Sunny's Garden Homestay

Our property is close to Hwy I-215 and I-15 in 2-3 minutes. Heart of Salt Lake City nearby shopping malls, groceries... easy to go everywhere. This rental is a new fully finished 3350sf of the basement. It has a private entry, free WiFi and free parking, huge back deck with granite counter top, BBQ stove and mini refrigerator. You can enjoy our 0.25 ac beautiful garden with fish pond, fire pit. . and tasting our organic vegetable, fruits in the different seasons. Everything are new, nice, clean and very comfortable. My wife and I are still living on the main floor. We can speak English and Mandarin (Chinese), and we will love to help you to get anything or any information to enjoy your vacation.
Just let you know, we will charge you the refundable security deposit $200.00, when you check in.
This 3 bedrooms with shared restroom of the rental is only allowed 7 people to stay at night and total up to 12 people free to use our BBQ grill in the backyard. If you want to have a party or small event up to 50 people, it has an extra fee. Please contact the Owner in advance. All of the visitors need to leave before 12:00 am, because our security system and quiet time are started 12-7:00 am.
If you want to set up an (up to 50 people) party to use our backyard space from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm (Friday or Saturday), weekday is till 10:30PM, that it has fee from $250.00 ( weekday) $300.00 ( weekend) up extra charge for just renting our backyard. Free to use fire-pit if you bring your own wood. After party the Cleaning yard service is $100.00 extra, but it's optional. Details... please let us know to help you in advance. Thanks.

Beautiful Home Near Salt Lake City

The home and grounds were beautiful. The kids loved the games and the large tv. We thoroughly enjoyed our short one night stay.

Great stay. Lots of fun for a male family reunion.

We stayed at Sunny's place after Christmas for a brother and son ski trip. The place was perfect to rekindle the old ping pong and pool grudges. Plenty of space to spread out relax, too. One evening we had guests over for dinner and made use of the seating for 12 at the dinner table. During the days, it was an easy 25 minute drive to Snowbird/Brighton/Solitude. All in all a great trip. Would definitely stay there again (especially if she keeps the rates so low!) Thanks, Sunny.

loved the activities, pool table, ping pong table etc t.v. didn't realize it was a downstairs space but everything else was awesome. super friendly and helpful host.

Brief reprieve before heading home

After a short 4 day visit with our 11 year old granddaughter we had to get her back home to her parents. So we brought her back to Utah. Ours Kids home is not big enough for extra guests so we decided to stay at Sunny's place. Sunny's back yard is totally awesome. Her entire back yard is a beautifully maintained garden with a Koa pond, and a fire pit. We only stayed one night so we did not get to enjoy the garden as much as I would have liked. The accommodations inside the home were rich and tastefully done. Sunny was very helpful and accommodating. I almost felt like we were long time friends. I would recommend this Vacation Home Rental to anyone.

Overpriced but great stay.

I threw a bachelorette party at this location and all of my guests were satisfied. The location was very clean and wonderfully home-y, the hostess is from Taiwan who is very nice and pleasant. She prefers you remove your shoes at the door and either go barefoot or wear the slippers she provides around the house. It is very spacious and we enjoyed using the kitchen and the space behind the couch for the games. It was difficult to decorate with all our Gatsby themed decor because we were asked not to use tape on the walls, so it wasn't exactly as how I imagined. I do think the place is a bit overpriced, I paid about $250 for the night, ONE night, and an additional $200 cash security deposit upon arrival. I requested not to use the backyard space because it was going to be an additional $200 for the yard. I thought the space itself was nice and well prepared however I did not appreciate the hidden fees for cleaning and the yard. We decided to clean everything ourselves and got the security deposit back. The hostess was also a bit of a micro manager, so I felt some pressure for some of her silly rules like parking, a 50 dollar fee for extra people and the use of the backyard. I would stay here again because it was so nice but only if I was entertaining about thirty people, otherwise I don't think it is worth the money.

I feel 3 nice quality of the bed rooms with huge entertainment area, that only cost around $80.00 for each room (weekend rate), which it's undervalued. (Maybe Day's In... can save you more money.) We did not hidden $45.00 very reasonable cleaning fee ( we give guests option to keep our property clean and tidy to save their money, if they will do them save), if you willing clean your bachelorette party ( we don't know, how will it be, you can tape... or do whatever... in the end you need to return it to as original setting), we gave you a favor, you did saved this $45.00, I had asked you, and you promised that you will clean it before you leave. But we had washed your bedding sheets, towels, vacuumed whole space..and we did not charged you cleaning fee either. I also bring you a plate of organic flat peaches from our garden. You can use our back yard for free, but it has limited. Special on our 5' gas fire-pit cost $$ money for a hour, how many hours for your party??? Yes, it has fee, if you want to have a 40-50 people weeding, birthday... any kind of party on our back yard, just think about, that how many people will use our toilet... But BBQ stove cooking for under 12 peoples is for free. More gas to cook for more people's food. Please re-read our description again: "5, Normally guests can walk to our back yard to be seated to enjoy our peaceful beautiful garden or can use our BBQ facility to cook with their few visitors, but it only allow up to 12 person. If you don't use our BBQ gas, fire-pit to cook, and use every thing your own, then it can have 16-18 people to be seated to enjoy your little private party for 2 hours, that is no extra charges. If you want to set up a big party (up to 40 people) to use our back yard space till mid night around 11:30PM (Friday or Saturday) or during the week renting till 10:30PM, that it has fee from $250.00 ( weekday) $300.00 ( weekend) up extra charge for renting our back yard space. Using our gas fire-pit has $100.00 extra, Cleaning yard service $100.00 extra ( you can save this fee to clean it by yourself). Details... please let us know to let us to help you in advance. Great place for a family to gather!

We are so grateful for such a wonderful place for our family to gather for the holiday. It was perfect. The pool table, ping pong, air hockey, chess table, dart board.... something for everyone and everyone at the same time. The dining room table was big enough for all to sit together for a big family meal and the kitchen well stocked with all the dishes and gadgets. Much thought went into creating such a wonderful space. Thank you Sunny and Steve!

Magnifique sous-sol, propriétaires adorables

Un gigantesque sous-sol avec table de ping-pong, billard, home cinéma... décoré avec un gigantesque poème en calligraphie chinoise. 3 chambres très confortables et des propriétaires adorables qui nous ont alimenté en produits de leur jardin pendant notre séjour (tomates...).

Nice place...friendly owners

Sunny and Steve were friendly. The home was clean and fun for the whole family. A very large, open space with games for the kids made it even more enjoyable. Slept like a baby. The rooms are extremely comfortable.

It's completely new finished the 3 bedrooms ( has windows) of the basement with shared living space, that you can have fun with your friends and family to play pool, ping pong, chess, air hockey, indoor basketball or everyone can seating in comfortable recliner sofa to watch 80" Netflix movies and Direct TV channels with surround sound.
You also can enjoy our backyard garden and test our vegetable or organic fruits depending the seasons.
