SILVER CREEK - HOME OF NIGHT SKIING AND THE TUBING HILL

Save the extra dollars and enjoy our slopeside studio. All the essentials you'll need are available to you when you lodge at Silver Creek.

This is Snowshoe’s best kept secret with fewer crowds and shorter lift lines compared to Snowshoe. If you have been to Snowshoe on a weekend or over the holidays (Christmas, President’s Day, MLK) you know what I am talking about. At Silver Creek your lift ticket (lift ticket also good at Snowshoe) is good from 9am to 9pm on Saturday/Sunday/holidays and from 12pm-9pm Monday through Friday, whereas Snowshoe lifts close at 4:30pm. So maximize your ski time and discover Silver Creek.

Silver Creek 2212 is clean and with the full oven you are able to bring and prepare your meals in the condo which will save you a lot of money. I have found that done the right way you can really reduce the cost of a ski vacation — booking through VRBO, preparing your own meals, purchasing discounted lift tickets by either multi-day through the mountain or at local ski shops.

Our teenage boys and I have a blast snowboarding Silver Creek. We really like the three terrain parks which are built for all levels (beginner, intermediate, expert). Snowshoe’s only night skiing and tubing hill are located at Silver Creek. The benefits of 2212 Silver Creek include ski-in/ski-out access, slopeside view, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs, sauna, front desk check-in, The Locker Room Sports Bar and Restaurant, ski rental in the lodge, general store, ski school and snowboarding lessons for all ages and levels. Silver Creek offers a great all-around family atmosphere.

One footnote is that this is a family style lodge (nothing fancy) that offers a good value for the price. Those looking for more of a resort style experience (more emphasis on amenities than skiing) it may be best to stay at the Village in Snowshoe. Also cell service is very poor/non-existent in the mountains and the WiFi can be inconsistent.

Weekend bookings must include Friday and Saturday night rentals.

Short Ski Weekend

The location was great. With the free shuttle we could ski the morning at Snowshoe, then come back, take a break at the room and go explore Silver Creek as late as we wanted with the night skiing. The access to the indoor and outdoor hot tubs was also a plus after a day on the slopes. The room was clean and quiet, and it had all the amenities we needed for our trip.

Nice room, easy access

The studio was well-appointed and served the two of us well. We appreciated the restaurant and hot tub/sauna in the building. The Silver Creek staff were quite friendly. The owner was terrific in reaching out before and after our stay.

Lovely, clean studio

The studio was a great use of a small space. My daughter and I enjoyed it a lot. Very clean, nicely equipped, and perfect for a ski weekend. 100% would stay again.

Great location to Silver Creek slopes

Staying at the Silver Creek location is convenient for accessing less crowded runs and night skiing. The galley kitchen is perfect for warming up chili and cooking breakfast, and the restaurant downstairs is handy for a drink, burger and fries. The unit was comfortable for two; the Murphy bed was a handy use of space.

Convenient location

Room is a studio with Murphy bed. It was clean and warm even at 2 degrees overnight. The building lobby is warm too. First Run is good for breakfast.Silver Creek is about 2.3 miles from Powder Hound / Western Territory lifts. Shuttle (6am-12am) is the way to go between SC and the Village. SC ski area is 12pm-9pm whereas Snowshoe Basin and Western Territory is 9am-4:15pm.Western Terr, is really the only expert terrain (Shay's Revenge and Cupp Run 1450' vertical 15-28 degree pitch). Snowshoe has great snow and lots Green and Blue runs. Good for families and beginner/ intermediate skiers. It was 4.5 hours from DC in the snow with snow tires. Once off I-81 it can vary a lot after a big snowfall.Not property owner Richard's fault, but Silver Creek Condo association contractors did not do a good job removing snow from lot. Over 30" of snow Jan. 6th-9th People had to shovel out snow banks, left by plow, behind cars to get out of spaces. Even 4 wheel drive trucks were spinning all 4 wheels.

perfect location

This room was great, and the location was amazing. We could walk right outside to play. Once we parked the car after check in, we didn't have to move it until we left.

Cozy and easy

The prices to rent was easy. The check in was great! The property manager sent me an email with a door code and the parking pass. I didn't even have to go by the front desk. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The fridge keeps the beer nice and cold, too. 10 out of 10

Great studio for a ski weekend

This studio is a great option for 2-3 people looking for a convenient option for a ski trip to Snowshoe. It is on the second floor of Silver Creek lodge (easy access in and out) and looks directly out on the slopes of Silver Creek. The unit is a small studio, but was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and and relax after a day of skiing at Snowshoe. It's also a great option if you want night skiing at Silver Creek, as it is literally steps away from the slopes. There is a sports bar on the ground floor for apres ski and a game area for kids or teenagers. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries. I recommend this rental for a small, no-frills option for those who plan to spend most of their day on the slopes!

Cozy and a great value!

Had a great time here. Was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. Richard was always quick to respond to any questions we had and even had some great tips for avoiding lift lines so we could get as much skiing in as possible. As a snowshoe regular who hadnt tried silver creek yet I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to coming back next year.

Best spot on the mountain, great communication!

Absolutely perfect! My family and I were originally scheduled to book the room the week before Christmas but had to reschedule due to an emergency. Richard was so gracious about the reschedule and extremely helpful. He had us rebooked on new dates in January almost immediately! His communication was outstanding. Everything was outlined perfectly for our trip and really took the worry out of the lodging. The room itself was again, perfect! The room was in a great location on the second floor, extremely clean, and easy to navigate for essentials. The room faces the slopes at Silver Creek which was a treat with great views of the mountain! We truly had a great stay! We will definitely be checking Richards's listings first for our next visit!

We are the Ward Family from Virginia Beach who discovered Snowshoe in 2008 while searching for a resort to ski with our two young boys, Charles and Jonathan. After deciding to purchase a condo I researched all of the slopeside units available. Once we looked at Silver Creek Lodge it was a easy decision.

We wanted a comfortable slopeside place where we could prepare our own meals and get a good nights sleep. We also wanted front desk check-in along with a full-time maintenance staff.

One thing we really enjoy at Silver Creek is the wider slopes and short lift lines. We are always the first ones on the slopes where it feels like our own private mountain.
