Nice newly renovated House near The smallest town in the world Hum

This newly renovated authentic Istrian stone house is located on the historical and cultural center of north Istria just few kilometers from the smallest town of the world - Hum. House Morus was built at the end of 19th century and completely renovated in the year 2013 with a successful combination of traditional Istrian arhitecture and modern furniture. The house has a large garden over 10000m2 with private pool of 24m2 and fruits and olive Covered terrace and Istrian traditional private tavern perfect shelter from warm summer days.

On the ground floor is fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room with Sat - TV. On the same floor are two bedrooms – one with double bed and one bedroom with bunk beds. We can offer you extra bed for two persons in living area. Here is also fully equipped bathroom with shower. Whole area is covered with unlimited WI-FI.

House Morus is family-friendly house for 6 person and offers you freedom, relaxation and joy for whole family. Just few kilometers from the House are two Istrian traditional restaurant with great atmosphere and even better dishes and drinks, one in Hum and one in Rocko polje. You can feel true nature and freedom riding or just admiring horses – horse ranch is situated aprox. 4km away from House. In 10min driving by car you can reach numerous natural, historical and cultural “must see” places as Roc, Hum (the smalles town in the world), Kotli (waterfalls and mills), Buzet, Draguc. If you are interest for recreation, climbing, paragliding, enduro, treking, MTB is very popular in our area

Owners' mission is that guests feel completely satisfied and relaxed during their stay so they are on your disposal if you have any question or if you just want to have some company and meet them better. Owners have their own flat on the second floor of the House so sometimes they will be there during their vacations. You are welcome!

Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man Interesse an Land und Leuten in Kroatien hat. Ruhe und Erholung. Unglaublich gastfreundlich und herzlich. Alles super sauber. Toller Pool. Traumhafte Landschaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren etwas traurig, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren. :)

We have just stayed 11 days in House Morus and we wished we could have stayed much longer. The day we arrived the Family with Mario, Mira and Jelena served us an amazing dinner with wine and drinks for the kids. That was so thoughtful and lovely. We have choosen that place because we wanted it quiet and that’s what it is. The village is very small, just a couple of houses and only countryside araound. The next bigger town is Buzet where you can shop ( Plodine and DM and more) and eat. Hum, that beautiful smallest town of the world is 10 minutes away. The house has a clean pool and you just relax and read a book. The hosts are so unbelievable friendly and Mario has great stories to tell as he went to sea. They understand when you want to be yourself and when you want the company. For us both ways worked perfectly. We all had a BBQ together and a very nice last night. Mira gave us fresh vegetables from their garden and other things when we needed it. Jelena ( daughter of Mario and Mira) has 2 daughters that played with our daughter. And for animal lovers there are the neighbors dogs and cat that maybe come around. The apartment is clean, has mosquito nets, an AC and all the equipment you need. To the next beach you drive 30- 45 minutes (east cost). To Labin also 45 minutes. For people who don’t need the beach every day and maybe like bike riding it’s perfect here. We rented a boat in Rabac. We have been to Croatia the first time and this was a perfect start. Thank you!

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in dieser schönen Ferienwohnung. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und bietet alles was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Auch war sie angenehm kühl, sodass wir die Klimaanlage nicht benötigt haben.Die Fliegengitter an den Fenstern schätzten wir sehr. So konnten wir unbesorgt -auch in der Nacht- lüften. Die schattigen Außenbereiche sind perfekt um sich vor der Sonne zu schützen und gleichzeitig die Natur zu genießen.Besonders hervorzuheben sind die äußerst gastfreundlichen Vermieter. Ihre Herzlichichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft haben unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht.Die ruhige Lage der Wohnung ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Wir freuten uns immer, nach unseren Ausflügen an diesen Ort zurück zu kehren und die Ruhe und eine Abkühlung im Pool zu genießen.  Wir konnten uns perfekt entspannen und erholen.

