Brand new construction! Peaceful chalet overlooking a pond with 360 degree views of mountains of fun! St. Mary's offers hiking, cycling, fishing in our stocked lakes, 4 wheeling & bird watching. We are within walking distance of the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead which is a 1 mile hike up to some of the most beautiful views and photographs in the world. Create lasting memories while being surrounded with ultimate comfort. Family Friendly, huge deck - Starlink Internet! Chalet Auguste has a deluxe, tankless hot water heater for luxurious hot showers after a day of fun in the mountains. New hot tub and trees have just been installed! If you are visitingus Oct- May, we have one of the most accessible homes on the mountain, but 4 wheel drive is still necessary due to the snow storms we can have.
If you have dreamed of eloping, renewing your vows or celebrating your anniversary at St. Maryā€™s we would love to make your day memorable and even have faux cakes available for rent or purchase. Our cakes help create beautiful photographs without the expensive bakery price tag.
The space
This home is new construction with every window and door placed to capture the best views of the beautiful pond and mountains! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one that is an en-suite) with two desk/office spaces for remote work. Starlink internet provides amazing WiFi for all of your streaming devices and the open concept kitchen and living room are perfect for everyone to enjoy their time together. The large wrap around deck overlooks the pond and comes with furniture for you to enjoy a meal or your morning coffee.
A new 5 person hot tub and trees have just been installed!
Other things to note:
Chalet Auguste is at 10,800 foot elevation. It is important to hydrate the day before you arrive and during your visit to avoid altitude sickness. We have county maintained roads but Four Wheel Drive vehicles are necessary October through May due to our snow storms.

i was impressed. the pictures don't do it justice. it was perfect for my daughter and me. we really enjoyed the private cubby for reading and the hot tub under the stars. just what we needed. very relaxing. of all the (4) places we stayed this vacation, this was our favorite. idaho springs is a hidden gem.

This place is a hidden gem!

This is a true mountain escape if youā€™re looking to disconnect while still having access within a beautiful 20 min drive to solid restaurants, groceries, hot springs, and ski resorts within 30 to 45 mins. This place checks all the boxes. Took some friends up for a ski trip and definitely plan to take my wife and kids back here soon during any season. It must be amazing in the summer and fall. Looking forward to it.

This new construction property is clean, cozy, and would highly recommend. Super cute decorating and the welcome basket of goodies was so nice and unexpected. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning views!

The house was spotless and check in was a breeze. The views from this property will have you speechless. The host was super responsive and answered all of our questions. There are plenty of things do to around the area. We hiked every day, fished the lakes, took in a concert at Red Rocks and even went whitewater rafting. Highly recommend staying here as it is close to Idaho Springs and a 40 minute drive to Red Rocks. There was a welcome basket full of goodies, brand new appliances, comfy beds and the hot tub was icing on the cake. We will definitely be back. Thanks Ashlyn for a great vacation.

Peaceful and private

A new experience for us being so high in the mountains in an isolated community. We hardly saw anyone. Loved how close we were to St. Maryā€™s glacier. Idaho Springs was a short way too and we got very comfortable with the winding road!

Staycation

We are two ladies in our 60s from Colorado who wanted a little staycation not far from Denver. This was the perfect spot.The house is lovely and very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the birds from the deck, sitting by the pond and walking in the area. It was so peaceful. Back at the house we had a great kitchen for cooking our meals, playing games and putting together puzzles while listening to our favorite music. The living room was perfect for movies and reading. Each of the bedrooms were cozy and perfectly decorated. It was nice to have two bathrooms. We didnā€™t use the laundry or hot tub but it was good to know they were there. We will tell our friends and we will be back!

Clean and unique house

This house was very clean, pretty comfortable and easy to find. The treats and the coffee were very welcome. The beds were both comfortable. The kitchen was fantastic and the deck very inviting. The hot tub worked great. The place will be even better when the trees and the yard start maturing. It is awesome how close to the Saint Mary's hiking it is. The price was competitive and we would stay here again.

Intoxicating.

This was a stunning property with a lot to offer. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a good meal. The hostess (Ashlyn) is amazing and one of the most helpful people I have ever met. The property is located in a great location that easily provides access to Winter Park or Idaho Springs. An easy drive further up Fall River rd and you can access paid parking for the St Mary's Glacier hike, I have done the hike more than once and I think it's completely worth it. Sunrise, or sunset, whichever you prefer are stunning from the wrap-around deck, and the stars that come out at night are so visible you get lost just staring up at them. If you are looking for peace and quiet that is exactly what you will get here. I love coming to St Mary's in the winter, with the snow all around it's so quiet you can close your eyes and hear your heartbeat. This is the ideal location for a romantic weekend getaway or a family vacation where the kids can hike and play in the snow.

The property was exactly as described. Beds were comfy and the place was clean and uniquely decorated (especially, the Hobbit Hole). Communication and check in were excellent. We really appreciated the emergency spaghetti dinner kit and snacks provided, since we arrived at 5:30 pm. The neighborhood around the place is in transition. Landscaping is in progress and several rough looking cabins are within view. It didnā€™t bother us, since we spent most of our time hiking in the area and not at the house. We did not have the chance to use the hot tub, but it looks brand new. St Maryā€™s Glacier trail is within uphill walking distance, which is good since parking at the trailhead is $10-20. Town is a 20 min drive away, so plan grocery shopping accordingly. The chateau is stocked with veg. oil and plenty of spices.

Cozy Home in the Mountains

First and Foremostā€¦.CLEAN!! This place was wonderfully clean when we checked in!! Nice bedding, comfortable beds, nice furniture and a stocked kitchen. We hiked almost every day while in Colorado so we took advantage of the hot tub several times. The supplied towels for the hot tub were extremely plush and new. The dining table was perfect for our family of four. The sleeping accommodations of two beds and the couch worked for our family of four. As a newer construction there is still a little work that I believe is in the process of being completed. The view of the lake from the hot tub was nice, and will be better once the landscaping is completed. The steps to the hot tub need to be completed for installation, but once done should have no issues. My only other recommendation would be a rug for dirty shoes by the entrance. Otherwise a wonderful home in the mountains!! We would definitely rent again.
