We enjoyed our stay. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk from the property. They have beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella in the property for you to use. It’s off the main roads but close to everything. We would stay again.

Amazing stay at “The Glam Shack”!

I had an absolutely wonderful time at The Glam Shack! The location was perfect and the space had everything I needed.What truly set this stay apart was the exceptional hospitality from Allen & Silvia. They were incredibly responsive and friendly, answering questions promptly and being available for any assistance needed. The little extras—like designated parking and all the beach gear—made it feel like a thoughtful, well‑planned retreat. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Location is great

This is not meant to be a negative review. There is room for improvement on this one though. My previous stay was in another property (Surf Shack) by the same owners and it was much better.

Perfect for my needs

The owners are awesome and super quick to respond to any questions I had. The condo is very cozy and exactly as pictured. The bed was very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked for short term rental! I had everything I needed for stovetop cooking. If you're a single person or a couple its a great place to stay.

The description accuracy was correct. The price did reflect the fact that they are working on the exterior which the exterior I would assume does not look anything like it normally would do to the concrete work on the decking and steps and so on, but it was a cozy little place, exactly what we wanted really a place to sleep Near the beach, which was walking distance and my family lives there in town at Cape Canaveral

Would not stay again.

Upon arrival, there were no instructions. No email relating information of any sort. I contacted them the day before and they said I should get an email at 9 am. No such email came through. Upon arrival I messaged directly. Got the code. No information on WiFi, check in or out procedures. Again, sent a message. Apparently there was a disconnected between VRBO and the host. Finally got the WiFi information but nothing about checkout procedures. Nothing about where the dumpster was located. The apartment looked nice upon arrival. Until we actually paid attention. The shower was covered in mold. The toilet has not been cleaned. The bathroom sink was disgusting.

A place to rest your head

This is a place if you plan on being on the beach all day and just need a place to spend the night, rinse off and go straight back to the beach. However, this property is part of an old apartment building that is under construction, though we never saw someone working. There was some slight confusion as to which apartment was to be used. One apartment online, and another told by host when we arrived. Your parking spot is next to a demolition dumpster. You cannot open your doors because it is so close. The first thing we noticed walking into the apartment was the dense smell of smoke during our entire stay. Neighbors were working on their mopeds in the courtyard while others were picking up their animal’s refuse. A mopeds was parked right outside the door across the walkway most of our stay. There is a deadbolt lock, but you cannot use it. It is for the owner only. Having it useable would be more comfortable. When opening the freezer, the icemaker tray almost fell out and was covered in frost. I had to leave it in the sink overnight to dethaw and remove large ice chunks so that I could close the door completely. There were no notes or information in the apartment for Wi-Fi, operation of the fans or AC unit I had to figure it out. Coming in at night in the dark there was no light switch, so I realized you must pull the string on the fan to turn on the lights in the living room. We were exhausted and looking for a place to crash this was not what we expected.

Thank you for your review. We wanted to clarify that the daily rate for the apartment was heavily discounted due to ongoing condominium construction. This information, along with the reduced price, was clearly stated on the listing before you made your reservation for your beach vacation. We understand the allure of our units being close to the beach at a fraction of the cost compared to local hotels in Cape Canaveral / Cocoa Beach. Regarding your concern about the apartment being listed as one unit online, we have thoroughly reviewed our communications with you. The correct apartment details, including the lock access code and WiFi information, were all provided to you in your welcome pack and personally sent in a direct message. We are genuinely puzzled by any confusion on this matter. Regarding the construction on-site and the dumpster, we did inform you beforehand and provided options for parking, including your assigned spot and additional guest spots nearby. We apologize if this caused any inconvenience. As for the electronic lock, the listing clearly states its presence, and the code was provided to ensure your security during your stay. We have checked the freezer and found that the ice maker may have caused the tray to freeze in place. There was no need to remove the ice maker tray to access the freezer. Regarding your feedback on the fan and air-conditioning unit, while it's uncommon for accommodations to provide mechanical operation instructions, we appreciate your suggestion. We will consider including a step-by-step instruction manual in our welcome kit based on your experience. Thank you once again for choosing to stay at the Glamshack in sunny Cape Canaveral, FL.
