Condo was in a great location for a family Universal Studios trip. The unit was exceptionally clean upon arrival, noting that even the furniture appears to be steam cleaned. It has everything stocked you would need for a family, even children's cups/plates/silverware. Our son who is a hot sleeper appreciated the fan. Beds were all comfortable. Every TV has a cable box which was super nice. iTrip communications were fantastic, with instructions clear, and all codes worked as they should upon arrival. Only 1 word of caution to anyone booking through iTrip. While it says early check in/check out might be available based on availability, our experience was it is not allowed at all. The communication back to us from Mae, was that 'we do not allow early checkin/late checkout'. While we understood this was peak travel time, this unit was not rented out 3 days prior to our arrival, nor the night of our checkout(even confirmed by iTrip). Seemed more unwilling than unable to us, at least in this situation. Given that the complex has no facility to store luggage, this caused us to have to rent a car for an extra day since we had no where to go given our flight times were so early/late coming/going. Not a huge deal, but their inflexibility to help us on either end of the trip was frustrating.

Overall stay was good.

We stayed here in Late October/Early November.The condo was ok lots of utensils, plates, glasses. The place was clean which is always nice. A few items of furniture were a little worn but it didn't bother us. Super comfy main bedroom bed. Access in and out was fine, ground floor condo. Was an excellent location for Universal and not to bad for Disney either traffic wise. Wallgreens about 5 mins away walking and a few eating places across the road again 5 mins away walking where there is also a Publix supermarket very handy.Only downsides - building work onsite, we were aware of the pool refurbishment, however not the roof being done on another building which was close to us and the pavements outside our building. There are air-condition units outside the main bedroom window that could get very noisy we sleep soundly so it wasn't a huge problem to us. Just in case anyone else doesn't ? We did say that we would have no problem returning to this condo.I had to put a rating for everything so if anyone does see my rating for the management, this was in the middle as we didn't have to contact them so I couldn't say yes it was excellent or no it wasn't.

miscommunication from host and VRBO

Booked during hurricane Milton. Emailed host to see if we can check in earlier, and indicate we were willing to pay extra due to the timing of the storm. Host said it would not be available and that was fine. Upon arriving, the unit, neighborhood was nice. There was a weird smell in the unit. Bought some air fresheners from Publix to see if will help with the smell and it was still there. There was patio furniture inside our unit and in the welcome email, the host informed guests it was put there due to the storm, they mentioned a team will be putting the furniture back; however, Orlando was not considered a mandatory evacuation. The second day in the unit, my family and I came to strangers inside our unit moving patio furniture. I was shocked I did not receive a text, email or some form of digital communication of such intrusion. It was an awkward exchange between myself and the people who were moving the furniture due to a language barrier and we had to communicate via Google translate. I emailed VRBO customer service of my concern and request to refund my stay. I informed them my family does not feel safe being inside the unit and I was reassured by VRBO's customer support they were going to follow up (which they did not). The host contacted me asking about my stay and I expressed my concerns. After an exchange of the email language, I highlighted specifics from their email that needed clarification. I did not hear back from them that day. We left the next day.

Nice unit, but smells funny

The unit and location was nice, but there were definitely some issues with cleanliness and a smell, along with the property managers inability to address them. When we arrived we noticed there was standing water on the floor around the toilet in the master bath. We cleaned it up and called maintenance. This was on Friday, no one arrived until Monday. So the leak continued over the weekend. From the rate of leak over the weekend, and the amount of water when we arrived, the leak had been unattended for some time. When we first arrived you could tell the unit must have been recently deodorized. Beginning Saturday evening there was a persistent musty smell that became over whelming. I called and messaged multiple times with no response. When maintenance arrived to fix the leak, we asked about the smell. They indicated that it might be related to the leak and may get better now that it was fixed. We waited a day and the smell did not improve at all. So I tried to contact management again. Finally after another day they responded and resent maintenance out. Maintenance checked all over the apartment and said the smell was definitely bad and that they could not find a source. They were going to report to management and see what could be done. This was the time that management stopped responding to messages at all. We have tried contacting them multiple times to see if there would be any sort of consideration and received no response.

