Sitia Oceanides apartment is located 100 meters from the sea and 2 km from the city of Sitia.Away and protected from the city noise and the mass tourism.By the swimming pool,with a big and spacious garden,with view to the Cretan sea.It has 2 seperate bedrooms and in 50sqm can host up to 5 persons.The place is quiet,ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun by the pool.Communal pool that can be freely used,whenever you don't feel like going to the beach.Quiet complex near the sea with a fully equipped apartment,where you can absolutely enjoy your vacation.

Beautiful apartment, comfortable and a good size.

Coming from Sitia it was very easy to find - I do recommend a car rental for convenience and ease of travel. It is about a 2.5 km walk into Sitia. The property listing was very accurate and the apartment was well maintained and very comfortable for our three week stay. The grounds and pool area were beautiful - unfortunately we were too soon for fresh fruit from the trees on the property. Sitting outside on the balcony in the evening was a nice way to end the day. Both Eleni and Stelios were gracious and helpful hosts. Eleni knows the area very well and can provide helpful suggestions to make your holiday memorable. Travel to the sites east of Sitia (Touplou monastery, Vai beach and other great beaches) was convenient. Don't take the "shortcut" right beside the property to Zakros, it's quite the wild ride! For nights when you don't want to cook or are in town, our favourite restaurant in Sitia was Da Giorgio - great food and wonderful staff. Some evenings there is live greek music to enjoy. I would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to another visit to Sitia in the future.

Pure recovery!

We (2 adults, 1 child) stayed at the appartement site during the week after the Bavarian holidays in Germany. Eleni, the site manager, asked us in advance by sms if she shall buy something for us due to our late arrival on Saturday evening, which was very kind. After arriving at Sitia she gave us a very warm welcome as well as a few leaflets about Sitia and the area around us. In the coming days, the property owner made sure by sms as well that we are satisfied and everything is okay with the appartement, which gave us a special feeling that we were not only tourists. The appartement was very clean and the kitchen was equipped with all necessary things you might need. There were even plugs for mosquitos which we did not have to buy ourselves. There was air condition in each sleeping room which worked fine. After three days, a cleaning person came into the appartment and changed towels and bed linen, which we did not expect when booking an appartment for one week. But of course we liked the fact. :-) Two days we spent at the pool. It was perfect for our little 3 year old girl as there was one swimming area and a separated but integrated baby pool. The pool was filled with salt water and right next to it there were two shower stations. There are enough sunloungers around the pool and a big table with chairs made it comfortable to have a nice "Siesta" while bathing (therefore we bought some small cold dishes in town and made a Greek salad in our kitchen). We could see the sea from our balcony, but for Swimming you better drive to the beaches located around Sitia as the coast on the other side of the street is quite rough and not so easy to climb down. Sitting with a glass of wine on the balcony in the evening, we could sometimes hear the sweeping of the sea. :-) Altogether it is a well equipped site with a wonderful pool, which mainly scores by ist shepherded owners. If you are not looking for luxury but simply feel like home, this is definitely a place to be.

Wonderful sun, pool and beaches

Was a great apartment with extraordinary service and super attentive landlords. We all got sick with Covid a few days into our stay and our hosts were getting out of their way to help us with hospital, pharmacies, presents, cooking and even running errands for us. Couldn’t have done it without their endless and kind support beyond expectations. Furthermore, the location and facilities with the pool were fantastic and the Eastern region’s nice spots all within 1 hour’s reach.

A fantastic holiday in Crete

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment is very clean and the housekeeper comes twice a week. We particularly enjoyed the pool, swimming, sunbathing and eating some meals there. Maria warmly welcomed us and shared her wealth of knowledge about the area. She provided us with a map and advised us about places to visit and recommended many nice restaurants. She is, in fact, a living travel guide! We looked forward to the wonderful Greek coffee and biscuits that Maria made and brought to us at the pool each morning. There are many fruit trees in the garden and we feasted on fresh figs daily. The apartment is located in a lovely area of eastern Crete. There are fewer tourists here and the nature is spectacular with rugged mountains and beautiful beaches with sparkling turquoise water. We would happily spend another holiday at this property.

Schöner Pool

Die Anlage ist ausgesprochen gepflegt. Der Garten sehr schön angelegt und der Pool eignet sich super zum schwimmen. Maria hat uns herzlich empfangen, sogar eine Flasche Wein lag im Kühlschrank und uns gute Tips für Unternehmungen gegeben. Auch griechischen Kaffe hat sie uns immer wieder angeboten .

This is the place to be!

