Sobre esta propriedade

Colorado Rocky Mountains at Really Blessed Cabin

We are 10 minutes from Cripple Creek with the restaurants, casinos, the narrow-gauge train, Dome-Rock, Pancake Rock trails, vistas of Pikes Peak, etc..

We require Snowy Season use of a 4x4's, Jeep or AWD's with very good tire treads (or snow tires). I have some alternatives for getting up the hill without a Jeep, etc. but these must be arranged - please ask. I would suggest being there to check-in at 4 PM during daylight (or before, just ask) rather than late or middle of the night so you can better see on a snow-packed road. We do not pay for towing, etc. If you get stuck please try to move off to the side for other vehicles (neighbors) and you will need to hike up to the cabin. I do not live nearby, I would delay any arrival until a squall or blinding snow storm if finished so check the weather if it is questionable. Pro-Tip: Bring groceries-coffee with you at check-in. From May on through most of November, 2wd vehicles and motorcycles are fine to climb up the ridge.

The fee shown is for the cabin with 3 bedrooms - 2 Queens and a King bed with sleeping for 3 couples or 6 adults (we do have a cot). Vrbo automatically bills for our Sleeping Quarters - Bunkhouse if you have 7 or more guests at booking. It has two queen beds in an open area - short loft. It is suitable for a family of four. The Bunkhouse can be optionally added as a 4th bedroom if guests need separate arrangements (you will need to request that, please). The fee is $100 per night if added as an option.

We do not allow construction employee housing use, construction work crews to rent the cabin due to prior damages. We do not allow parties or one person to book and others use the property. The booking party is the responsible point of contact and is required to stay at the property for the booking period. We allow 1 dog with the Pet Fee or maybe two small pups with approval. We require you to check the box showing a Pet is coming. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel without refunds.

Our listing is for the nightly rental of the Cabin. We are a wedding venue and we require our Venue Contract and venue fees. To safeguard this, we have a view of the exterior and arbor areas via camera. So please do not attempt to have a ceremony, reception or party without my written contract, etc.

Our high-altitude Really Blessed Cabin (sitting at 10,200 feet) is a log cabin and property offering spectacular panoramic views of Pikes Peak and it's southern ridges in Colorado's high country above the picturesque Gillette Valley. From outdoor settings overlooking the majestic Pikes' Peak, to the log cabin that reflects the essence of the Rocky Mountains, Really Blessed Cabin helps create a truly "take your breath away" experience. This spectacular view is enjoyed from the interior front wall of vaulted windows, as well as, from the wrap around deck. The setting is dramatic.

LOG CABIN
The interior log cabin, appointed with vaulted, tongue and groove beamed ceiling is an ideal place where your family and guests can come together to celebrate your special day. Accommodations are for up to 6 guests in the main cabin with a king bedroom and two other queen bedrooms. A new groom's bunkhouse, sleeping another 4 guests is available. Other log cabin amenities are wood and slate floors, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, luxurious lighting, wine cooler, granite counters, and tasteful Colorado style decor, including wall mounted Elk antlers. Two full bathrooms round out the log cabin.

Our wood stove will keep you toasty on those chilly Colorado nights. A large 60" HD satellite-fed television with Blu-Ray DVD player, surround-sound system and WIFI are available. An audio cable is available for your music through the outside speakers over the hot tub and deck. Another Blu-Ray player is in the King bedroom for that TV (bring movies). We do have cards, books, and various board games to play during your stay. If there is not an outdoor fire and smoking ban, you may use the outdoor oversized campfire pit (has a cooking grate in addition to our large gas grill).

As explained above, our Accessory Bunkhouse -Sleeping Quarters may be added after the fact to a existing reservation at $100 additional per night (plus Vrbo fees). The Bunkhouse will sleep an additional 4 guests in two queen beds. The restrooms in the cabin will need to be shared but we have a water dispenser for coffee, etc. It also has a fold-down dining table, TV with Blu-Ray player, a loft and a wood-stove styled heater. It is ideal for a glamping experience, over-flow sleeping, Artist Studio, etc. We do not allow children under 16 to sleep unattended in the Bunkhouse.

For more guests, we also offer our RV or Camper pad with 30 Amp service at $50 per night (includes our drop station).

Our 5-person hot tub with a waterfall jet and colored lighting sits on the deck where the mountains can be enjoyed or viewing the stars if you take a soak after dark.

Please be accurate with your number of guests as we purchase our water supply or manually deliver it for each guest group. Please keep this in mind by taking short showers, not leaving the water running, using a single towel during your stay, etc. The washing machine is not available to guests. Exceptions will be for longer stays with a water charge.