Sehr ruhiger und entspannter Urlaub

Wir hatten einen sehr entspannten Urlaub. Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr gepflegt & super sauber. Mario und Mira sind außerordentlich herzlich und freundlich. Sie haben uns mit eigenem Obst & Gemüse aus dem Garten verwöhnt und zusätzlich noch mind. 1x pro Woche für uns gekocht. Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet und es gab sogar einen Sessel zur Couch und einen bequemen Lehnstuhl, die auf den Fotos gar nicht zu sehen sind. Das einzige, was nicht da war, war ein Toaster (es gab nur einen Sandwich-Maker). Man kann aber mit dem Backofen toasten. Trotz der überall vorhandenen sehr guten Mückengitter an den Fenstern, gab es immer wieder mal Mücken in der Wohnung (vermutlich durchs Fensterläden-Schließen), das war aber ok. Draußen waren die Mücken abends aber sehr nervig. Hier braucht man unbedingt Mückenmittel. Ansonsten gab es immer mal wieder die üblichen südländischen Kleintiere, das war aber auch ok. Die Fensterläden dunkeln die Räume übrigens sehr gut ab, für alle, die gerne dunkel schlafen. Wir haben die abgelegene Lage bewusste ausgewählt und für uns war sie super. Der nächste größere Supermarkt ist ein gutes Stück entfernt, d.h. Einkäufe muss man planen. Wer mit Kindern unterwegs ist, die sich über Tiere freuen - die Katze und die Hunde des Nachbarn freuen sich über jede Streicheleinheit. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und toll zum Relaxen oder zum Toben. Es gab hinterm Haus noch eine Schaukel, die wir aber nie genutzt haben. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung sehr zu empfehlen!

Entspannung wie geplant!

Das Apartment war wie beschrieben und sehr sauber. Die Vermieter sind wie in den anderen Rezessionen bereits geschrieben sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es hat alles gepasst. Die Lage ist weit weg von allem Tourismus, genau das haben wir gewollt. Dadurch sind natürlich mehr Autominuten im Urlaub nötig. Ich kann den Ort bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Danke

Uitstekend ontvangt en verblijf!

We zijn zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Mario en zijn vrouw en erg in de watten gelegd met eten en drinken. Het huis ligt rustig maar op rijafstand van verschillende bezienswaardigheden. Het zwembad is prima. Bijzonder was het jaarlijkse dorpsfeest met een mis en eten. Graag komen we nog eens terug.

We hadden een vakantie om nooit te vergeten.zeer vriendelijke gastheer en -dames die een goede kennis hadden van het engels;zodat we tijdens hun aangeboden bbq een goed babbeltje konden slaan.het appartement had alle voorzieningen en was zeer netjes.we konden genieten van de groentjes uit hun tuin geplukt , die ons zeker hebben gesmaakt.ook de locatie was top.een topvakantie beleefd nabij hum.

What a lovely place

Many good reviews have been written about House Morus in Mikci.... and they are all true! This is in the lovely hills of Northern Istria, away from the trouble of the crowded tourist hot spots, but within one hour all destinations in Istria can be reached. We visited Labin, Opatija, Motovun, Poreč, Baredina cave, Rovinj, Pula, Buzet (near) and Hum (of course). Welcoming and warmhearted hosts who made our stay absolutely fantastic. A very nice house with fantastic garden and very good pool. All clean and cared for. If you have any needs and questions, just ask the hosts and they will do everything to help. We recommend a stay with Mario & Mario in Mikci to everyone!

Great holiday in a rustic ambience

We had a wonderful summer holiday at House Morus. Mario and Mira are very accommodating and friendly hosts. On the day we arrived, we were immediately invited for dinner and we were also allowed to be their guests for the Sunday barbeque. With products from the garden (cucumbers, peppers, beans, potatoes, onions, etc.) we were always supplied. Our two boys felt at home in the pool and garden and made fast friends in their two granddaughters. The flat was very clean and provided with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Mikci is a bit away from the general tourist hotspots in Istria. But from here, all destinations, whether east or west coast, can be reached within an hour, so a relaxing day at the beach or a short city trip is always possible.

