The maximum occupancy of is 10 guests only and BBQ grill is NOT available during fall and winter.

Please make sure to follow the rule of HOA that enforce the quiet hour between 10:00pm and 800am. The property has sound decibel monitoring devices. Our neighbors are sensitive to that and you will get a citation for a fine up to $1500. Street parking is NOT allowed anywhere inside HOA.

Fabulous Tahoe Donner Home

This is our 2nd season renting this beautiful home on top of the world in Tahoe Donner. Stunning views and a lovely house perfect for large groups or families. We've already planned another stay this winter. Highly recommend to anyone visiting North Tahoe!!

This property is beautiful and was very roomy. My entire group loved everything about it especially the view from the outdoor deck. The jacuzzi was very warm and the kitchen was fully equipped. Would definitely come back here!

Great stay

We really enjoyed the home. Space was great - I really liked the high ceilings and the bunk bed room for the kids. It is close to Tahoe Donner and slope up wasn't too steep even if heavy snow we were able to get up and down. Owner was responsive to our questions. I would stay here again.

Great stay with large space with STUNNING Views

Overall the stay was nice, very spacious and straight forward. One big complain was the Heater downstairs. All of us were freezing downstairs because the heater wasn't working. Only the one in the living room and master bedroom was. Also expect the place to be a bit dusty my allergies were through the roof. The couch in the living room is a bit dated in my opinion. May be time for the property owner to do an upgrade. But if you are looking for views. This spot is Amazing. The pictures from the listing definitely don't do it justice.

Mountain Bike Trip

The floor plan of the home was very nice and the back view was amazing. The home has plenty of room to where you do not feel crowded. The downfall is the home was lacking attention to issues such as the cleanliness and items that needed fixing around the house. The home obviously receives a quick run over before turning it over to the next renter.

Stunning property - 5++ stars!! House is not well stocked, though. 0 stars there - ergo 3 stars

This property is a gem. First, it is located on a 0.75 mile loop, which means no traffic and lots of walking opportunities. It is perched on the top of a hillock, with a sublime view of the mountains - Mt. Rose in particular. There is a massive master bedroom/bath/walk-in closet on the main floor with the kitchen/dining/living area. There is a loft upstairs which has a Foosball table - but the walls are waist high so the noise echos downstairs. Downstairs, there is an en-suite master bedroom, a massive office (hottub off the deck there!) that can easily fit a family of 5 and another bedroom which share a full bath. There is also a long rumpus room with a TV (we set up our wii in there), 2 sets of twin bunkbeds, a sleeper couch and an en-suite full bath. The kids camped down there a lot. Downstairs feels a bit low ceilinged, but the main floor is spectacular. The vaulted ceiling must be 20+feet at the peak. The views are spectacular. The living room is super roomy, with a great stone fireplace and a deck. The connected dining area has a fantastic farm table with seating for at least 10, and 4 bar stools off a counter by the kitchen. The kitchen has the usual, minus some things (see below). Overall, the location and view and layout make this house a no-brainer for multiple families to gather. We had 3 families - 7 adults and 7 children - and we all fit comfortably without ever feeling crowded. That rumpus room was genius for separating the kiddies from the adults after dinner. However, the house does not stock any of the usual things - dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, recycling bags, kleenex, napkins. It also is very low on other usual things - there were no fitted sheets that we could find. There were not enough sheets and pillows and blankets to service the 4 bedrooms, study with sleeper couch, sleeper couch in the rumpus room. There were no spare sheets - for an extended stay of 2 weeks, you would have to devote a day to washing your linens (and go get your own detergent) - not fun. The kitchen did not have a 100% working coffee maker. The cuisinart was broken. There was no blender. The kitchen also lacked a dishrack, extra dishtowels (there were 2), measuring cups, multiple large pots, saran wrap, tin foil, sufficient coffee cups and bowls (there were 8 each). We would stay here again for the view and location, but want better it to be stocked better next time.