Work Trip

The place was very comfortable for our work trip. We were able to work in peace in the evenings. Super close to plenty of restaurants and easy to get to! The pool area was very nice and super inviting as well!

Cold and Over Charged

It was very cold when we stayed at the property and there was no heat. The batteries were taken out of the thermostat so we could not turn the heat on. On the last day, our bags were packed and sitting by the door. However, my husband and I were outside trying to figure out what to do about return flights. A cleaning lady knocked on the door and my daughter who has a disability answered the door and she didn't know what to do or say. The cleaning lady told her that she was going to call the property manager. My husband and I returned within 5 minutes or less and the cleaning lady was speaking to the property manager stating we were not out of the room on time and we would be build for another night, even though the cleaning lady had already stripped the beds and was starting a load of laundry. We were very upset with the service and being overcharged!

Only 1 wash cloth for 4 people and a few towels. Toilet seats and disposal needs to be fixed. We made 2 phone calls upon arrival regarding issues. No one responded.

Overall is good

We enjoyed staying at this place. The location is great. Things looked clean when we arrived. Easy to process to check in. The amenities; swimming pool, fitness center, etc, are over the top. However, I slept in one of the bedroom and got bitten by bed bugs all over my body especially my neck. So I needed to sleep on a couch which I didn’t plan to. I contacted the property owner/manager. He responded promptly and sent pest control right the way. But we didn’t want the bed bugs to migrate to other bedroom so I sent them back. I wish they handled this bed bugs issue before our arrival. If they did, I would gave 5 stars.

Bed Bugs

We had bed bugs in one of the bedrooms! Fortunately it was a room we were not using until the end of the trip but that is unacceptable. They appeared to be dead. I have emailed the property owners/managers twice to no avail. The edges of the baseboards were filthy and the carpet as well. The bed bugs were a trip ruiner and my people had to go stay somewhere else!

Location is Perfect

Staying within walking distance of the convention center is a huge bonus during multi-day sports tournaments. This condo provides a great space with easy access. One tip - the condo leans warmer in the bedrooms than the thermostat says, so make sure to utilize the box fans that are available.

Dated and stingy

2 trash bags for your stay and less than a roll of Toilet paper for your stay. Rules for trash . Separate trash but no idea what went where. If you stay here be sure to get the gate number As well as the condo number. TVs we’re impossible to figure out —with streaming only. Dated—needs a rehab with a new couch. On the plus side it’s a great location and easy access when you figure it out. Beware the extra fees It doubled our 4 day price. We were in 101 but our account said we’d be in 105 So maybe this is a problem for the booking agent.

The property was great. The only thing was….. They said they had the basics there. I think The basics are different to some people. My basics would’ve been having salt and pepper. There literally is nothing there other than dishes and linens.

Vista Cay

Overall the stay was pleasant, the cleaning fee needs to be reviewed based on post rental. It looked way better when we left ( we cleaned as it was our own ) then when we arrived, I treated it like my own home, the only thing I did not do was dust everything. Dishes still had food from prior stay still stuck on them, I washed the sheets as there was hair and some questionable "spots" on the sheets. When leaving and rechecking everything to make sure we didn't forget anything we found: Socks under the bed What looked to be a used condom, alot of wrappers, change, nerf darts, a pair of underwear AND last but not least, a toothbrush. Overall I enjoyed this condo and the property was beautiful. We come to Orlando this time every year, it is a VERY SPECIAL TRIP for us as we celebrate the life of my Daughter, who took her life. we have been coming to UO since she was 5 years old,, she was 24 when she died and would have been 33 this year.. We try not to base a return visit on a few bad things when the whole picture was great. I will be returning next year and those little hiccups do not deter me from renting the same unit if available. Check in was amazingly simple, communication via email was also amazing with very quick replies!!! Thank you for an amazing Vacation Vista Cay, I was Overall pleased with your accommodations. And will be returning.

Great Condo!

This is a great condo! A short drive to universal & Disney! Plenty of space for our kiddos to spread out. Beds were comfy, condo was clean, everything we needed was there!