Peaceful and well positioned

Had a great stay here for five nights. Mario, Mira, and family are wonderful, thoughtful hosts. We had a welcome dinner, got a box of vegetables from Mario’s garden, and were invited to his granddaughters’ birthday party (it was on the property one day), and to a village festival right nearby. The space is essentially as shown in the pictures (perhaps just a bit less bright), was super clean, and had pretty much everything we needed, including kitchen staples and washing detergents. We cooked breakfast daily and some dinners and never felt in need of anything. We really enjoyed breakfast in the charming outdoor space under the vines, and the kids enjoyed the pool and playing soccer in the grassy area. We day-tripped to Piran, Rovinj, and Pula. They were each about an hour’s drive, which is maybe a little longer than ideal, but as others have said, the drives in the countryside were pleasant, the location allowed good access in each direction, and is well located for getting to know the countryside hill-top towns like Grozjnan, Motovun, Oprtalj, and Bizet, which we toured in a day. Local konoba (taverns) were amazing, including the one in nearby Roč (and we wish we had had time for the one in Hum).

Urlaub zuhause

Wir waren eine Woche bei Mario und Mira zu Gast. Wir fühlten uns vom ersten Augenblick an sehr wohl. Die Wohnung war super sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Mario und Mira sind die herzlichsten Gastgeber, die wir je hatten. Sie sind immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber auch diskret. Die Lage der Wohnung ist traumhaft, es ist sehr ruhig und man ist wirklich ungestört , was wir sehr schätzen. Der Pool war sehr gepflegt und wurde von uns täglich benutzt. Wir kommen sicher wieder :)

Excellent experience

My wife and I for each of 14 years have rented a house in Europe for a month. We have been fortunate enough to have had very good hosts, but Mario and his family are far and away the best. We had a welcome dinner upon arrival and dinner with the family every Sunday. Mario regularly checked with us to see whether we needed anything, and he was very helpful with places to see and how to approach them. Mario speaks fluent English and is very affable as well as considerate and kind, as is his wife, who speaks Italian and German The house is in excellent condition, admirably equipped and the kitchen well-stocked. The location is ideal for visits to seacoast towns as well as the famed fortified hill towns, and the drive to and from highway 44 scenically idyllic. My wife and I strongly recommend this property, especially for anyone seeking a quiet, peaceful holiday.

Hospitality of host made it a great stay

The flat in a typical house was nice and cosy, and overall as described on the booking platform. The very quite environment of rural inner istria made it a truely relaxing stay, and at the same time was a good starting point for activities in the surrounding. But what really made our stay wonderful was the unbelievable hospitality of our hosts, Mario and Mira. Even though we read about that in the previous reviews, we still were highly impressed. This began with a dinner on the evening of our arrival, products from the garden, homemade delicious cakes and culminated in an invitation to a perfect lunch on Easter Sunday. All this was absoutely amazing!

Ein toller Urlaub in Mikci

Vielen Dank an Mario, Mira und Jelena die unsere Zeit in Mikci zu einem unvergesslichen Urlaub gemacht haben. Das Haus ist in einem sehr gepflegten, sauberen Zustand. Wir hatten eine große Sitzecke vor dem Haus. Der Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen stand uns alleine zur Verfügung. Immer wieder hat uns die Familie überrascht, mit frischem Gemüse aus dem Garten oder mit Einladungen zum Essen und alles war super lecker. Auch wenn das Haus etwas abgelegen ist sind wir oft ans Meer gefahren, das war für uns kein Problem. Immer wieder gerne !

Toller Urlaub in wunderschöner Gegend

Wir waren für 2 Wochen bei Mario und Mira. Diese beiden Menschen sind die besten Gastgeber, die wir bisher hatten. Mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten wie Dinner, Barbecue, frischen Obst und Gemüse aus eigenem Garten verwöhnten uns die beiden immer aufs neue. Der gesamte Service war fast wie in einem Hotel. Wir freuten uns immer nach unseren Ausflügen an diesen Ort zurück zukehren und die Ruhe und eine Abkühlung im Pool zu genießen. Auch die beiden süßen Enkelkinder von Mario und Mira machten den Aufenthalt für unsere beiden Kinder unvergesslich. Die Lage des Hauses ist super, da man von diesem Ort, sowohl die West- als auch die Ostküste leicht erreichen kann. Durch Mario und Mira haben wir Kroatien lieben gelernt. Wir danken ihnen für diesen wundervollen Urlaub.

