This luxury downtown property is ideally suited for one or two people but can sleep 4 guests in two queen beds. Located just two blocks from S. Congress (SoCo) and Lady Bird Lake, it's the perfect place for a weekend getaway or reprieve from a business trip. Walk to arts and entertainment or stay in and enjoy the privacy of the beautiful grounds. The guest house is an open space with 360 square feet and a 15-foot cathedral ceiling with exposed beams. There is a Queen bed on the main level and a queen bed in the loft plus one bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need including, one electric hotplate, microwave/convection oven, coffee pot, tea kettle, toaster, blender, under-counter refrigerator, and outdoor gas grill. The dining table seats four and the outdoor space has three club chairs, one additional chair, and a hammock. The owner lives on site but the outdoor space is separated by a fence. The house was built in 1928 and resembles a European cottage. The guesthouse was constructed in 2006 and recently remodeled in 2021. The property and grounds have been published in various magazines, featured in commercials, and have been open for public outdoor garden tours. Casement windows surround the guest house with beautiful views of the gardens and numerous heritage Live Oak trees. Google fiber is available for high-speed internet access. This property is for the exclusive enjoyment of paying guests only. There is a strict noise ordinance by 10:30 p.m.

Enjoyed my time at this guesthouse in Austinā€™s South Congress area. The location was idealā€”close to all the shops, restaurants, and energy of SoCo, yet tucked away enough to feel quiet and comfortable and safe.The house was clean, well-designed, and easy to settle into. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were thoughtful, and everything worked exactly as it should. What an amazing place!!! We were blown away by our hosts hospitality and how she has made the space feel so cozy! The property is right in the middle of everything but tucked away so you feel like youā€™re away from it all. Our favorite part was the end of each day sitting on the patio under the oak trees. Bed was super comfy, we slept soooo well! Highly recommend and definitely will be back!

We enjoyed this guesthouse immensely. It was in a great location in the city. We loved having coffee on the patio in the mornings! We accidently left one of our belongings behind after leaving, and Michelle was gracious enough to ship the item to us.

If Only We Could Have Stayed Longer...

My husband and I have stayed in some top-notch hotels all over the Austin area and this was by far our favorite trip. Michelle's guest house was in a prime location, within walking distance to South Congress Ave. We walked to brunch, our morning coffee, shopping, and "home" after a dinner and drinks out. It was quaint, quiet and cute. The guest house is tastefully decorated and makes you feel like you're at home, away from home. The patio was beautiful and was surrounded by live oak trees. We only wish we could have stayed longer and are already planning our return. Thanks again Michelle, you were an excellent host!

Very special property with nice touches. We really enjoyed having the fire during the winter. Cozy and romantic. Perfect location! The check in instructions mentioned hot water issues. I was able to get hot water in the shower, but only by using the ā€œhotā€ tap only. I could not get hot water in the sink without a lot of trial and error. Super nice property, however some plumbing issues should be fine-tuned at this price.

Covid changed our Christmas plans at the last minute - so my husband and and I headed to Austin to be with our daughter. This place was just what we needed. The location is fantastic - short short walk to south Congress with all the shops and food you could want. The outdoor area was a lovely retreat for our souls! Michelle is the perfect hostess. Perfect space in the perfect location

As charming as this home looks on line, it is in person. The location is minutes walk from Congress in a darling neighborhood but the truth is, we dined two nights in the backyard because with all the concerns with covid, and the backyard being a beautiful setting, we didnā€™t feel one bit compromised to stay ā€œhomeā€. Perfect location, well-designed and immaculate indoor space with amazing outdoor space!

We loved our time here! My husband and I were here for our anniversary. We wanted a quiet and secluded space that was also walking distance the South Congress area and this place was all that and more! The host was very inviting and helpful but gave us all of the privacy we needed. The backyard is a true oasis of relaxation and peace. The owner clearly loves plants and her back yard is a gallery of her work! The house is the perfect size and is really well designed and decorated. It reminded me of our trips to Oaxaca, Mexico and Marta, Texas combined. We grilled out dinner on the outdoor grill at night and enjoyed our days reading in the hammocks by day. Overall, this space was exactly what two, tired and overworked artists really needed... It was inspiring and relaxing!
