with family, but you have the place to yourself!

Beautiful and Cozy Cottage

We loved our stay here. It was incredibly cozy and has such a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a homey and relaxing place to stay in the area.

40th Anniversary Celebration

My wife and I had a weekend to spend here at Anne and Mikeā€™s little house. Weā€™ve rented these types of B&Bā€™s many times. I can say this, you wonā€™t find any house more stocked up than this one. If youā€™re looking for something you need and canā€™t find it, youā€™re not looking hard enough. A fantastic place. Food, culture, atmosphere and beauty, itā€™s all here. Great host and a great place. Two regrets. Didnā€™t go sooner and didnā€™t stay longer.

Anne and Mike made us feel like we were staying with family during our stay at the cabin for a family wedding. The cottage is just precious and perfect for a get away from everyday life! The highlight for us was the porch which faces the Vermilion River, the perfect place to sit peacefully and enjoy the local wildlife. We also really enjoyed meeting the owners!

Fantastic Getaway

Home away from home

Anne and Michael were amazing hosts, who made sure we had everything we needed. They were right next door to us and made it clear to contact them if we needed ANYTHING! Anne was also like a second mother to us young adults who made sure we were safe when we were exploring Louisiana and even before our vacation started and once we were on our way home as well!