DISHONEST MANAGER, SEVERAL KEY AMENITY ISSUES

DISHONEST HOST, SEVERAL KEY AMENITY ISSUES, which the host or the cleaner was NO HELP in addressing them, and the host was DISHONEST about the issues and technically called us liars! Also, the Vrbo customer service was absolutely no help and ridiculously called the issues "minor issues". Here are the issues: 1. The hottub (Spa): Very frustrating. The hot tub kept SHUTTING DOWN, the water was COLD, and really DIRTY!! It was clearly not cleaned after the previous guests! After following up with the host, the cleaner suggested to turn it on and off. However, this only solved the issue for a few minute. The hottub was one of the main reasons why we had chosen this place. We could have booked much better and much cheaper places without a hottub. So technically, we wasted our money for this place that said had a hottub but actually didnā€™t. The host claimed they had cleaned and checked the water pH before our check in and the hottub was so hot that it tripped the breaker. However, the water was still cold and dirty even after 24 hours of not using it. The maintenance person told us that the reason these issues was the low level of water inside the tub. The water level was like this when we checked in. They did not know the problem but kept blaming that on us. TOTAL SCAM...WE HAVE PICTURES OF THIS. 2. BBQ Grill: The grill was NOT functional. The cleaner called and said SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! NO WORKING PROPANE TANK FOR a place in this price range! We bought another propane tank for $29 ourselves and have the receipt. Setting aside that $29 for the tank, the Vrbo support called this "a minor issue" (how is it minor?). The host said they had filled up both propane tanks for the BBQ grill and we used them all. Also he claimed his cleaner called and resolved the issue for us which is TOTAL DISHONESTY as she exactly said SHE DOENā€™T KNOW WHAT TO DO! We were not able to grill anything we planned after five hours trying and and we had to throw everything away. Vacation ruined!! 3. Audio System was not working, and NO help in this regard!!! 4. The house was NOT CLEAN. There were many dirts on the sofas, on the dinning table, and on the dishes. 5. No fire starter or lighter for the fire place!! THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL JOKE AND SCAM!!! If you want to RUIN your vacation, definitely get this place!

Family Get Together

Property and views were beautifulā€¦ had trouble checking in due to wrong code given for door lock. House was beautiful and well stocked but windows were hard to open and stay open. Over all had a wonderful time and property was very nice. I would recommend this house for large groupsā€¦ very nice!

This house more than delivered. Plenty of space to spread out. Fabulous views, comfy bedrooms and a hot tub with a view. The kitchen is nicely laid out and the dining area is spacious and good for a big group.

Amazing cabin!

Family Vacation 2021

We had so much fun! The house was just what we needed. We had 6 adults, 2 teen girls, 2 teen boys, 1 elementary aged kid and 2 four year old boys! We enjoyed cooking together breakfast and dinners, and enjoyed spending time together! We loved the lakes, hiking, adventure parks, and all around just time spent together as a family! Fantastic home to rent with family and friends.

The home was amazing, the view from the back deck was incredible, watching the deer, chipmunks and quail was quite entertaining for all of us. Even though the time we were there it was smoky from the CA fires, we had plenty to do indoors with game nights, movies and lots of cooking in the large kitchen. Family dinners around the huge dining table were a blessing and the evening and morning dips in the private hot tub were so relaxing. We had a fairly clear day to rent and ride bikes along the Truckee River and that was very fun. Overall fantastic experience, the home was gorgeous and we will definitely be back again. Hoping to make it an annual event for family get togethers. We give it 5 stars!

Beautiful house with a view

We had a group of 12 people, 5 adults and 7 kids (age 11-17). There was plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out. The view from the back deck was amazing with beautiful sunsets. The house does not have AC so it can get a bit warm with the sun shining in but there was generally a slight breeze if you open the windows. The kitchen was nice but it did lack a few basic utensils such as measuring spoons and dry measuring cups. Some updated utensils such as spatulas, tongs, etc would be nice. Some additional mixing bowls and storage containers would be nice as well. There was no laundry detergent and only a few pods for the dishwasher so we did have to go out to buy those items. Overall, the house was lovely and our group really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful Location

We recently stayed at this rental with my family and cousin's family with a total of 11 of us. The views were breathtaking and a welcomed greeting to each day. There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep and hang out. The kitchen was stocked better than I thought, based on previous reviews but if you need a specialty item, you may want to bring your own. If you have small children, you may want to consider the deck with the steep drop. The location was convenient to skiing at Tahoe Donner, where we were lucky enough to have no crowds, sunshine and fresh snow! The one issue was there were a couple items that seemed a little challenged, like blinds that did not open and close smoothly. We were charged for a broken blind that was stuck and couldn't be closed, which wasn't due to abuse; it just didn't work well. We had purchased the damage insurance, so we didn't make a deal of it. Overall, I would recommend, based on the location, the views and the comfortable living spaces provided for all.

Beautiful location but could be cleaner

This home is gorgeous with a view from the deck you could stare at all day. Terrific BBQ there as well. Very spacious and comfortable for the 4 members of my family. It could have been cleaner, however. There was a lot of hair in the shower of the downstairs master BR, and the blanket in the double twin bedroom smelled like urine. One more thing to be aware of - the paperwork sent by the owner said that network TV was available in the downstairs bunk room - but that is not the case. Didnā€™t miss not having it anyway. Overall, a very enjoyable place to stay.

No problems with rental except for smoke alarm going off.