Die Fotos auf der Homepage spiegeln die Appartementanlage so wieder wie sie wirklich ist - traumhaft schön :-) Die Appartements befinden sich in einem wunderschönem Garten mit einer Vielzahl von Früchten (Feigen, Birnen, Trauben, Granatäpfel ...), Palmen und Blumen. Je nach Reifegrad können alle Gäste jederzeit gern zugreifen. Die Poolanlage ist fantastisch! Das Wasser (Salzwasser) ist sehr sauber und wird aller vier Tage gewechselt. Es könnten 2-4 Liegen mehr am Pool stehen, dann würde der Komfort noch größer. Die Appartements sind sehr sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Man schläft in den Betten hervorragend! Roomkeeping erfolgt aller drei, vier Tage - Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gewechselt und die Räume geputzt. Die kleine Hafenstadt Sitia ist ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Es gibt zwei Supermärkte und sehr gute Restaurants, wo man zu sehr erschwinglichen Preisen gut essen kann. Die Verwalterin Maria hat uns sehr gut betreut und mit vielen guten Hinweisen und Tipps zu den wunderbaren Stränden und Sehenswürdigkeiten im Osten Kretas geführt. Massentourismus gibt es hier nicht - nur Natur und Erholung und Entspannung. Herzlichen Dank dafür Maria und für Deinen griechischen Kaffee am Pool :-) Probleme wurden zeitnah behoben. Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen! The photos on the homepage reflect the apartment complex as it really is - fantastically beautiful :-) The apartments are located in a beautiful garden with a variety of fruits (figs, pears, grapes, pomegranates ...), palm trees and flowers. Depending on the degree of maturity, all guests are welcome to access at any time. The pool area is fantastic! The water (salt water) is very clean and is changed every four days. There could be 2-4 beach chairs more at the pool, then the comfort would be even bigger. The apartments are very clean and functional. You sleep well in the beds! Roomkeeping takes place every three or four days - bed linen and towels are changed and the rooms are cleaned. The small port town of Sitia is about 5 minutes away by car. There are two supermarkets and very good restaurants where you can eat well at very affordable prices. The manager Mary and also the owner Stelios has taken care of us very good and gave us also many good tips and hints to the wonderful beaches and sights in the east of Crete. There is no mass tourism here - just nature and recreation and relaxation. Thank you Maria and for your Greek coffee at the pool :-) We look forward to see again!

Sehr schöne Anlage im Osten Kretas

Sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage; großzügige, gut ausgestattete Räume; nette Betreuung. Aber leider "sehr verkehrsgünstig" gelegen. Gute Basis, um sich den Osten Kretas anzusehen.

Dear Susanne, After I have carefully red your review,it is not clear to me,which part of your staying in my apartment did not came up to your expectations and you decide to review your staying with 3 stars, the lowest rating we have ever received so far by one of our guests. If you were more clear about your complain, you could have helped us get better in the future and improve future stays by correcting a possible omission by our side. If your complain had something to do with the location of our apartments, please advise us which part of our precise location description ,that our guests usually read carefully before making a reservation, was not clear and precise enough,so that you would like us to correct it... That way our future guests will know exactly our location and will not expect something different from their stay. yours Stelios

Quiet and relaxing stay in a perfect location.

Essential to have a car but good location for visiting lovely little town of Sitia and beautiful beaches at Vai and Itanos. Beautiful shared pool with lovely gardens and on site parking. Thank you to Eleni for greeting us and helping with all our needs.

Holidays are made of this

Stayed at Oceanides with my wife and 2 kids. It is a very quiet and clean place to stay, making it ideal for families. Close to many beautiful beaches, plus it has a swimming pool which the kids appreciated A LOT! Will definitely stay there again.

Sehr schöne Anlage und Fewo, nette Vermieter

Die Anlage ist super gepflegt und sehr schön gelegen. Alles ist sauber und alle 4 Tage wir die Fewo sauber gemacht und neue Handtücher gebracht. Stelios und Eleni kümmern sich sehr gut darum , dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen. Auch die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Der Meerwasserpool wird alle 4 Tage erneuert und das Wasser enthält somit keine Reinigungschemie, super Sache. Im ganzen sehr entspannend.

FeWo mit ansprechender Außenanlage!

Sehr freundlicher Vermieter. Saubere, einfache Räume. Großer Pluspunkt: ELENI, welche Tips für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung, sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt und Ansprechpartner bei Problemen vor Ort ist. Sehr herzlich, aber nicht aufdringlich.

Wonderful stay!

We were very happy about the place. Especially the warm welcome and friendly staff who offered us Frappe every morning as a treat! We have two small children and the pool was good for them, offering shade in the morning and in the afternoon. Some things that were on the minus side: pool is salt water which we do not prefer, air conditioning in one of the rooms were old, noice and smelled funny, there were mosquitoes in our apartment in the back of the complex making it hard to sit outside too long in the evening and you have to throw your garbage outside the area which is quite inconvenient. However, overall it is a very nice place, the apartment is nice, tidy and clean having everything basic you might need. We would recommend it to anyone. Finally, Sitia is a wonderful part of Crete with many desolate beaches and beautiful scenery. Mikael

Beautiful venue,exceptional people.

