Getaway at this Charming Family Cottage

Love the feel of an old historic home, but with all the modern-day conveniences? If so, then this charming and recently restored 80-year-old cottage is the one for you!

Upon walking in the back door just off the driveway, you will be welcomed into a warm entry way where our guest booklet is located. We hope that this booklet will help to answer any further questions you may have during your stay! Once inside, guests will find the original tongue-and-groove in multiple rooms, as well as many of the larger baseboards, doors, and antique knobs! To the right is your laundry room and to the left is an all-new kitchen for all of your cooking needs, including a coffee bar that's perfect for any coffee lover!

After exiting the kitchen, you will enter a spacious dining area with a table that offers plenty of seating for all, as well as an antique desk perfect for a cozy workspace. Behind the door off of the dining area is a gorgeous powder room which sits beside the main bathroom and its original cast iron tub.

Just up the stairs is a cozy reading nook area and two guest bedrooms. The left upstairs bedroom features 2 twin beds and a giant beanbag. The right bedroom is equally as cozy and has a spacious queen bed ready for any tired guests.

Back down the stairs and continuing through the dining area, sits a beautiful living room with a brand-new gas fireplace, smart tv, and a vintage game console that offers fun for all ages! Off the living room is the beautiful front porch, perfect for your morning coffee.

The primary bedroom off of the living room features a luxurious king bed, walk-in closet, and your own smart tv. Through the master you will find your own en suite bathroom complete with an oversized shower with a rain shower head.

This charming and historic home has seen a huge facelift over the past few years. These updates include; all new paint, a new roof, new windows, and new flooring throughout making it completely warm and inviting. The backyard is perfect for kids and families of all ages to grill out, BBQ, and enjoy a relaxing fire with cherished friends and loved ones. You don't want to miss out on this charming cottage located only a few minutes walk from Chickamauga lake.

Truly Nice

We came into Dayton for a wedding. We were looking for a property which could house us and two of our adult children along with spouses. The home was fantastic. We truly appreciated the blend of new and old which makes the home as well as our stay pleasant.

Time at Bryan Hill Cottage

My time at Bryan Hill Cottage was delightful! It has a charming and cozy feel that is perfect for a relaxing get away! The home was fully stocked for my stay along with a variety of coffees and teas. The arcade gaming table in the living room was so fun to play and a super cool feature in the home. The owners were lovely, I was very thankful for my stay!

Perfect for Weekend Getaway

We visited the area for a festival and picked this location since it was in-town and close to the festival. We stayed with some friends, and it worked out perfectly. This property was clean and clearly renovated. The furniture was tasteful and not cluttered (just what you needed for your visit). The AC worked well and the rainfall shower in the master bathroom was too relaxing (spent too much time in there). We did not use all the facilities available, because we were out most of the time (the kitchen, laundry, or firepit), but everything was top notch and had things like pods/equipment ready if needed. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was of good quality. Not much more I can say but this is a 5-star rental for a few friends or families with children.

Cute and Quaint

Absolutely loved the vibe of this house. It was perfect for the three of us, but could have easily handled 3 couples or 6 close friends. Seemed to also be good for a couple kiddos and a couple. Very clean. Owners were wonderful and friendly and very communicative. Cute and quaint place to come “home” to after a long day.

Charming

This house is adorable! The decor is 10/10, but the small details really add to your stay. They provide quality toiletries, laundry detergent, and good toilet paper(not the cheap stuff). They have nice towels and bedding and have hotel style locks on the bedroom doors. Everything you need for the fire pit is in the garage. The property is well lit at night for safety and convenience.

Very homey.

I have no complains at all about staying here. The place reminds me of my grandparents house. The house is very comfortable and quite. My wife loved the older look of things and the house also being 80 percent original structure with modern fixtures. It was an enjoyable stay and i would certainly stay here again. It is in a good area with access to anything you need. Kyle and Anne have thought of just about everything to make your stay pleasant.

Dreamy cottage

We have traveled over the years and have visited lots of rental properties. I must say that this would be at the very top of our list. This cottage has been revamped into a beautiful welcoming venue for anyone to stay in. It’s in the heart of Dayton Tennessee. Access to everywhere you want to be in that area. It’s perfectly allocated with everything you would need for a short term or long-term stay. The owners are quick to respond and are transparent about all costs. The property is meticulously cleaned, organized, and outfitted for any visit you might have. The amenities that they offer for grilling or preparing a meal in the kitchen are second to none. The decor is very charming as well as contemporary. Lots of personal touches everywhere that make it feel like a second home while you’re on vacation..

Amazing House With Everything you need in Dayton

We absolutely loved everything about this property and our stay here, we were there for 4 nights. Its newly renovated and in great shape. Large back yard for our small dog to use. Easy to find and access. Its very close to the heart of downtown Dayton. All in all, there is probably nothing close to this level of personal property for rent in the Dayton area, I would always choose to stay here when I return if its available, and if you are debating between two choices I can tell you right now, pick this home! What I enjoyed the most was all of the excellent thoughtful touches throughout the home. It was very clear that someone took the time to think through everything and chose lovely amenities, like high quality tea bags, curated quality soaps and self care items, abundant laundry pods, and so many great fluffy towels! The kitchen was fully equipped with pot holders, towels, and utensils. My husband especially enjoyed the powerful AC unit and all the ceiling fans! We both loved the extremely comfortable bed and cozy linens and warm duvet/comforter. And the shower with the rain head is perfection. Every time a thought of something I needed occurred to me, it was already there and available! The house is also lovingly decorated and the theme is modern amenities but cozy farmhouse country, they captured it perfectly. Thank you to the hosts for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable, the trip would not have been as fun without this home.

We are Kyle & Anne Marie Smith. Since January of 2020, we have been the owners of our own property management company that serves the greater Dayton, TN area. Although we are new to the short-term rental (STR) space, we pride ourselves on our customer service and the quality of our property management. So, when it came to starting a short-term rental it felt like a natural step, especially when it could be a family affair.

It's hard to imagine, but this 80-year-old home looked nothing like it does now! We took on this house with an old-meets-new charm and changed many of the unsafe and out-of-date style and safety features while still trying to keep a lot of the original charm of the property (the baseboards, doors, tub, and tongue-and-groove). My mom and I made all the design decisions while my dad and Kyle tackled construction (along with the help of other licensed professionals).

We made so many memories working on this home to make it perfect for you, and we hope you make just as many memories during your stay!

Only minutes from Chickamauga Lake and historic downtown Dayton, this house features something perfect for everyone.
