Copper Birch Studio - Basecamp to Adventure

The Copper Birch private studio is your ideal basecamp for adventure. Our prime location is only 40 minutes from Anchorage, less than10 to Palmer, 15 to Wasilla, and 3 miles to the Alaska State Fair. Enjoy weekly local farmers' markets and food trucks. Less than 5 miles from the Mat-su Regional Hospital, this is an ideal location for traveling nurses as well. Our quiet neighborhood with no thorough fare traffic has access to miles of UAF trails and 3 lakes that you can walk to or rent our kayaks and canoe.
Bask in views of Pioneer Peak from the hammock, soak in the corner jacuzzi tub, and enjoy the fire pit gazebo.

The Space
Your private studio facing Pioneer Peak has a boutique feel with rustic charm. Enjoy your morning coffee on the interior bay window swing, your private patio with full size grill, by the cozy gas fireplace, or outside in the fire pit gazebo. Walk the path through the trees from your private parking area up the stairs to your suite.

The Copper Birch decor includes hand-painted birch trees with copper accents, emerald bay velvet drapes, USB charging station night stands, a king size bed with extra bedding, a twin electric air mattress with bedding, his and her granite vanity sinks, corner jetted jacuzzi tub, dining table for 2, bar space for 2, walk through gallery closet, shower, live edge shelving, custom birch log decor, Cusinart toaster oven that broils, bakes, and air fries, Keurig coffee machine, french press, electric skillet, microwave, and mini refrigerator with freezer.

Our property is heated by radiant in-floor heat and is on a private well. Water is filtered and treated with a water conditioning system for prime drinking water out of all of our faucets.

Guest Access
Park in your own private area near the Copper Birch sign and walk past the gazebo fire pit on your left UP THE METAL GRATED STAIRS to your patio with full size grill and outdoor seating for 2. You will likely see eagles flying overhead during your stay. If a moose visits the property, please DO NOT FEED them or approach them. Enter your individual door code on the keypad to enter the suite through the sliding door.

Other Things To Note
We have 2 single kayaks for rent and a 3 seater canoe at $40 each per day (including life vests & fishing gear) with drop-off and pick-up service at 4 local neighborhood lakes: Kepler/Bradley, Canoe, Irene, and Long Lake when available.

We would be happy to provide a Pack n' Play travel crib and high chair if needed. Please let us know if there are any other requests that would make your stay more enjoyable.

Best place to stay in Almer AK

The place is beautiful, owner went out of her way to make us comfortable. View of mountains is beautiful. Whirlpool was great. Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Best place by far that we stayed at in our two weeks in Alaska.

What a beautiful spot! The decor was just so creative and carefully done. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Loved having a coffee maker, toaster oven and fridge. And the tub! Amazing! Canā€™t recommend this spot highly enough!

My husband and I did a10 day stay the Copper Birch Studio and it was great. Very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Tina communicated very well and even brought us a loaf of banana bread one morning. She has decorated this place just perfectly and it is even better in person than the pictures. We would definitely stay her again when we come to visit our daughter and 7 grandchildren in Palmer next year.

Our stay was fantastic, exactly as described, view was fantastic, bathtub was superb. Very comfortable for our 2 night stay. I set the smoke alarm off within a 1/2 hour of our arrival reheating food in the airfryer & host was very gracious about it! Tina delivered warm cookie bars to us & invited us to her family night bonfire. We were extremely worn out & didnā€™t take her up on it but appreciated the invite! Lovely stay & would recommend to anyone.

Great place to stay

The Copper Burch was perfect for our quick trip to Alaska. Close to my family in Palmer, close to great hikes and fun in the rivers. The small kitchen amenities were perfect for coffee and quick bite and to warm up our left overs. Tina leaves lots of little snacks and goodies to make the stay coozie. And the jacuzzi was a great treat!! Great little studio, well priced and just what we needed.

The stay was great. Directions to the unit was very good, no problems getting key. Tina checked on us to see if everything was fine. She even brought us up some fresh baked cookies(which by the way was delicious). The view of pioneer peak was awesome. Bed was very comfortable and had the softest towels I have ever seen in a vrbo or hotel. The unit appliances all worked great. The inside of unit was nicely decorated. I highly recommend the stay to anyone looking for a view and a quiet place to relax.

The perfect getaway

The copper birch was so perfect for our stay, the views were incredible and our host was nothing short of amazing! Tina was very quick to respond and make sure we had everything we needed! She even made us a rhubarb crisp! The place is just like itā€™s pictured and I would def stay here again when in Alaska! I would recommend to everyone!

The Details!!!

This place is way better than the pictures can describe! There are little details that just add to the experience. Small things, like thoughtful snacks were provided to make our stay more enjoyable. Tina is the property owner and she was as sweet as the banana bread she made! The first day she text me and asked if we needed anything. She was available if needed while we were there. Everything was so cute! The picture window in the pictures with the mountain view was incredible! I sat there for about an hour every morning while drinking my coffee. It was absolutely breathtaking! There just are no words to describe how wonderful our stay was! This place is well taken care of and so comfy and cozy!

Beautiful and cozy

Pictures do not do the space justice. It has a very warm and cozy feel and the space is utilized well. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever felt at a rental, and the jetted tub was just the cherry on top. The bathroom is actually quite large and spacious. Everything we needed was provided and we were very thankful for that. Including a fan and a white noise machine (which we forgot at home) to help with naps for our 7 month old daughter. That was a very pleasant surprise! The location is also perfect, right in between Palmer and Wasilla, and far enough off the main highway so traffic and noise was not an issue. The host (Tina) was also extremely friendly and helpful. There was a small hiccup during check-in, and she responded lightning fast and corrected it. Then she went above and beyond with a special gift, wine, and chocolate, as well as fresh baked banana bread! My family and I were very grateful for her kindness and hospitality. We will be saving this listing for future visits to Palmer.