The place is really beautiful and well maintained.It looks exactly as the photos on site.The pool is really large and thoroughly cleaned once a week.The kids had a really nice time there and in the garden surrounding the pool.Eleni and Stelios -our hosts- make sure to inform us about where to go and what was going on during our days of stay ,so that we could entertain ourselves properly. We tasted the figgs and the pears they offerd us right from the trees.Furthermore our apt was cleaned once every three days,something really important when you have children. We will definately recommend the place and we are looking forward to go back next year.

Fantastisch verblijf in Oceanides.

Heel gezellig,rustig appartement dichtbij de zee en 5 minuten rijafstand van het centrum van Sitia. Zeer goed onderhouden, met mooie tuin en zwembad. Heel sympathiek en hartelijk onthaal.

Perfekter Familienurlaub!

Diese Anlage hat einen sehr grossen Garten, wo man sich jederzeit mit Feigen und Weintrauben versorgen konnte! Die Apartments sind zweckmässig eingerichtet und für Familien sehr gut geeignet. Der Salzwasserpool ist sehr groß mit einem abgetrennten Kinderbereich und das Wasser wird einmal pro Woche komplett getauscht. Bis Sitia sind es 5 min mit dem Auto, wo man zu sehr erschwinglichen Preisen gut essen kann. Die Verwalter waren bei Problemen jederzeit erreichbar und haben sich sofort um eine Behebung gekümmert. Insgesamt kann ich einen Urlaub in diesen Apartments und dem Osten Kretas sehr empfehlen, wenn man auf Entspannung abseits des Massentourismus grossen Wert legt. Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

Great place for family vacation in a quiet area

We were well received by Eleni and Stelios (they are super sweet and very helpful) and we loved the apartment. It's a bit to the rustic side but that is just fine for a vacation. I simply loved the balcony terrasse with a beautiful view to the ocean. The proporty has a great pool and the kids loved it. We had a bit of trouble with the internet (being the last condo) but Stelios and he's crew worked even during the weekend to get the issue fixed and it was fixed to our satisfaction. We can only recommend this place and we would come back.

tres bien et agreable accueil

Appartement correct avec un espace piscine agreable. Bien situé pour rayonner a l 'est de la crete et proche commerces de Sitia. La region est belle a decouvrir et ELENI qui nous accueille et tres efficace,douce,agreable et sait tres bien indiquer les bonnes plages retirées et les bonnes tavernes. Adresse tres recommandable.

Erholung pur!

Wir (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind) besuchten die Appartement-Anlage in der Woche nach den bayerischen Pfingstferien. Eleni, die Managerin vor Ort, fragte uns vorab per SMS, als wir noch am Flughafen in München waren, ob sie für uns etwas einkaufen solle, da wir Sitia erst am späten Samstagabend erreichen würden. Sie empfing uns nach unserer Ankunft in Sitia sehr herzlich und brachte uns auch noch verschiedene Prospekte und Reiseführer von der Gegend mit. Auch der Inhaber vergewisserte sich regelmäßig per SMS, ob wir zufrieden sind und alles in Ordnung ist, was uns ein besonderes Gefühl gab, nicht irgendwelche Touristen zu sein. Das Appartement selbst war sehr sauber und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Einfach aber funktionell. Sogar Stecker gegen die Mücken gab es, die wir somit nicht extra kaufen mussten. In beiden Schlafräumen gab es jeweils eine Klimaanlage. Eine Reinigungsfrau kam nach 3 Tagen und tauschte Handtücher und Bettwäsche, was wir auch eher unüblich aber natürlich sehr angenehm für eine Ferienwohnung fanden. Zwei Tage verbrachten wir auch am Pool. Dieser war perfekt für unsere 3-jährige Tochter, denn es gab einen Schwimmbereich und einen abgeteilten Kinderbereich. Der Pool war mit Salzwasser gefüllt, gleich daneben befanden sich zwei Duschen. Es gibt genügend Sonnenliegen um den Pool herum, ein großer Tisch mit Stühlen ermöglicht sogar die ein oder andere entspannte Siesta (hier besorgten wir uns teilweise vorgekochte Vorspeisen aus Sitia). Das Meer war von unserer Terrasse zu sehen, zum Baden fährt man aber lieber ein paar Kilometer weiter, da es vor der Straße des Appartements nur eine felsige Küste gibt, die nicht so easy zu überwinden ist. Wenn man abends mit einem Glas Wein auf der Terrasse sitzt, kann man sogar das Meeresrauschen hören. :-) Alles in allem eine sehr gut ausgestattete Anlage mit tollem Pool, die aber vor allem durch Ihre umsorgenden Inhaber punktet. Wer keinen großen Luxus sucht sondern sich einfach nur wohlfühlen möchte, ist hier genau richtig.

unforgettable summer holidays

We had the most amazing summer time in Sitia!The apartment is located in a really nice, safe and quiet area, close to city center where you can find a lot of nice restaurants and traditional "rakadika". Some of the most beautiful Cretan beaches are really close but you always have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the sun by the pool!!The apartment is clean and comfortable and the owners very kind, ready to help you and provide all the necessary information about anything you need. I would definitely recommend it!!!
