The Traveler is a great place to stay when visiting Tazewell. The unit was clean, updated with new appliances and furniture. We had everything we could need! It’s also walking distance to both the Wayfarer and Back of the dragon!

Perfect location and lodging!

Beautiful ! Modern, clean, quiet and very convenient location. Well furnished and everything you need in the kitchen including furnished coffee and creamer. Great parking for motorcycles!!! Would definitely stay here again!!

We loved the place very very nice. Just wish there was more places to go to in the little town such as restaurants with full bars only one. 3 with beer and wine

Hi Raymond, Thank you for the great review of The Traveler on Main! We are a small town, and now have 3 restaurants with a full bar on Main Street including the Front Porch, Old VA Chop House and Bee'Noodled. The Back of the Dragon Brewery and the Happy Goat have a great selection of Beer and Wine and don't forget The Well with their awesome coffee! Not too shabby for a town of only 4,000 folks. All the best to you and we hope you come back in the future and see how much we have grown!

We had an excellent stay! The apartments were nice and roomy, beds were super comfy. The apartment was fully furnished too.. pots & pans, full size fridge, stove and oven too! No need to eat out for every meal. Felt like a home away from home. Very comfy, very welcoming. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Great adventurous weekend!

We loved it. We rode the Back of the Dragon and then we rode another route that is a lot less less traveled. Rt 91. I will say. I ride we great riders they made the almost 10 mile trek up and down a gravel road with lots of switch backs. Great time. We will be booking againnext July. Thanks for everything. Iron Horse Clan, motorcycle riding veterans and supporters.

Awesome apartments!

If you’re headed down to Taswell area, you definitely want to book these apartments. The reason I called my apartment. It’s because they have a full refrigerator, stove, coffee maker cabinets and utensils. The location is spectacular and the insides are beautiful. They were done with top-notch contractors and very recently as in this year, I really like the big shower and the large living room in the unit that we had in suite one. Thank you, Beth and everybody from the back of the Dragon for building this spectacular location for us to stay in. Anybody who would want to stay in the area should stay here .
