The Bandera Stronghold is located 5 miles from downtown Bandera on beautiful, spring fed Mason Creek. Wildlife abounds on this heavily wooded 8.5 acres. The Red Cloud Cabin (property i.d. #3926136) is adjacent to the host’s home. It features a full kitchen stocked w/ most needed utensils, condiments & coffee (since hosts are on site, they're happy to share anything you might need or have forgotten). Coffee and tea are complimentary. The private back deck has a hot tub and overlooks the swimming hole on the creek. Red Cloud cabin offers a double bed, cozy dining for two in the kitchen, full bath with tub and shower combo, TV monitor with DVD, central air and heat, charcoal grill, picnic table and outdoor fire pit. Your well behaved dog is welcome for an additional fee. All bed and bath linens are supplied. A roll away bed is available for a 3rd guest for an additional fee. Enjoy a day of catch and release fishing, bird and deer watching and a dip in the creek followed by an evening of stargazing as you soak in the hot tub. No telephone or WiFi, but decent AT&T cell service most of the time. Gravel base is suitable for motorcycles. Administrative fee covers the county taxes not collected by Home Away.