Our check-out time is 10 a.m. because of the amount of work needing to be done. Our housekeeper is punctual (set an alarm, please). Again, check in time is 4 p.m. The home likely will not be ready until then, but I do recommend arriving close to this time than late at night to avoid being lost (GPS units do not work to the Cabin) or due to weather. Please let us know in advance should you need an early check-in.

It is an easy 10 minute drive to Cripple Creek, 35 minutes to Woodland Park's restaurants, etc., and a beautiful 50 minute drive to Manitou Springs and western Colorado Springs.

We are not Weed friendly, thus, no weed is allowed, neither inside or outside. There is an outside ashtray for cigarettes but be aware when a fire ban is in effect outdoor smoking is also banned. Smoking in your car might be your best idea or in a bar in-town. Damages, the smell of smoke, missing or lost items such as pillows (ours are marked), etc., will be charged.

Let me know questions you may have. God bless!

Sobre o anfitrião

Anfitrião: Matt Turner

Imagem do perfil do anfitrião
An Atlanta native, I moved to Colorado in 2012. I have been a real estate appraiser since 1987... with a tinkering in the remodeling, property management, the wedding business, and ministry.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

The VIEW! The view, coupled with the beautiful log cabin, pavilion, treed property, we offer weddings under our Agreement. We are affordable in contrast to other wedding venues which makes it a sought after wedding venue destination.

We are an easy 10 minute drive to the Casino town of Cripple Creek, 35 minutes to Woodland Park, 50 minutes to Manitou Springs and Western Colorado Springs with Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Park, the newer Olympic Museum, the Air Force Academy (use the North Gate), The Broadmoor property, the Zoo, Incline train, etc.

Hiking: I would suggest using www.cospringstrails.com for trails, etc. Plan for fast weather changes (listen to forecasts as it can snow on what had been a warm day earlier). On this side of the mountain, there are The Crags trail (off Hwy 67) Raspberry Mountain, Horse Thief Falls - Pancake Rocks (at the tunnel parking area on Hwy 67), Dome Rock trails but for an easy stroll try the series of trails in Florissant Fossil Bed Park on Teller County Road 1 (north of Cripple Creek -a fee is required as it is a National Park. It has a cool visitor's center). Neighborhood walking is permitted but please stay on the roads during hunting season and to keep from getting lost.

Jeep & UTV Rentals: Great Outdoor Adventures (719-686-6816, Goadventures.org) is new in Woodland Park or ATV/UTV tours (group rides) are available from Rockhound Rentals, 8825 US Hwy 24, Cascade, CO 80809. 719-684-2408. Jeep Guides: I would suggest checking with my buddy to arrange guided open-air or canopy Jeep tours and trips such as Rafting, Segway tours, Zip-lining, Hiking, etc. Please request him - he's called "Ridgerunner" as a Guide name. You may also book online with him at www.advoutwest.com or call them at 719-578-0935. His personal cell is 626-774-4051. Rafting: Echo Canyon in Canon City. Ask about the Bighorn Sheep stretch for rafting. It's more bubbly rather than hard-core. Ziplines are also nearby at Royal Gorge & Manitou

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The Cabin is the last home on the road but a next door neighbor has set up a minifarm with her horses, hens, and a couple of security dogs. The nearby neighbors have campers & RV's.

This property began as my personal home. With encouragement from friends, the home was listed for nightly rental and later added Wedding Venue use.

Internet is Starlink which has national average speeds of 130 mbs down, 15 mbs up and 10 ms latency. Zoom calls or conferences are generally fine as well as streaming movies and gaming.

Fun things:
Cripple Creek has a short train ride of an actual steam engine on narrow-guage tracks. https://cripplecreekrailroad.com/ Also, there's a normal train ride into the huge Royal Gorge (Canon City) which has open-air cars to look up the 1,200 feet to the Park, bridge, swings and zip line. Ridgerunner (see below) might be able to help with it, too.  Leadville, Colorado also has a train now as well which is very entertaining. www.LeadvilleRailroad.com

Seasonal Horseback riding is also available nearby. The famous one is M Lazy C Ranch, 719-748-3398 just west of Lake George. You might Google 'Things to Do in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado' for a more expansive list like driving up Pikes Peak (their webcam is https://parks.coloradosprings.gov/pikespeak) was $20 per vehicle (have good brakes!!), the Air Force Academy, the Olympic Training Center, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Broadmoor Hotel grounds and restaurants, etc. Some brochures were in the Cabin.