Tolle Entspannung und super freundliche Gastgeber

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön eingebettet in die Landschaft und umgeben von einem liebevoll gepflegten, großen Garten/Grundstück mit blühenden Blumen, Obstbäumen, Olivenbäumen und Gemüsegärten. Die gesamte Wohnung inkl. Badezimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir alle hatten in und am Pool sehr viel Spaß und Freude, das gesamte Grundstück ist liebevoll gepflegt. Es liegt etwas abseits vom nächsten Dorf, zu den nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants benötigt man zwingend ein Auto. Dass die Hauseigentümer mit im Haus wohnen hat uns nicht gestört und war überhaupt nicht unangenehm. Mario und Mira sind sehr gastfreundliche, liebenswerte Menschen, die es verstehen, einer Familie einen tollen Urlaub in ihrer Wohnung zu ermöglichen. Bettwäsche und Handtücher haben wir mehrfach angeboten bekommen. Wir wurden während unserer 10 Tage sehr liebevoll aufgenommen, Mira hat uns an mehreren Abenden bekocht, was gerade am 1 Tag nach der Ankunft richtig toll war- und es hat jedes Mal super geschmeckt. Auch wurden wir immer wieder beschenkt mit frischem Obst oder Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten, was richtig toll war- und lecker geschmeckt hat. Unsere beiden Kinder habe sich sehr gut mit den Enkelmädchen verstanden, die mit im Haus leben, auch wenn sie nicht dieselbe Sprache sprechen. War eine willkommene Abwechslung und eine tolle gemeinsame Zeit. Wir haben die Städte Rovinji, Porec, Osterc und Pula besichtigt- hier muss man ca. 1 Std. Fahrtzeit kalkulieren. Auch an den Strand im Süden sind wir mehrfach gefahren, weil es einfach so schön dort war und überhaupt nicht mit Menschen überlaufen. Wir können den Aufenthalt bei Mira, Mario und Familie gerne und guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen und freuen uns für jeden Gast bei ihnen, der in den Genuss dieser kroatischen Gastfreundschaft kommt.

Schönes Bauernhaus im Gebirge Istriens

Mira und Mario sind die herzlichsten Gastgeber, die man sich wünschen kann. Wer abseits vom Trubel ruhig Urlaub machen will und dennoch schnell überall auf der Insel sein möchte, ist hier herzlich willkommen. Durch die Lage in der Nähe von Buzet im Gebirge sind die Fahrzeiten zu allen Teilen der Halbinsel übersichtlich. Das Haus entspricht vollkommen dem, was man in der Anzeige liest. Man wird durch herzliche Gastgeber empfangen, die sich für Ihre Gäste interessieren, wertvolle Hinweise zum Erkunden Istriens geben und ihre Gäste mit frischem Obst und Gemüse aus dem hauseigenen Garten versorgen sowie hin und wieder für ihre Gäste kochen.

Idyllischer Wohlfühlurlaub

Wir durften 10 Urlaubstage in diesem sehr sauberen, schönen Haus verbringen. Die herzlichen Vermieter waren überaus gastfreundlich und verwöhnten uns immer wieder mit leckerem Essen und Getränken. Ein schön angelegter Pool und eine traumhafte Außenterasse waren unsere absoluten Wohlfühlorte. Der Urlaub war einfach spitze!

Tolle Gastgeber mit schönem Appartement und herrlich ruhiger Lage

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Kroatien. Mira und Mario sind einfach nur wunderbar. Sie geben gute Tipps für Ausflugsziele, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Wir wurden mit istrischen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt und mit eigenem Gemüse versorgt. Das Appartement (mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet), sowie das gesamte Anwesen waren sehr sauber. Die abgelegene Lage des Grundstücks war für uns traumhaft. Zum glasklaren Meer ist es natürlich etwas weit. Trotzdem waren wir fast jeden Tag dort. Und anschließend haben wir unseren Pool noch genutzt.
