Experience relaxed afternoons on the veranda overlooking the rice paddies, and pleasant nights disturbed only by the sounds of frogs and crickets watching the fireflies float past. Relax in a private out door bathroom with a bath for two under the stars, before retiring to your large 4 poster bed for a relaxing nights sleep, prior to a luxury breakfast on the porch before setting off on your days adventure to explore the village and the enticing historical city of Yogyakarta.
ABOUT THE BUNGALOWS Our bungalows are hand built from old solid teak houses brought down from the mountains above Yogya and reassembled to suit the needs of a modern traveler including: -Large and unique antique four poster double beds -Private outdoor living space -Public deck or veranda -Private outdoor bathroom with luxury bathtubs and showers -Fully equipped Minibar and Snack bar
All bungalows are specifically designed to be: - Culturally sensitive; traditional style buildings, local materials and labour, balancing privacy and connection to you and the village -Environmentally friendly; made from 100% recycled and plantation timber and bamboo, low watt LED lighting, natural water filtration and biocycle toilets, organic non toxic shampoos and soaps -Thermally comfortable; including lots of natural ventilation, tropics specific insulation, fans and mosquito nets - ideally suited to couples, with Bungalow 3 perhaps better suited if you need to include an extra bed for a friend or children
ABOUT THE SURROUNDINGS The well known village of Tembi is located just 6klms south of Yogyakarta city, a 15min ride by motorbike, taxi or car, or on public buses that pass the village every few minutes, all of which our friendly staff can assist you with. Aside from visiting Yogyakarta and all it''s many attractions the village of Tembi and it's surrounds are a worthwhile destination in its own right. There is much to do in the area including visits to our local handicrafts factory, batik shops, the Tembi Cultural Centre, Museum, Restaurant and Art gallery, nearby Gabusan Art Markets, Waterbom water park and the nearby historical tourist destination of the "Graveyard of the Kings" in Imogiri. Explore one of the many temples, caves, beaches and handicrafts villages around the area, or simply dine at D' Omah restaurant and other nearby culinary attractions. Our staff are ready to advise and assist you in organising your own adventure.

Bungalow 1 Is built on a raised polished recycled Ironwood floor with a back deck directly overlooking the rice paddies and a front deck facing into the homestay common areas. Bungalow 1s outdoor bathroom includes gardens, fishpond, large luxury bathtub a seating area, toilet shower and sink surrounded by timber and stone walls. The internal area includes a queen size antique cotton reel soli oak four poster bed and bed side tables, a small writing desk and chair, minibar, snack bar and intimate lighting.
